Outcomes of Gathered Electricity on Nanoparticle Enhancement in Pulsed-Laser Dewetting associated with AgCu Skinny Motion pictures.
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are ubiquitous carcinogenic pollutants. Areas where crude oil has been exploited are at risk due to PAHs from both natural and anthropogenic sources. The Shengli Oilfield in China was used to assess the health risk posed by PAHs in areas with different population densities. A risk assessment showed that in the areas with low, median, and high population densities, the probabilities of the total carcinogenic risk (TCR) exceeding 10-6 for adults were 9.9%, 9.3%, and 13.4%, respectively, whereas these were 7.8%, 7.1%, and 10.1%, respectively, for children. Crude oil, traffic, and residential emissions were the major sources of PAHs based on a factor analysis with a nonnegative constraint analysis. Crude oil sources accounted for 96.1% of the TCR in the low population area, whereas traffic accounted for 94.4% of the TCR in the high population area. Based on the national action plan, guidelines, and new standard for soil pollution control promulgated by the Chinese government, we assumed a reduced rate of soil PAHs from different sources, and the carcinogenic risk from PAHs in the area of crude oil exploitation could be forecast. The average probabilities of the TCR exceeding 10-6 for adults and children could be reduced by 45.8% and 49.4%, respectively, in 2040 relative to current values under a pollution control scenario. These findings highlight that the risks associated with soil contamination could be effectively controlled by implementing control policies.
To evaluate variations in nurses' sleep quality and symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress during the COVID-19 outbreak, and to evaluate whether the presence of potential risk factors influenced these symptoms over time.

This prospective cohort study surveyed nurses three times - surveying personal factors, working conditions, family dynamics, and attitude towards COVID-19 - between March 31 and May 4, 2020. Nurses' mental health was assessed through Depression Anxiety Stress Scales - short version (DASS-21); their sleep quality was assessed through a 5-point Likert scale question.

Nurses' sleep quality and symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress presented a positive variation over the COVID-19 outbreak. The only factors which are directly related to the COVID-19 outbreak and that were associated with the positive variation in nurses' symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress were the fear to infect others and the fear to be infected (higher fear of being infected or to infect someone corresponded to increased symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress).

Although the COVID-19 outbreak seems to have had an immediate impact on nurses' mental health, a psychological adaptation phenomenon was also observed. Future research should focus on assessing nurses' symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress, after the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to compare and contrast the findings with the results of our study.

Dynamics of disease development in infected patients (PCR test for the virus) and, dynamics of changes in blood concentration of C-reactive protein, immunoglobulin M, specific immunoglobulin G were studied. High efficiency of thermoheliox in releasing the organism from the virus and stimulating the immune response (thermovaccination effect) was shown. The kinetic model of the process is proposed and analyzed.Cryopreservation-induced cell death is regarded as an important problem faced by cryobiologists. Oxidative stress and programmed cell death are detrimental to cell survival. Serine protease inhibitors (serpins) inhibit pro-cell-death proteases and play a pro-survival role in excessive cell death induced by abiotic stress. In this study, ApSerpin-ZX was isolated from Agapanthus praecox and characterized as a protective protein in plant cryopreservation. The mRNA level of ApSerpin-ZX was elevated under abiotic stress, such as salt, osmosis, oxidative, cold, and cryoinjury. The purified recombinant protein expressed in E. coli was added to the plant vitrification solution and used for A. praecox embryogenic callus cryopreservation. The concentration of 0.6-4.8 mg∙L-1 of ApSerpin-ZX protein was beneficial to the survival of cryopreserved embryogenic callus of A. praecox. The most effective concentration was 1.2 mg∙L-1, which elevated the survival by 37.15%. Subsequently, the cryopreservation procedure with 1.2 mg∙L-1 of ApSerpin-ZX protein was regarded as the treated group, compared to standard procedure, to determine the physiological mechanism of ApSerpin-ZX protein on cryopreserved cell. The MDA and H2O2 contents were significantly decreased in the treated group, along with reduced OH· generation activity in the recovery stage. After the addition of ApSerpin-ZX, the POD and CAT activities keep increased, while SOD activity increased only after dehydration. Besides, the caspase-1-like and caspase-3-like activities were lower than the standard procedure. This study indicated that ApSerpin-ZX was a potential cryoprotective agent that alleviated oxidative stress and cell death induced by cryopreservation.
To determine how overground robotic (OR) training added to ongoing rehabilitation affects gait speed, lower extremity function, functional mobility, and fatigue in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS) and moderate to severe gait impairments.

Randomized controlled trial.

Outpatient setting at the Multiple Sclerosis Association of Bizkaia, an association serving MS patients in Bizkaia, Spain.

Individuals with MS (N=36) participated in this interventional study. Inclusion criteria were age of 18 years or older, Expanded Disability Status Scale score between 4.5 and 7, and the need for assistive devices for walking outdoors.

The control group (CG) engaged in an ongoing rehabilitation program consisting of weekly 1-hour individualized sessions. The intervention group (OR group) also participated in this program in addition to a twice-weekly individualized and progressive OR gait training intervention for 3 months, aiming to reach a maximum of 40 minutes by the end of the 3-month period.

Primary outincreasing perceived fatigue in participants. Thus, OR exoskeletons could be considered a tool to deliver intensive practice of good-quality gait training in individuals with MS and moderate to severe gait impairments. Further studies are necessary to confirm these preliminary results.
Dermatologic care was halted because of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, prompting us to study the usefulness of direct-to-patient teledermatology via a mobile application. We aimed to evaluate the service as a tool for avoiding face-to-face consultations, describe the main conditions diagnosed, and assess levels of patient and physician satisfaction.

Prospective descriptive study of new patients who met the inclusion criteria. Descriptive statistics for all variables were analyzed with SPSS.

Of the 1,497 patients who agreed to participate in the study, 25% (n=374) sent an image to a consultant dermatologist through the mobile application. Sixty-four patients (17%) were discharged directly and referred to primary care for follow-up. A face-to-face consultation was avoided for at least 3 months in 85% of patients (n=318); 87.1% (n=325) received a diagnosis and the dermatologist's level of confidence in this diagnosis was 7 or higher in 77.5% of cases (n=290). The quality of the images sent was considered sufficient in 52.1% of cases. Patients rated their satisfaction with a score of 4.5 out of 5. Eleven of the 16 dermatologists rated their satisfaction as good overall. The most common conditions were inflammatory and melanocytic lesions. The main diagnoses were nevi, acne, and eczema.

Direct-to-patient store-and-forward teledermatology is an effective means of evaluating new patients. Both clinicians and patients expressed high levels of satisfaction with the service. Systems enabling the addition of digital images to patient records are necessary to ensure the efficiency of teledermatology.

These diseases are often at the interface between nephrology and endocrinology. In this spirit of a multidisciplinary care, each specialty can bring its own critical point of view and its own specificities to improve patient care. The objective of this manuscript is to "read" with a nephrologist's point of view the main frameworks of diseases of phosphate/calcium metabolism, to illustrate the three crucial messages of nephro-protection sent to endocrinologists. First, calciuria must be interpreted both in absolute value (concentration hypercalciuria) and in ratio (flow hypercalciuria). Second, renal monitoring of therapies inducing hypercalciuria on kidneys with normal renal function (e.g. active vitamin D analogs or teriparatide) should be systematic. Last, hyperphosphatemia, often latent in hypoparathyroidism and pseudo-hypoparathyroidism, should be detected and at least benefit from dietary measures, in the context of Western diets rich in phosphate hidden in food additives.
Watch and wait is a novel management strategy in patients with rectal cancer who have a clinical complete response after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. Surveillance of these patients is generally intensive, because local regrowth (with the potential for salvage) occurs in 25% of patients, and distant metastases occur in 10% of patients. It is unclear for how long these patients should be followed up. To address this issue, we did conditional survival modelling using the International Watch & Wait Database (IWWD), which is a large-scale registry of patients with a clinical complete response after neoadjuvant chemotherapy who have been managed by a watch-and-wait strategy.

We did a retrospective, multicentre registry study using a dataset from the IWWD, which includes data from 47 clinics across 15 countries. We selected patients (aged ≥18 years) with rectal cancer who had a clinical complete response after neoadjuvant chemotherapy, and who were subsequently managed by a watch-and-wait strategy between al Research Centre.
