The comparison of the potential service supply of the four soil-related ES in the scenarios enabled the assessment of the long-term effect of the ES control of erosion rates. The mitigated reduction in the potential service supply for three of the considered ES (crop provision, water filtration, water flow regulation) is large and highlights the importance of sustainable soil management. Contrary to this, the ES fresh water provision benefits of erosion-induced soil profile reductions.
This systematic review aimed to identify effective medicinal plants for the treatment of mucositis induced by oncotherapy.

The clinical question was the following "Which medicinal plants are effective in the treatment of oral mucositis induced by cancer treatment?" (PubMed, Medline, Web of Science, Scopus, Lilacs, and SciELO). The keywords were the following phytotherapy OR "herbal drug" OR "plant extract" OR plant OR "medicinal plant" OR pharmacognosy OR ethnobotany OR ethnomedicine OR ethnopharmacology OR "flower essences" OR "natural product" AND mucositis OR mucositides OR stomatitis OR stomatitides OR "oral ulcer" AND chemotherapy OR radiotherapy OR immunotherapy OR cancer OR neoplasm OR neoplasm OR tumor OR tumor. The inclusion criteria for the selection of articles were the type of study design (clinical trials) and the studied population (cancer patients presenting lesions of oral mucositis having undergone treatment with medicinal plants).

After evaluation of the works, 24 of 893 articles were selected. Matricaria chamomilla (chamomilla) presented promising results, such as a reduction in severity and lesion incidence with improved pain symptomatology. The plant extracts Isatis indigótica, Olea europaea, Calendula officinalis, A. digitatae, and M. sylvestris improved the lesions. Mucotrol™ and QRLYD herbal products improved the degree of severity of the lesions, while SAMITAL® and MUCOSYTE allowed for greater pain control.

The complementary treatment of oral mucositis in cancer patients, with analgesic and anti-inflammatory actions with lower side effects, is an alternative for healthcare professionals.

The isolates were screened for biosurfactant activity using drop collapse assay, hemolysis assay, oil spreading assay, emulsification, and surface tension measurement. The effect of environmental parameters--temperature [35 - 100 °C], pH [3.0 - 10.0], and salinity [0.5 - 15%]--on biosurfactant stability was also determined. Ultra-performance liquid chromatography in conjunction with electrospray ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC ESI-TOF MS) analysis revealed that both isolates produced surfactin isomers and a common mass peak of m/z 1326.1 that was ascribed to a precursor of the antibiotic plantazolicin (PZN). Isolate SAD18 was also found to produce the lipopeptides fengycin and iturin. Taxonomic classification based on partial 16S rRNA gene sequencing revealed that isolates SAB19 and SAD18 belonged to the Brevibacillus and Bacillus genera, respectively. The GenBank accession numbers obtained for SAB19 and SAD18 are MW429226 and MW441217. Biosurfactant extracts from isolate SAD18 exhibited the greatest level of surfactant activity and stability over the range of environmental parameters tested. Although no novel biosurfactants were identified, it was confirmed that the peatland environment represents an untapped source of microbial diversity with potential biotechnological applications.Anderson-type polyoxometalate containing Fe3+ and Mo6+, (NH4)3[H6Fe(III)Mo6O24] (FeMo6), was found to work as an oxidase-mimicking nanoenzyme for the first time, exhibiting the ability of catalytic oxidation of o-phenylenediamine (OPD), 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTs), and 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB), which features easy synthesis, low cost, simple operation, and low consumption. Attributed to the nature of FeMo6 and Fenton-like effect, a novel sensor based on two consecutive "turn on" fluorescence was developed for detecting dopamine (DA) by employing the FeMo6-OPD system, and the linear range was from 1 to 100 μM with the detection limit 0.0227 μM (3σ/s). Tofacitinib chemical structure Moreover, to increase oxidase-mimic activity of FeMo6, reduced graphene oxide (rGO) loading FeMo6 composites (FeMo6@rGO (n), n = 5%, 10%, 15%) was fabricated, and results show that oxidase-like activities of FeMo6@rGO (n) are dependent on the mass ratio of FeMo6/rGO, and FeMo6@rGO (10%) exhibits the highest oxidase-mimic activity and the fastest respond time (4 min) among all reported oxidase mimic of DA to date. Graphical abstract Anderson-type Mo-POMs FeMo6 was found to work as an oxidase-mimicking nanoenzyme for the first time and was used to detect DA for two consecutive "turn on" fluorescence sensor modes. The aim of this study is to collect paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) patient data from hematology centers all over Turkey in order to identify clinical features and management of PNH patients. Patients with PNH were evaluated by a retrospective review of medical records from 19 different institutions around Turkey. Patient demographics, medical history, laboratory findings, and PNH-specific information, including symptoms at the diagnosis, complications, erythrocyte, and granulocyte clone size, treatment, and causes of death were recorded. Sixty patients (28 males, 32 females) were identified. The median age was 33 (range; 17-77) years. Forty-six patients were diagnosed as classic PNH and 14 as secondary PNH. Fatigue and abdominal pain were the most frequent presenting symptoms. After eculizumab became available in Turkey, most of the patients (n = 31/46, 67.4%) were switched to eculizumab. Three patients with classic PNH underwent stem cell transplantation. The median survival time was 42 (range; 7-183 months) months.
