Based on the polyphasic characterization, strain M26A2MT is considered to represent a novel species within a novel genus of the family Rhodobacteraceae, for which the name Cochlodiniinecator piscidefendens gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. Decitabine The type strain is M26A2MT (=KCTC 82083T=JCM 34119T).The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic continues to expand globally, with case numbers rising in many areas of the world, including the Indian sub-continent. Pakistan has one of the world's largest populations, of over 200 million people and is experiencing a severe third wave of infections caused by SARS-CoV-2 that began in March 2021. In Pakistan, during the third wave until now only 12 SARS-CoV-2 genomes have been collected and among these nine are from Islamabad. This highlights the need for more genome sequencing to allow surveillance of variants in circulation. In fact, more genomes are available among travellers with a travel history from Pakistan, than from within the country itself. We thus aimed to provide a snapshot assessment of circulating lineages in Lahore and surrounding areas with a combined population of 11.1 million. Within a week of April 2021, 102 samples were sequenced. The samples were randomly collected from two hospitals with a diagnostic PCR cutoff value of less than 25 cycles. Analysis of the lineages shows that the Alpha variant of concern (first identified in the UK) dominates, accounting for 97.9 % (97/99) of cases, with the Beta variant of concern (first identified in South Africa) accounting for 2.0 % (2/99) of cases. No other lineages were observed. In depth analysis of the Alpha lineages indicated multiple separate introductions and subsequent establishment within the region. Eight samples were identical to genomes observed in Europe (seven UK, one Switzerland), indicating recent transmission. Genomes of other samples show evidence that these have evolved, indicating sustained transmission over a period of time either within Pakistan or other countries with low-density genome sequencing. Vaccines remain effective against Alpha, however, the low level of Beta against which some vaccines are less effective demonstrates the requirement for continued prospective genomic surveillance.Strain Q3-56T, isolated from Arctic tundra soil, was found to be a Gram-stain-negative, yellow-pigmented, oxidase- and catalase-positive, non-motile, non-spore-forming, rod-shaped and aerobic bacterium. Strain Q3-56T grew optimally at pH 7.0 and 28 °C. The strain could tolerate up to 1 % (w/v) NaCl with optimum growth in the absence of NaCl. The strain was not sensitive to oxacillin and ceftazidime. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain Q3-56T belonged to the genus Dyadobacter. Strain Q3-56T showed the highest sequence similarities to Dyadobacter luticola T17T (96.58 %), Dyadobacter ginsengisoli Gsoil 043T (96.50 %), Dyadobacter flavalbus NS28T (96.43 %) and Dyadobacter bucti QTA69T (96.43 %). The predominant respiratory isoprenoid quinone was identified as MK-7, The polar lipid profile of strain Q3-56T was found to contain one phosphatidylethanolamine, three unidentified aminolipids, three unidentified lipids and one unidentified phospholipid. The G+C content of the genomic DNA was determined to be 49.1 mol%. The main fatty acids were summed feature 3 (comprising C16 1 ω7c/C16 1 ω6c), iso-C15 0, C16 1 ω5c and iso-C16 1 3-OH. On the basis of the evidence presented in this study, a novel species of the genus Dyadobacter, Dyadobacter sandarakinus sp. nov., is proposed, with the type strain Q3-56T (=CCTCC AB 2019271T=KCTC 72739T). Emended descriptions of Dyadobacter alkalitolerans, Dyadobacter koreensis and Dyadobacter psychrophilus are also provided.Although infertility is not a life-threatening condition, it decreases the quality of life of people. This single blind randomized controlled trial was conducted with 80 women who received infertility treatment in an IVF Center located in a city center in the west of Turkey between May 2020 and February 2021. In this study, the adsorption-desorption equilibrium of water vapor were conducted at 298, 308, 318, and 328 K on three adsorbents hypercrosslinked polymeric adsorbents (HPA), activated carbon fiber (ACF) and granular activated carbon (GAC). The obtained isotherms were type V and the adsorption capacity at the same condition was GAC>ACF>HPA. cluster formation induced micropore filling (CIMF) model was adopted to fit the adsorption isotherms and the fitting parameters showed that adsorption capacities of water vapor on micropores and functional groups had a negative logarithmic linear relationship with temperature. The existence of functional groups could weaken the negative influence of temperature on the water adsorption performance, while the influence of temperature had negligible relationship with microporous volume. The hysteresis loops at different temperatures on three adsorbents had similar shape, the size of micropore adsorption, but their size had positive relationships with both functional groups and microporous volume.As a trace element, selenium can cause serious harm to organisms when the concentration is too high. Coal-fired power plants are the main source of man-made selenium emissions. How to control the selenium pollution of coal-fired power plants to realize the renewable selenium and the sustainability of coal has not attracted enough attention from the whole world. This paper outlines the conversion and occurrence of selenium in coal-fired power plants. A small part of the selenium produced by combustion can be removed by selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and electrostatic precipitator (ESP) after the gas phase undergoes physical condensation and chemical adsorption to combine with the particulate matter in the flue gas.Because the chemical precipitation method has poor selenium removal effect, the remaining part enters the flue gas desulfurization absorption tower and can be enriched in the desulfurization slurry. The occurrence situation and conversion pathway of selenium in desulfurization slurry are introduy. It is of great significance for policy formulation of recommended control technologies and emission limits. It is of great value for the formulation of recommended control technology and the in-depth study of the selenium transformation process.ABSTRACTKlebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase (KPC)-producing Enterobacterales are prevalent worldwide and pose an alarming threat to public health. The incidence and transmission of blaKPC-2 gene via horizontal gene transfer (e.g. transposition) have been well documented. However, the dynamics of transposon structure bearing blaKPC-2 and their exact effects on the evolution and dissemination of blaKPC-2 gene are not well characterized. Here, we collected all 161 carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales (CRE) isolates during the early stage of CRE pandemic. We observed that the prevalence of KPC-2-producing Enterobacterales was mediated by multiple species and sequence types (STs), and that blaKPC-2 gene was located on three diverse variants of Tn1721 in multi-drug resistance (MDR) region of plasmid. Notably, the outbreak of KPC-2-producing plasmid is correlated with the dynamics of transposon structure. Furthermore, we experimentally demonstrated that replicative transposition of Tn1721 and IS26 promotes horizontal transfer of blaKPC-2 and the evolution of KPC-2-producing plasmid. The Tn1721 variants appearing concurrently with the peak of an epidemic (A2- and B-type) showed higher transposition frequencies and a certain superior ability to propagation. Overall, our work suggests replicative transposition contributes to the evolution and transmission of KPC-2-producing plasmid and highlights its important role in the inter- and intra-species dissemination of blaKPC-2 gene in Enterobacterales.In women with primary dysmenorrhea (PD), the use of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) and productivity losses at both workplaces and schools have not been comprehensively assessed. In this study, researchers evaluated the disease burden in women with PD in patients' perspective in two categories direct cost (the use of CAM and associated costs) and indirect cost (productivity losses). Women with PD aged 16-49 years were asked to fill an online survey in 2017. The survey consisted of 49 questions. CAM included traditional Korean medicines, over-the-counter products, dietary supplements, and traditional remedies. All costs were expressed in US dollars in this study. The survey data from 86 patients with PD were analyzed. The total mean annual cost per patient with PD was $4053, comprising direct costs ($1245) and indirect costs ($2807). PD causes considerable expenditure on CAM and impairs work productivity (especially in presenteeism).This research was conducted to examine the relationship of perceived social support, personality traits, and self-esteem of pregnant women with fear of childbirth. The study was performed between April 15, 2016 and May 15, 2016 using face-to-face interviews with 128 pregnant women who were at 28-40 weeks of pregnancy. A negative correlation between the fear of childbirth and the levels of social support perceived by pregnant women and a positive correlation between the fear of childbirth and self-esteem were observed. Furthermore, a negative correlation between the fear of childbirth and extraversion, self-discipline, and openness to development and a positive correlation between the fear of childbirth and neurotic personality traits were noted. Hence, we propose that social support status, personality traits, and self-esteem of pregnant women should be viewed as risk factors for the fear of childbirth.The two-stage technology of porous carbonaceous material obtained via pyrolysis in inert medium with subsequent activation by steam is well known. While steam could be a suitable substance for pyrolysis as well, single-staged technology for waste tire recycling is yet to be developed. A comparative analysis of the characteristics of the carbonaceous materials obtained by the single-staged steam pyrolysis of waste tires was carried out, which could provide a theoretical background for the development of such technology. The steam pyrolysis was performed in a tubular reactor in an overheated steam medium (500°C with 5 kg/h mass flow rate). The technical characteristics of the obtained samples were evaluated in the context of their potential for further application as absorbent and raw material for rubber production according to Chemical Abstracts Service No. 1333-86-4. The composition and physico-chemical properties of the obtained samples were studied using BET and thermogravimetric analysis, atomic emission, transmission and scanning electron microscopies, Raman, X-ray diffraction, and photoelectron spectroscopies.
