Sepsis is a clinical crisis which has been considered as one of the important causes of mortality across the world. We hypothesized that modulation of hyper-inflammatory phase of sepsis pathophysiology can lead to protective effects on survival outcome. Glatiramer acetate (GA) is a neuroprotective drug commonly used in multiple sclerosis (MS). GA is characterized by immunom activity via regulation of innate and adaptive immunity. Thisstudy was designed to evaluate the acute treatment with GA on initial inflammatory response-induced mortality in septic mice.

Cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) model was operated on male mice as a model of Polymicrobial sepsis. GA was administrated intraperitoneally after the sepsis induction at doses of 0.5, 1, and 2mg/kg in three treatment groups. To investigate the effect of GA on short-term survival, septic mice were observed during 72h after CLP. Serum levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 as pro-inflammatory cytokines and also IL-10 as a critical anti-inflammatory cytokine were analysed. To consider sepsis-induced acute kidney injury, renal functional biomarkers and histopathological changes was assessed.

GA treatment significantly improved survival rate at doses of 1, and 2mg/kg. Survival improvement was accompanied by remarkable reduction in the pro-inflammatory cytokines and enhanced production of IL-10. GA showed to have protective effects on renal function as well.

This study aimed to access the protective effects of d-ribose-l-cysteine (DRLC) on cyclophosphamide (CPA) induced gonadal toxicity in male rats.

Forty-eight male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into six groups of eight rats each. Group I the control, received distilled water (10ml/kg), Group II received a single dose of CPA 100mg/kg body weight intraperitoneally (i.p), Groups III and IV received a single dose of CPA at 100mg/kg (i.p) and then were treated with DRLC at 200mg/kg bodyweight (b.w) and 400mg/kg b.w for 10days, respectively. Rats in Groups V and VI received DRLC at 200 and 400mg/kg b.w for 10days, respectively. DRLC was administered orally.

Results showed that CPA increased percentage of abnormal sperm cells and reduced body weight, sperm count, sperm motility, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH) and testosterone levels (p<0.05). CPA also induced oxidative stress as indicated by the increased malondialdehyde (MDA) content and reduced activities of the oxidative enzymes measured (p<0.05). Liver enzymes were elevated while the blood cells production was decreased in the rats administered CPA. DRLC supplementation enhanced the antioxidant defence system as indicated in the reduced MDA levels and increased activities of the antioxidant enzymes when compared with CPA (p<0.05). Bodyweight, sperm count, sperm motility, FSH, and testosterone levels were increased in the CPA+DRLC II group compared with CPA (p<0.05).

Although successful results are achieved with treatment methods applied in rehabilitation clinics, there are also some disadvantages in this process, such as dependence on an expert and high costs. Developments in mechatronic technologies have accelerated the development of assistive devices which are designed for use at home. One of the rehabilitation applications is on a hemiplegic hand. In previous studies, some useful devices have been developed for hand rehabilitation. In this study, we suggest a new, low-cost and wearable robotic glove for hand rehabilitation. The specific component of this device is the spring and cable driven system proposed for transmission of motion and force. The device was tested on both unimpaired participants and patients with the hemiplegic hand, and it was proven to be beneficial for hand rehabilitation. As a result of trials with unimpaired participants, the muscle activation of the extensor digitorum and the flexor carpi radialis were increased by 184.1 and 197.8% respectively. The weight of the device was less than 400 g, thanks to 3D printed parts.
To analyze the literature characteristics of the clinical researches on tumor treatment with acupuncture-moxibustion in PubMed database so as to provide the references for the study of acupuncture-moxibusion in intervention of tumor.

The articles on the clinical researches of acupuncture-moxibusion in treatment of tumor were retrieved from PubMed database listed till December 31, 2018. Using bibliometric methodology, the analysis was conducted on publication year, publication journal, author, country or region, research institution, disease spectrum and therapeutic regimen.

A total of 143 articles are included. The publications are increased steadily since 2004. The articles are published in 64 international journals, of which,
(12 articles) and
(10 articles) occupy the the largest number of publications. They are distributed in 18 countries and regions, of which, the top two countries are America (44 articles) and China (34 articles. The involved types of cancer include breast cancer, prostate cancer, gastric cancer, etc. Acupuncture-moxibustion is mainly for complication and the comorbid disorders after treatment, such as pain, nausea and vomiting and fatigue at most. The regimen of acupuncture-moxibustion is determined by the symptoms and electroacupuncture is the main measure of treatment.

The literature of DOU 's acupuncture prescription was collected, sorted out and input, the database of DOU Han-qing's acupuncture prescription was established, the frequency of acupoints in the prescription was analyzed, and the Apriori algorithm was used to analyze the rule of acupoints in the prescription. A total of 446 DOU Han-qing's acupuncture prescriptions are included, and the maximum number of acupoints in acupuncture prescriptions is 12. The most common diseases are internal medicine syndrome, pain syndrome of head, face and body and five sense organs disease. In all the prescriptions of DOU Han-qing, 205 acupoints are used in total, including 25 extra-meridian points.
