Non-small-cell lung carcinoma (abbreviated as NSCLC) progresses rapidly and lacks appropriate biological markers. Recent studies have shown that long noncoding RNA metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT-1) has potential application value for clinically diagnosing lung carcinoma. Thus, this study conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis for assessing if MALAT-1 has a relationship to NSCLC outcome.

This study conducted the search of China National Knowledge Infrastructure, China Science and Technology Journal, SinoMed, EMBASE, Cochrane library, Web of Science, Wanfang database, and PubMed from inception to September, 1, 2021. The published article about MALAT-l expression for NSCLC patients was analyzed. We used combined hazard rates under the confidence interval of 95% for examining the relationship of MALAT-l and NSCLC.

In this meta-analysis, we found that 10 studies were included, and MALAT-1 expressions were distinctly related to an unfavorable overall survival (HR 2.34 (1.65, 3.33); I2 = 76%). Considering the merger's clinical heterogeneity, for meta-analysis, we used the random-effects method.

This empirical study is aimed at investigating the perceived effect of website trust on E-shopping intentions and behaviour, drawing upon the theory of planned behaviour (TPB). Data were collected through self-administered questionnaires from working adults who shop for garments online. Structural equation modelling was used to evaluate the model fit and assumptions. Our findings suggest that website trust and E-shopping attitude play substantial roles in building E-shopping intentions and actual behaviours. Both are the significant predictors of the behaviour mediated by E-shopping intentions. However, E-shopping intentions did not mediate between subjective norms and E-shopping behaviour, when working adults decide to purchase garments online.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of asymmetric hip dysplasia on the outcome of hip reconstruction in patients with cerebral palsy according to preoperative migration percentage (MP).

This study was institutional review board-approved for retrospective cohort review. From 2008 to 2018, 65 patients met inclusion criteria Gross Motor Function Scale Classification (GMFSC) III to V with spastic hips (MP > 30%) who underwent bilateral hip reconstruction, with a follow-up > 24 months. Main exclusion criteria children with associated syndromes or chromosomal disorders. The cohort was subdivided into three groups according to preoperative MP difference between hips Group A > 50%, group B 20% to 50% and Group C < 20%. Subsequently, the groups were analyzed individually and then compared. The asymmetry of extended abduction of the hip was also evaluated and separated into three groups no asymmetry (< 20° difference), mild asymmetry (20° to 50° difference) and severe (> 50° diffeg this goal immediately postoperatively is maintained to medium-term follow-up.

To determine and stratify femoral version in Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease (LCPD), and to compare the femoral version between the LCPD hip and the contralateral unaffected hip.

We performed a retrospective review of 45 patients with unilateral LCPD who had available CT scan through the hips and knees between January 2000 and June 2017. There were 34 (76%) male cases with a mean age of 14 years (sd 4.69). Two independent readers measured femoral version on the affected and the unaffected contralateral femur. Femoral version was classified as follows severely decreased version (< 10°); moderately decreased (10° to 14°); normal femoral version range (15° to 20°); moderately increased (21° to 25°); and severely increased version (> 25°).

LCPD hips had predominantly increased femoral version (38% severely increased anteversion, 24% moderately increased anteversion), while 51% of the contralateral unaffected hips had normal femoral version (p < 0.001). LCPD hips had higher mean femoral version than the contralateral, unaffected side (mean difference = 13
; 95% confidence iterval 10
to 16
; p < 0.001). As the version of the affected hip increased, so did the discrepancy between sides. No effect of sex on the LCPD femoral version was detected (p = 0.34).

This study included a selected group of patients with unilateral LCPD and available CT scans obtained for surgical planning. The femoral version was asymmetric, with a high proportion of excessive anteversion observed at later stages of disease in the affected hips. Future studies will be necessary to determine the pathogenesis of increased femoral version associated with LCPD.

Ultrasound has been used to diagnose hip dysplasia in neonates and to screen until the end of their first year. For older children, femoral head containment disorders such as developmental dysplasia of the hip, Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease or cerebral palsy are usually diagnosed with plain radiographs. The aim of the present study was to evaluate ultrasound in comparison with radiographic imaging in children up to age 12 years and to determine reference values for sonographic containment parameters.

Hip ultrasound and radiographic imaging were acquired on the same day and then compared. As a reference, normal acetabular angle and acetabulum head index were determined on radiographs. Lateral cartilage distance (LCD), lateral head distance (LHD) and femoral head extrusion angle (HA) were measured on ultrasound images.

We included 96 patients with 167 healthy hips in the study. A total of 55 patients were female and 41 male. The mean age was 5.2 years (sd 3.3; 1.0 to 11.9). LCD

The aim of this study was to retrospectively analyze the effect of the Sharrard procedure on hip instability in children with Down syndrome (DS), as measured by the migration index.

In total, 17 children (21 hips) were included from six hospitals in the Netherlands between 2003 and 2019. The primary outcome, hip instability, was assessed with the Reimers' migration index on preoperative and postoperative plain anteroposterior pelvic radiographs. The mean age at surgery was 8.1 years, the majority of children were male (64.7%) and the mean follow-up time was 7.3 years.

The mean preoperative migration index was 46% (sd 23.5) and the mean postoperative migration index was 37% (sd 28.4). The mean Delta migration index (the difference in pre-operative migration index and most recent post-operative migration index) showed an improvement of 9.3% (sd 22.7). An improvement in migration index was observed in 52%, no change in 29% and deterioration in 19% of hips. No (re)dislocations occurred in 91% of the hips. No major complications were observed during the follow-up period.

Early intervention is warranted in children with DS showing hip instability or hip migration, in order to succeed with less complex procedures. The Sharrard procedure should be considered in children with DS showing hip instability or hip migration, since it aims to rebalance the muscles of the hip joint, is less complex than bony procedures of the femur and acetabulum, surgery time is often shorter, there are fewer major complications and the rehabilitation period is shorter.

The modified Dunn procedure for slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE) remains controversial. We reviewed our series over ten years to report our learning curve, experience with intraoperative monitoring of femoral head perfusion and its correlation with postoperative Single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT-CT) bone scan and femoral head collapse in stable and unstable SCFE.

We retrospectively assessed 217 consecutive modified Dunn procedures performed between 2008 and 2018. In all, 178 had a minimum of one-year follow-up (mean 2.7 years (1 to 9.2)) including 107 stable and 71 unstable SCFE. Postoperative viability was assessed with a three-phase Tc99 bone scan and SPECT-CT. From 2011, femoral head perfusion monitoring was performed intraoperatively using a Codman Intracranial Pressure transducer and the capsulotomy was modified.

With intraoperative monitoring, the rate of non-viable femoral heads in stable SCFE decreased from 21.1% to 0% (p < 0.001). In unstable SCFE, the rate remained unchanged from 35.7% to 29.8% (p = 0.669). The positive predictive value (PPV) of pulsatile monitoring for no collapse was 100% in stable and 89.1% in unstable SCFE. Pulsatile monitoring and viable SPECT-CT bone scan gave a 100% PPV for all cases. A non-viable scan defines those hips at risk of collapse since 100% of stable and 68.2% of unstable hips with non-viable bone scans went on to collapse.

Our protocol enables safe performance of this complex procedure in stable SCFE with intraoperative monitoring being a reliable asset. The avascular necrosis rate for unstable SCFE remained unchanged and further research into its best management is required.

To evaluate the AOSpine Thoracolumbar Spine Injury Classification System and if it is reliable and reproducible when applied to the paediatric population globally.

A total of 12 paediatric orthopaedic surgeons were asked to review MRI and CT imaging of 25 paediatric patients with thoracolumbar spine traumatic injuries, in order to determine the classification of the lesions observed. The evaluators classified injuries into primary categories A, B and C. Interobserver reliability was assessed for the initial reading by Fleiss's kappa coefficient (k
) along with 95% confidence intervals (CI). For A and B type injuries, sub-classification was conducted including A0-A4 and B1-B2 subtypes. Interobserver reliability across subclasses was assessed using Krippendorff's alpha (α
