Furthermore, based on the above comparative studies, a red-fluorescence probe o-Phae has been constructed through extending 3,5-conjugation of o-Pha. The probe o-Phae displays rapid response (60 s), high sensitivity to triphosgene (LOD=0.88 nm), and high selectivity for triphosgene over relevant analytes including nitric oxide. Common behaviors included coughing, sneezing, and urinating, which respectively occurred during 88.1%, 65.4%, and 36.6% of excursions. These results show that many pathways exist by which pathogens might move from humans to chimpanzees in the context of tourism. Guidelines for minimizing the risk of such transmission should consider tourist behavior and the full range of modes by which pathogen transmission might occur between tourists and chimpanzees.

Lipid control represents a cornerstone in the management of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). Nevertheless, little research has explored the factors associated with poor lipid control in patients with dyslipidaemia.

The study aim was to investigate the variables associated with poor lipid control among patients with dyslipidaemia in Jordan.

In addition to socio-demographics, disease and medication-related variables, lipid profile including total cholesterol, LDL-C, HDL-C and triglyceride and other biomedical variables were collected for patients diagnosed with dyslipidaemia using hospital medical charts at three major outpatient clinics in Jordan. The validated 4-item medication adherence scale and the beliefs about medications questionnaire were used to evaluate medication adherence and medication beliefs among the study participants. The participants were classified to have controlled and uncontrolled dyslipidaemia using recent AHA guidelines. A stepwise forward conditional binary regresrammes aim at improving lipid control and health outcomes in patients with dyslipidaemia.
Lipid profile has considerable scope for improvement in patients with dyslipidaemia in Jordan. Improving medication adherence by emphasising on medication necessity and simplifying the prescribed dosage regimen, particularly in smoking patients and those who have ASCVD, should be particularly considered in future clinical pharmacy service programmes aim at improving lipid control and health outcomes in patients with dyslipidaemia.

Bones are the third most common site of metastasis, although bone metastasis (BM) incidence varies widely. This study investigated the incidence of BM in the most common cancers in Taiwan to present the recent treatment landscape in patients with organ-specific cancers.

Data from the National Health Insurance Research Database of Taiwan were used to identify adult patients diagnosed with organ-specific cancers between January 1, 2000 and December 31, 2015. Kaplan-Meier analysis was used to quantify cumulative BM incidence at follow-up. BM incidences associated with different cancers were calculated comprehensively and stratified by sex, age group and follow-up periods, and age- and sex-adjusted hazard ratios (HRs) of BM were calculated using multivariate Cox regression analysis.

Among 938776 participants (mean follow-up, 9.2years), liver (19.6%), colorectal (17.1%) and lung (15.1%) cancers were most commonly associated with BM. The mean interval between a primary cancer diagnosis and BM was 2years. BM incidence varied widely among cancers; lung cancer (3213 per 10
person-years) was associated with the highest BM risk, followed by oesophageal, prostate and breast cancer. HRs of BM were significantly higher for lung cancer (HR=8.1) than for other cancers.

The estimated BM incidence provided insight into oncological clinical practice trends in the Asia-Pacific region. BM incidence may vary among populations. Understanding the principles of clinical evaluation in patients with cancer of unknown primary origin can facilitate appropriate treatment recommendations.
