, we used a specimen bank of previously well-characterized specimens collected between April 2020 and March 2021. The Abbott anti-S assay showed the strongest qualitative relationship with a widely used laboratory-developed IgG assay for the SARS-CoV-2 receptor binding domain. Using the composite reference standard approach, we also showed that the Abbott anti-S assay was highly sensitive and specific. As new anti-SARS-CoV-2 assays are developed, it is important to compare their test characteristics against other assays that have been extensively used in prior research.Community testing is a crucial tool for the early identification of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection and transmission control. The emergence of the highly mutated Omicron variant (B.1.1.529) raised concerns about its primary site of replication, impacting sample collection and its detectability by rapid antigen tests. We tested the performance of the Panbio antigen rapid diagnostic test (Ag-RDT) using nasal and oral specimens for COVID-19 diagnosis in 192 symptomatic individuals, with quantitative reverse transcription-PCR (RT-qPCR) of nasopharyngeal samples as a control. Variant of concern (VOC) investigation was performed with the 4Plex SARS-CoV-2 screening kit. The SARS-CoV-2 positivity rate was 66.2%, with 99% of the positive samples showing an amplification profile consistent with that of the Omicron variant. Nasal Ag-RDT showed higher sensitivity (89%) than oral (12.6%) Ag-RDT. Our data showed good performance of the Ag-RDT in a pandemic scenario dominated by the Omicron VOC. Furthermore, our data also demonstrated that the Panbio COVID-19 antigen rapid diagnostic test does not provide good sensitivity with oral swabs for Omicron Ag-RDT detection. IMPORTANCE This study showed that the antigen rapid test for COVID19 worked fine using nasal swabs when it was utilized in patients infected with the Omicron variant, showing a concordance with PCR in 93% of patients tested. The nasal swab yielded more reliable results than the oral swab when an antigen rapid diagnosis test (the Panbio COVID-19 antigen rapid diagnostic test) was used in patients infected with the Omicron variant.Fusarium langsethiae is a suspected plant-pathogenic fungus causing cereal contamination with trichothecene mycotoxins. Here, we report the genome sequences of two F. langsethiae strains, MFG217701 (a prototroph) and MFG217702 (a biotin auxotroph), isolated from a grain of oat harvested in Russia. We present the draft genome sequence of Tenacibaculum ovolyticum isolate To-7Br, recovered from a gill of a farmed specimen of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) showing signs of tenacibaculosis. This study provides the first detailed insights into the genomic characteristics of T. ovolyticum isolated for the first time from fish farmed in Chile. We isolated a phage infecting a member of the Sphingomonadaceae family from a freshwater lake. The phage has a DNA genome of 41,771 bp, with a GC content of 61.7%. The genome harbors 50 predicted protein-coding genes and an auxiliary metabolic gene, which encodes a protein belonging to the radical S-adenosylmethionine superfamily.
While abundant cross-sectional studies have examined the relationship between stress and problematic internet use (PIU), little is known about the underlying mechanism through which stress influences the development of PIU. KRAS G12C inhibitor 19 clinical trial To elucidate the mechanism in facilitation of prevention and treatment of PIU, this study tested a moderated mediation model using a longitudinal design in which the impact of stressful life events on PIU was mediated by psychological capital (PsyCap); the dependence of this mediation link on participants' developmental stage was further evaluated.
A total of 1365 middle school and high school adolescents (M
= 14.68, SD = 1.56; 47% female) from central China were surveyed over 3 years.
PsyCap was found to completely mediate the contribution of stressful life events to PIU. In addition, the relationship between stressful life events and PsyCap was moderated by participants' school level, in which the negative impact of stress on PsyCap was stronger in middle schoolers than in high schoolers.
These findings support further examination of PsyCap in adolescents' PIU development, with a special focus on developmental changes from middle school to high school.

To characterize pain management in hospitalized children.
This is an observational, cross-sectional, retrospective and descriptive study of quantitative approach, carried out in a secondary hospital in the city of São Paulo, through analysis of 1,251 medical records of children admitted to the pediatric department. Data were tabulated and analyzed through descriptive statistics.
A total of 88.8% of children were assessed for pain with standardized instruments and 86% had analgesia prescribed. Among the assessments, 37.8% of the children had pain; of these, 26% had severe pain, greater in orthopedic conditions; 18.3% were not medicated, even with the presence of pain and prescribed analgesia; 4.3% had no analgesics prescribed; only 0.4% received non-pharmacological measures, and 40.3% had a report of reassessment. Professionals provided greater analgesia to children with surgical and orthopedic conditions compared to clinical conditions (p < 0.05).
Pain management in hospitalized children is ineffective, from initial assessments to reassessments after interventions, with prioritization of medication actions guided by professional judgment in the face of pain complaints.

To identify the associated factors of neonatal near miss among newborns of Brazilian adolescents and to compare their occurrence in young women aged 12 to 16 years and 17 to 19 years.
Cross-sectional, hospital-based study, using data from the study Nascer no Brasil ("Birth in Brazil") on puerperal adolescents and their newborns in all regions of Brazil. Multiple and univariate logistic regression were employed to identify the associated factors of neonatal near miss.
The following factors were found to be associated to neonatal near miss among newborns of adolescent mothers public source of payment (OR = 4.57, 95% CI = 2.02-10.32), having to seek help in different maternity hospitals (OR = 1.52; 95% CI = 1.05-2.20), and maternal near miss (OR = 5.92; 95% CI = 1.94-18.05), in addition to a record of low weight in a previous pregnancy (OR = 3.12; 95% CI = 1.61-6.04) and twin pregnancy (OR = 7.49; 95% CI = 3.28-16.82).
Neonatal near miss affected newborns of adolescent mothers in both age groups equally. Also, the determinant factors of neonatal near miss can be mostly reduced with qualified prenatal, labor, and birth care.

Neuroblastoma (NB) is an enigmatic childhood malignancy characterised by a wide range of clinical behaviour. Many potential oncogenes for NB have recently been identified. Among them, E2 transcription factor 3 (E2F3) expression was associated with a poor survival in 134 stage 4S patients, but evidence for other stage groups remains poorly investigated.
We have analysed the expression of E2F3 gene from a database of 786 NB samples. Overall and event-free survivals (EFS) were assessed by the Kaplan-Meier method, splitting the data on the median and tertile expression values. The Cox model was applied to control for the confounding by stage, age and MYCN amplification. Validation was performed by an in silico analysis of an independent cohort of 283 NB patients. Furthermore, an immunofluorescence analysis on 48 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded NB specimens was also performed.
E2F3 overexpression was associated with a poor survival (EFS=84%, 95% CI 79%-95%, for low expression levels; EFS=62%, 95% CI 56%-68% for middle levels; EFS=30%, 95% CI 24%-36%, for high levels, p<.001). This association was confirmed in multivariable analysis and was more evident in patients with MYCN not-amplified and localised stages. Immunofluorescence results and the validation on an independent cohort of NB primary samples confirmed these findings.
E2F3 is a new potential prognostic marker in NB with favourable characteristics at diagnosis. Further studies are needed to elucidate the potential role of E2F3 in NB oncogenesis and progression, in order to identify new targets for therapeutic interventions.

It is considered to be an important implant in anterior cervical discectomy and internal fixation. In this study, two types of unit cells were designed using topology optimization method and introduced to the interbody fusion cage to improve the biomechanical performances of the cage. Topology optimization under two typically loading conditions was first conducted to obtain two unit cells (O-unit cell and D-unit cell) with the same volume fraction. Porous structures were developed by stacking the obtained unit cells in space, respectively. Then, porous interbody fusion cages were obtained by the Boolean intersection between the global structural layout and the porous structures. Finite element models of cervical spine were created that C5-C6 segment was fused by the designed porous cages. The range of motion (ROM) of the cervical spine, the maximum stress on the cage and the bone graft, and the stress and displacement distributions of the cage were analyzed. The results showed the ROMs of C5-C6 segment in D-unit cell and O-unit cell models were range from 0.14° to 0.25° under different loading conditions; the cage composed of the D-unit cells had a more uniform stress distribution, smaller displacement on cage, a more reasonable internal stress transfer mode (transmission along struts of the unit cell), and higher stress on the internal bone graft (0.617 MPa). In conclusion, the optimized porous cage is a promising candidate for fusion surgery, which would avoid the cage subsidence, and promote the fusion of adjacent endplates.Over the last decades, extracellular vesicles (EVs) have been found to be implicated in a complex universal mechanism of communication between different cell types. EVs are nanostructures of lipid nature that have an exosomal or ectosomal biogenesis, responsible for the intercellular transport of proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, ions, among other molecules. The content of EVs can vary due to various factors such as hormonal stimuli, non-physiological conditions, metabolic state, etc. Once EVs reach their target cell, they can modulate processes such as gene expression, metabolism, response to external factors, and can even be associated with the delivery of molecules involved in epigenetic inheritance processes in germ cells. In mammalian reproduction, EVs have been shown to play an important role, either in vivo or in vitro, modulating a variety of processes in sperm, oocytes and embryos, and in their respective environments. Moreover, EVs represent a biodegradable, harmless and specific vehicle, which makes them attractive allies to consider when improving assisted reproductive technologies (ARTs).
