nal method. It was found that the use of the 3D VM was perceived positively by students. Gender had no significant impact on students' attitudes toward the teaching and feedback methods.Although previous meta-analytic evidence supports the existence of parochialism in cooperation among adults, the extent to which children and adolescents are more willing to incur a personal cost to benefit ingroups, compared to outgroups, is not yet clear. We provide the first meta-analysis on the existence and magnitude of parochialism in cooperation among pre-adults. Based on 20 experimental economics studies (k = 69, N = 5268, age = 3-19, 12 countries, published 2008-2019), a multilevel meta-analytic model revealed a small overall effect size indicating that children and adolescents were more cooperative towards ingroups (d = 0.22, 95% CI [0.07, 0.38]). A series of single-moderator analyses tested for the following conditions participant age and sex; game type ([mini-]dictator game, prisoner's dilemma, public goods dilemma, trust game, ultimatum game); outcome interdependence; membership manipulation (between- vs. within-subjects); group type (natural vs. experimental); reward type (monetary vs. non-monetary); and country of the participant. Parochial cooperation did not vary with participants' age. Parochialism was larger in non-interdependent (dictator-type) compared to interdependent (bargaining and social dilemma) games. There were no moderating effects of group type, membership manipulation or reward type. To provide more data on how parochialism develops, primary studies should report age ranges more precisely and use more restricted age groups.Hydrolethalus syndrome (HLS) is a rare lethal fetal malformation disorder related to ciliogenesis disruption. This condition is more frequent in Finland where a founder missense variant in the HYLS1 gene was identified. No other HYLS1 variant has hitherto been implicated in HLS. We report two unrelated French fetuses presenting with a phenotype of HLS with brain abnormalities, limbs malformations with pre and postaxial hexadactyly and abnormal genitalia. These two fetuses have compound heterozygous variants in HYLS1. The first allele carries the same Finnish missense variant (NM_145014.2 c.632A > G, p.[Asp211Gly]) in both fetuses and the second allele carries a new missense variant (c.662G > C, p.[Arg221Pro]) in the first fetus, and a new nonsense variant (c.613C > T, p.[Arg205*]) in the second fetus. This is the first report of HYLS1 mutated cases outside Finland. Both cases presented here are consistent with HLS with additional malformations, allowing expansion of the phenotypic presentation previously described.
To assess the impact of gestational age at term on the association between cerebroplacental ratio (CPR) and operative delivery for intrapartum fetal compromise (IFC) and prognostic performance of CPR to predict operative delivery for IFC.

This was a retrospective cohort study including 2052 singleton pregnancies delivered between 37
and 41
weeks of gestation in a single tertiary referral center over an 8-year period. CPR was measured within 1week of delivery. IFC was defined as the presence of persistent pathological cardiotocography pattern or the combination of pathological cardiotocography pattern and fetal scalp pH<7.20. Operative delivery included instrumental vaginal delivery and cesarean section. Pregnancies were grouped according to birthweight (small for gestational age [SGA, birthweight <10th centile] and appropriate for gestational age [AGA, birthweight 10th-90th centile]) and gestational age by week at delivery. Rates of operative delivery were compared between the subgroups. Prognosivery for IFC at term with advancing gestational age. Prognostic value of CPR throughout term was poor.
To examine the effects of the nurses' perceived stress and life satisfaction on their emotional eating behaviors.

A cross-sectional study was conducted among a random sample of 297 nurses in a research hospital.

There is a negative correlation between nurses' emotional eating and life satisfaction (β = -0.192, p < 0.001), and a positive correlation between emotional eating and perceived stress (β = 0.392, p < 0.001). Perceived stress, life satisfaction, and marital status constituted 24% of the factors affecting emotional eating behaviors.

The neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and red blood cell distribution width (RDW) at diagnosis have been shown to correlate with advanced disease and to be prognostic factors in many tumors. However, their role as a prognostic factor for cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) has not yet been studied.

Therefore, the aim of our study was to evaluate the correlation of NLR and RDW with stages of disease in patients with cSCC in order to define whether or not higher values of these two markers correlate with a more aggressive disease.

We retrospectively analyzed the NLR and RDW in a total of 51 newly diagnosed cSCC patients. NLR and RDW were calculated using data obtained from the complete blood count (CBC).

Median NLR among patients with the non-advanced disease (insitu and stage I) was 2.2, whereas median NLR for patients with advanced disease was 4.87. Median RDW among patients with early stage disease was 13.7%, while median RDW in patients with advanced disease was 15.81%. Statistical analysis showed positive associations of advanced cSCC stages with NLR or RDW higher than 3.07 or 14.5%, respectively.

Therefore, our analysis demonstrated how both NLR and RDW represent cheap and easily available factors that could be used as markers for advanced cSCC. They could help to identify patients with advanced stages disease that requires a strict follow-up.

We aimed to evaluate early-life epilepsy incidence, seizure types, severity, risk factors, and treatments among survivors of acute neonatal seizures.

Neonates with acute symptomatic seizures born 7/2015-3/2018 were prospectively enrolled at nine Neonatal Seizure Registry sites. One-hour EEG was recorded at age three months. Post-neonatal epilepsy and functional development (Warner Initial Developmental Evaluation of Adaptive and Functional Skills - WIDEA-FS) were assessed. Cox regression was used to assess epilepsy-free survival.

Among 282 infants, 37 (13%) had post-neonatal epilepsy by 24-months [median age of onset 7-months (IQR 3-14)]. Among those with post-neonatal epilepsy, 13/37 (35%) had infantile spasms and 12/37 (32%) had drug-resistant epilepsy. Most children with post-neonatal epilepsy had abnormal neurodevelopment at 24-months (WIDEA-FS >2SD below normal population mean for 81% of children with epilepsy vs 27% without epilepsy, RR 7.9, 95% CI 3.6-17.3). Infants with severely abnormal neonamily counseling, clinical follow-up planning, and future research to prevent post-neonatal epilepsy.
In this multicenter study, only 13% of infants with acute symptomatic neonatal seizures developed post-neonatal epilepsy by age 24-months. However, there was a high risk of severe neurodevelopmental impairment and drug-resistant seizures among children with post-neonatal epilepsy. Days of EEG-confirmed neonatal seizures was a potentially modifiable epilepsy risk factor. An EEG at three months was not clinically useful for predicting epilepsy. These practice changing findings have implications for family counseling, clinical follow-up planning, and future research to prevent post-neonatal epilepsy.Celiac disease is a multifactorial, inflammatory disorder initiated and sustained by the ingestion of gluten. Occurring across a broad population, the intestinal and extraintestinal manifestations of celiac disease are variable in severity and may be nonspecific in presentation. Given that environmental, genetic, and immune factors involved in the pathogenesis of celiac disease that the digestive tract and skin share many characteristics, and with a prevalence of 0.5-1% in most populations, it is reasonable to consider varying presentations of skin conditions that are linked with celiac disease. The association between celiac disease and skin conditions has been discussed earlier, but new studies have emerged suggesting cutaneous involvement in addition to dermatitis herpetiformis. We review the current literature identifying the relationship and potential mechanisms between celiac disease and various skin conditions.Seafarers are exposed to several physical and psychosocial stressors. Recent studies highlighted specific disorders as fatigue, boredom and diseases as depression. Seafarers are also commonly exposed to post-traumatic stress disorder (piracy, accidents, threats). Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) impacts seafarers with an estimated 400,000 of whom are stranded on vessels around the world, with extended time on board, repatriation's difficulties and the financial concerns of the unexpectedly unemployed. International Maritime Organization has established the Seafarer Crisis Action Team to help them. In France, in last 10 months a dedicated call centre received 142 calls from 32 seafarers for psychological phone consultations mostly linked to this era. With the increase of duration of the COVID-19 crisis, psychological health care, repatriations and financial solutions are needed for seafarers.
The purpose of this study is to determine the quality of life (QOL) of Turkish seafarers and its relationship with the factors affecting it.

A total of 103 Turkish seafarers completed an "Employee Assessment Form" and "WHOQOL-BREF" Scale.

The majority of the seafarers who participated in the study were males (98%) of the age group 36-48 (44%). Among the seamen, 58% smoked and 42% used alcohol. The rate of exercising was 29% and the mean body mass index was 27.63 ± 3.78. Average scores of WHOQOL-BREF sub-dimension are 15.99 ± 1.83 for physical (PHY), 15.77 ± 2.26 for psychological (PSY), 15.50 ± 2.73 for social (SOC), 14.17 ± 2.25 for environmental domain (ENV), and finally 14.18 ± 2.13 for ENV-TR.

According to the results of this study, it is possible to argue that Turkish seafarers have a weak awareness towards improving their health and QOL in their working life and that they need assistance in improving their QOL, especially in psychological and social aspects.

The aim of this study was to investigate whether workplace loneliness is related to life satisfaction of seafarers on board deep-sea going cargo ships and to determine whether there exist differences in experienced workplace loneliness and life satisfaction between officers and ratings.

A cross-sectional research design was used to assess the variables in a sample of 521 seafarers sailing on foreign going vessels.

The findings showed that workplace loneliness was an important dimension for determining life satisfaction. As for the differences in the experienced loneliness, the findings show that there is a difference between officers and ratings. The findings support the theory of need for belongingness, which emphasizes the importance of interpersonal relations at work in understanding the well-being among workers.

This study is of practical significance to ship owners and ship managers, where they can use the findings to implement interventions for improving the individual's life satisfaction.
