Spatial Variability inside COVID-19 Death.
Anaplastic large T-cell lymphoma (BI-ALCL) is a rare primitive lymphoma described in women with breast implant prostheses, which has been arousing interest in recent years due to its potentially high social impact. The difficult diagnosis associated with the high and increasing number of prosthetic implants worldwide has led to hypothesize an underestimation of the real impact of the disease among prosthesis-bearing women. The aim of this work is to search for specific radiological signs of disease linked to the chronic inflammatory pathogenetic mechanism.

This work describes a case of BI-ALCL in an American woman with no personal or family history of cancer, who underwent breast augmentation for esthetic purposes at our Institute. After about 10 years of relative well-being, the patient returned to our Institute with clear evidence of breast asymmetry due to the increase in volume of the right breast which had progressively become larger over a period of 6 months. There was no evidence of palpable axillamaterial hypointense in all sequences, free flowing or adhered to the external surface of the prosthesis.
A diagnosis of BI-ALCL can be reached using new radiological indicators, such as fibrin, which is clearly visible by MR in the form of nonvascularized debris of amorphous material hypointense in all sequences, free flowing or adhered to the external surface of the prosthesis.
Excessive ingestion of licorice can cause pseudohyperaldosteronism. A few case reports in the available literature have described significant hypokalemia secondary to licorice consumption with clinical manifestations of muscle weakness, paralysis, or severe hypertension. AMG232 To our knowledge, no report has discussed severe asymptomatic hypokalemia associated with licorice consumption.

A 79-year-old man presented to the urology clinic with a several-month history of urinary frequency and a weak stream. Routine laboratory investigations revealed serum potassium (K) level of 1.8 mmol/L, and he was immediately admitted to the nephrology department.

He was in a good state of health, and systemic and neurological examinations were unremarkable. However, laboratory investigations revealed severe hypokalemia and metabolic alkalosis accompanied with renal K wasting and hypertension, suggesting a state of mineralocorticoid excess. Hormonal studies revealed low serum renin and aldosterone but normal serum cortisol levels. Detailed history taking revealed that he had used licorice tea daily during the preceding 18 months.

The patient's serum K returned to normal levels after vigorous K replacement and discontinuation of licorice intake. He was also diagnosed with benign prostatic hyperplasia during hospitalization and was treated.

Chronic licorice ingestion can precipitate severe hypokalemia, although patients may remain asymptomatic. This case report indicates that the severity of a patient's clinical presentation depends on individual susceptibility, as well as the dose and duration of licorice intake.

The incidence of type 2 diabetes has been increasing year by year in recent years. Type 2 diabetes is an important risk factor in the occurrence and development of heart failure, and it is the second potential risk factor after coronary artery disease. At present, there is no unified etiology, pathogenesis, and syndrome differentiation criteria for type 2 diabetes with chronic heart failure, and it is susceptible to subjective factors. Therefore, standardized, objective, and standardized research is needed to provide reference and guidance for clinical diagnosis and treatment. In this study, the theory of syndrome differentiation is used to initially explore the distribution of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes in patients with type 2 diabetes and chronic heart failure through case data collection, syndrome extraction, and clinical data analysis.

In this study, we will collect at least 500 cases of type 2 diabetes with chronic heart failure that meet the standard outpatient and hospitalization, and fill out the case information collection form. Then we will collect a number of clinical diagnosis and treatment information, and judge the syndrome based on the sum of the contribution of each syndrome to the relevant syndrome. We will use Microsoft Excel to establish a database, enter the relevant diagnosis and treatment, and syndrome information of the case information collection table, and verify and correct in time to ensure the accuracy of the data.

This study will provide reference and guidance for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of type 2 diabetes with chronic heart failure.

Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a very tricky orthopedic disorder. If such condition cannot be managed fairly well, it may significantly affect quality of life and even leads to disability among such population. A variety of studies have reported that alendronate is utilized for the treatment of AS. However, their results are still contrary, and no systematic review has addressed on this topic. Thus, this study will systematically assess the efficacy and safety of alendronate for the treatment of patients with AS.

A comprehensive literature search will be performed from the below electronic databases from their commencement to the January 31, 2020 without language and publication status limitations PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Allied and Complementary Medicine Database, WANGFANG, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure. Only randomized controlled trials focusing on the alendronate for the treatment of patients with AS will be considered for inclusion in this study. Two authors will independently select all identified records, extract essential data from all included studies, and appraise study quality for each eligible trial using Cochrane risk of bias. If any differences occur, another experienced author will be invited to solve them by discussion and a consensus decision will be made. We will implement RevMan 5.3 software to analyze the extracted data.

This study will summarize high-quality randomized controlled trials to assess the efficacy and safety of alendronate for the treatment of patients with AS through primary outcome of bone densitometry; and secondary outcomes of pain intensity, quality of life, disease activity, functional status, and adverse events.

This study will provide evidence to help determine whether alendronate is an effective and safe management for patient with AS or not.
