The challenges of improving the integration of care for older people with complex care needs are well recognised. Evidence suggests that solutions should be co-designed with older people to ensure they are contextually relevant and person-centred.

As a first step in a co-design project to improve integrated care for older people, seven interviews and three workshops were held with older people and service providers. Data collected via recordings, notes and journey maps were inductively analysed.

Five themes were identified relationships and roles, patient capacity and safety, information and systems, multiway communication, and transitions and flow. This created a more holistic and person-centred picture of integrated care than typically derived from published literature.

Images and DNA sequences are two important methods for identifying fruit fly species. In addition, the identification of insect species complexes is highly problematic when attempting to utilize automatic identification methods in an actual environment. We integrated the image and DNA sequence identification methods into a single system for the first time and explored an open interactive multi-image comparison function for solving the problem of species complexes. The Automated Fruit Fly Identification System 1.0 (AFIS1.0) was updated to AFIS2.0 by employing different models and developing the system under a novel framework.

AFIS2.0 was developed using 83 species belonging to eight genera in the Tephritidae, which includes most pests of this family. The system applies the Mask Region Convolutional Neural Network (Mask R-CNN) and discriminative deep metric learning (AlexNet based) methods for image identification, integrates Blast+ for DNA sequence comparison and specific weighting for the fusion result. At the species level, the best classification success rate for wing images (as the Top 1 species in the species list of outcomes) reached 90%, and the average classification success rate for wing, thorax, and abdomen images (as the Top 5 species in the species list of outcomes) was 94%.

AFIS2.0 is more accurate and convenient than AFIS1.0 and can be beneficial for users with or without specific expertise regarding Tephritidae. Several treatments have been used to reduce inflammation and to reverse epithelial alterations in actinic cheilitis (AC).

A systematic review was conducted to analyze the potential of topical treatments for remission and clinical improvement of AC as well as patient acceptability.

A systematic review of clinical trials was conducted following the PICO strategy to answer the following question Are topical anti-inflammatory and antineoplastic agents effective in the treatment of actinic cheilitis? The quality of the studies was assessed by ROB-2, and the certainty of evidence was rated by GRADE guidelines.

Eight clinical trials were selected, including four that investigated the use of anti-inflammatory drugs and four use of antineoplastic agents. The use of 3% diclofenac sodium was associated with partial remission of AC, while 5% imiquimod and ingenol mebutate promoted complete remission. Furthermore, 5% fluorouracil was the drug most associated with complications during treatment. Diclofenac sodium (3%) and fludroxycortide showed the best acceptance by the patients, especially in terms of symptom relief and comfort provided.

However, mechanistic pathways for methane over-oxidation by copper-oxo active sites in these zeolites have not been previously described. Adequate understanding of methane over-oxidation is useful for developing systems with higher methanol yields and selectivities. Here, we use density functional theory (DFT) to examine methane over-oxidation by [Cu3 O3 ]2+ active sites in zeolite mordenite MOR. The methyl group formed after activation of a methane C-H bond can be stabilized at a μ-oxo atom of the active site. This μ-(O-CH3 ) intermediate can undergo sequential hydrogen atom abstractions till eventual formation of a copper-monocarbonyl species. Adsorbed formaldehyde, water and formates are also formed during this process. The overall mechanistic path is exothermic, and all intermediate steps are facile at 200 °C. Release of CO from the copper-monocarbonyl costs only 3.4 kcal/mol. Thus, for high methanol selectivities, the methyl group from the first hydrogen atom abstraction step must be stabilized away from copper-oxo active sites. Indeed, it must be quickly trapped at an unreactive site (short diffusion lengths) while avoiding copper-oxo species (large paths between active sites). This stabilization of the methyl group away from the active sites is central to the high methanol selectivities obtained with stepwise methane-to-methanol conversion.

To describe the sensory and physical-mechanical profile of commercial sunscreens through sensory and instrumental analyses related to principal component analysis (PCA).

Seven commercial sunscreens available on the Brazilian market and with a solar protection factor (SPF) of 30 were evaluated. Physical-mechanical profiling (rheological and textural analyses) was conducted by a trained panel, followed by sensory profile characterization and descriptive analysis. The results were assessed using the Spearman correlation coefficient and PCA.

The correlation or lack thereof of the instrumental parameters with most of the sensory aspects was demonstrated using the Spearman coefficient. PCA enabled us to identify the nature of the dissimilarities among the samples.

The obtained results highlight the importance of descriptive sensory analysis in the research and development of sunscreens, evidencing the significance of precisely informing the products' formulation in order to be chosen by the consumer.

Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) is a rare form of rapidly progressive neurodegenerative disorder. Seizures are uncommon in the early stage of CJD, increasing diagnostic difficulty.

An autopsy-proven case of CJD presenting initially as an epilepsia partialis continua is reported, in which the initial workup was unremarkable. Retrospectively, the presence of nystagmus, which proved to be non-epileptic, pointed to a cerebellar lesion before a diagnosis of clinically probable CJD was made.

A 70-year-old man presented with a 3-week history of intermittent rhythmic jerking tremors in his left limbs, interfering with his gait. Examination showed left body clonic movements. Electroencephalography revealed an ictal right centroparietal pattern of focal status epilepticus. Video-oculography revealed right-beating nystagmus (mean slow phase velocity [SPV] 3.4º/s) in the dark and left-beating nystagmus (SPV 2.6º/s) in the light, left-beating nystagmus after head shaking (SPV 4º/s) and during mastoid vibration (SPV s continua and that neuro-ophthalmological examination can be helpful in pointing to early asymmetric cerebellar involvement.Herein, we first design a fast low-pressure ultraviolet light irradiation strategy for easily regenerating the nearly equivalent surface vacancies. Taking the defective Bi2 O2 CO3 nanosheets as an example, nearly equal amount of oxygen vacancies can be regenerated under UV light irradiation. Synchrotron-radiation quasi in situ X-ray photoelectron spectra disclose the Bi sites in the O-defective Bi2 O2 CO3 nanosheets can act as the highly active sites, which not only help to activate CO2 molecules, but also contribute to stabilizing the rate-limiting COOH* intermediate. Also, in situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and in situ mass spectrometry unravel the UV light irradiation contributes to accelerating CO desorption process. As a result, the O-defective Bi2 O2 CO3 nanosheets achieve a stability up to 2640 h over 110 cycling tests and a high evolution rate of 275 μmol g-1  h-1 for visible-light-driven CO2 reduction to CO.
The substantial growth rate of skin cancer has necessitated adequate protection from solar radiation. Consequently, analyzing sun protection practices is an imperative research area in dermatology and pharmacology.

This paper aims to analyze public sun-protection manners in the Arabian Peninsula regions.

A simple random survey was conducted to assess public sun protection manners. Artificial neural network (ANN) and support vector machine (SVM) were selected from several machine learning algorithms to create the models for predicting public sun protection measures based on the prediction accuracy. Model performances were evaluated based on several performance indicators depending on the confusion matrices and receiver operating characteristic curves.

51% of the respondents have a low level, and 49% have a high level of sun protection practices. The results showed that the SVM performed considerably amended than the ANN for predicting the response. The relative importance of the predictors for the best predictive SVM model was also analyzed. The predictors are ranked as the number of times having sunburnt >gender > use seat belt while driving/riding a vehicle >considers the UV index for personal sun exposure >income based on the expenses >sports/exercise activities >consciousness of the chance for having sunburnt on extended exposure to the sun >age > having any skin problem >nationality > skin type.

These identified significant predictors might be considered for developing an effective policy to increase public consciousness using proper protection from solar radiation's detrimental effect to rule out skin diseases.
