fFeline injection-site sarcomas (FISSs) are mesenchymal tumors that can occur in cats after injections of different medical agents and are easily prone to recurrence.
The aims of this study were to report treatment outcomes for cats with feline injection-site sarcomas (FISSs) treated with both bleomycin and cisplatin, per adjuvant electrochemotherapy (ECT) protocol.
The medical records of cats with a diagnosis of FISS that were treated with ECT using both bleomycin and cisplatin were retrospectively evaluated. A total of 27 cats were available for statistical evaluation of their response. The cats received intravenous 20 mg/m2 bleomycin, and the tumor bed and margins were infiltrated with cisplatin at the dose of 0.5 mg/cm2. Then, the trains of permeabilizing biphasic electric pulses lasting 50 + 50 µseconds each were delivered in bursts of 1,300 V/cm using caliper electrodes under sedation. A second session was performed 2 weeks later.
Side effects were limited to local inflammation in three cats. Thacy, limited toxicity, and ease of administration.

A pDNA construct was used to restore the damaged superficial digital flexor tendon in the horse.

This correction could be accomplished by either acupuncture or acupressure, and are both collectively referred to as acutherapy. This form of therapy has been used in both humans and animals for several decades. It is, however, just gaining popularity in the treatment of humans and is still not yet in practice among veterinarians for animal patients in most developing countries like Nigeria. This review, therefore, is aimed at exposing veterinarians from the developing countries to the general application of acutherapy with emphasis on the musculoskeletal system and associated pain where it is most applied. India is a major contributor to the global burden of human papilloma virus (HPV) infection and associated diseases like cervical and oropharyngeal cancers. Hence, it is essential to recognize the existing knowledge pool of current healthcare students about HPV and its preventive measures to translate this into benefits for the society in the future.
To determine the awareness and knowledge among dental and medical undergraduate students regarding HPV and its diagnosis and prevention.
This cross-sectional study enrolled in 577 dental and undergraduate medical students from a tertiary-care teaching hospital. A questionnaire containing 20 closed-ended multiple-choice questions was used to assess their knowledge regarding HPV and its transmission, cervical cancer and its screening, as well as HPV vaccines and their attitude towards them. Descriptive statistics, Mann Whitney U test, and Chi square test were employed for statistical analysis. p ≤ 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
The study consisted of 52.68% dental and 47.31% medical students, with a mean age of 20.95 ± 1.82 years, MF ratio of 0.71, and a mean overall score of 10.75 ± 5.18 (average). The mean scores for knowledge about HPV, its vaccination, and its diagnosis were 7.98 ± 3.26 (good), 1.61 ± 0.95 (average), and 1.15 ± 1.16 (average), respectively. These scores showed no significant difference between the courses as well as the genders (p > 0.05).
Overall, the dental and medical undergraduate students presented an average level of knowledge and awareness regarding HPV and its prevention. This reflects a greater need for educating healthcare professionals in order to have a ripple effect on society at large.

Extensive research suggests that positive patient experience leads to improvement in patient health outcomes. Patient experience is particularly important in ambulatory care, where a patient builds a long-term relationship with a provider to manage his/her chronic illness over the span of years. Despite these known benefits, patient experience and its impact on health outcomes is poorly understood in low- and middle-income countries, where resources may be limited and primary care infrastructure spotty.
This paper aims to better characterize patient experience in a tertiary teaching hospital in Accra, Ghana.
Forty qualitative interviews were conducted in the Outpatient Medical Clinic at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Ghana. All interviews were transcribed and a qualitative analysis of central themes was evaluated by the study team.
We found patients eager to share their views on clinical care in an ambulatory clinic in Ghana's largest tertiary care center. Patients voiced desires for decreasing patient wait times, increasing wayfinding resources to navigate the clinic, creating appointment times, and implementing continuity of care with a single physician. The majority of patients also reported feeling actively engaged in their clinical care and emphasized their positive interpersonal interactions with providers.
These findings suggest that patients described positive interpersonal experiences with providers at this ambulatory clinic, but identified numerous operational changes that could be made to vastly improve patient experience.

In this review, we discuss the influence of SARS-CoV-2 on the urogenital system and the possibility of urinary tract transmission. In addition, several studies have revealed that COVID-19 has a higher incidence, severity and mortality in men than women. This disparity is due to biological rather than comorbid or behavioral sex differences. Because the male reproductive system is unique, the function of sex hormones in COVID-19 infection may explain the differences between males and females. Understanding these factors will provide appropriate prevention measures and adequate triage strategies and guide the drug discovery process.
