Similar lengths of the humerus imply Dineobellator and Deinonychus were of similar size, at least regarding length and/or height, although the more gracile nature of the humerus implies Dineobellator was a more lightly built predator. A new phylogenetic analysis recovers D. notohesperus as a dromaeosaurid outside other previously known and named clades. Theropod composition of the Naashoibito Member theropod fauna is like those found in the more northern Late Cretaceous North American ecosystems. Differences in tooth morphologies among recovered theropod teeth from the Naashoibito Member also implies D. notohesperus was not the only dromaeosaurid present in its environment.
Maternal health-seeking behaviours (MHSB) are crucial for maintaining maternal health and reducing the maternal mortality ratio (MMR). However, little is known about age-specific MHSB in African countries. This study aims to examine the association between composite indicators of maternal characteristics, household conditions, and socioeconomic factors with MHSB among women from different childbearing age groups in 10 African countries.

Based on the responses of 77 303 women and 68 391 households in 10 African countries to a nationally-representative round of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS6), we used age at childbearing to categorize women into groups according to their recent MHSB. In both pooled and age-specific analysis, multivariable logistic regression was applied to identify the predictors associated with MHSB. These factors were ranked with four sets of regression models.

This cross-sectional study found a prevalence of 27.69% (95% confidence interval (CI) = 26.93%-28.46%), 45.14% (9n of maternal health services by women of different childbearing ages in 10 African countries. Additionally, the heterogeneous results among different childbearing age groups suggest that age-specific programmes and national policies are crucial for improving MHSB, and thus reducing MMR in Africa.
Our study provided further information on the direct and indirect factors associated with the utilization of maternal health services by women of different childbearing ages in 10 African countries. Additionally, the heterogeneous results among different childbearing age groups suggest that age-specific programmes and national policies are crucial for improving MHSB, and thus reducing MMR in Africa. Objective The aim of this study was to develop an F-fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) radiomic model for predicting mediastinal lymph node metastasis (LNM) in presurgical patients with lung adenocarcinoma. Methods The study enrolled 320 patients with lung adenocarcinoma (288 internal and 32 external cases) and extracted 190 radiomic features using the LIFEx package. Optimal radiomic features to build a radiomic model were selected using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator algorithm. Logistic regression was used to build the clinical and complex (combined radiomic and clinical variables) models. Results Ten radiomic features were selected. In the training group, the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of the complex model was significantly higher than that of the radiomic and clinical models [0.924 (95% CI 0.887-0.961) vs. 0.863 (95% CI 0.814-0.912; p = 0.001) and 0.838 (95% CI 0.783-0.894; p = 0.000), respectively]. The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, and positive and negative predictive values of the radiomic model were 0.857, 0.790, 0.811, and 0.651 and 0.924, respectively, which were better than that of visual evaluation (0.539, 0.724, 0.667, and 0.472 and 0.775, respectively) and PET semiquantitative analyses (0.619, 0.732, 0.697, and 0.513 and 0.808, respectively). Conclusions 18F-FDG PET/CT radiomics showed good predictive performance for LNM and improved the N-stage accuracy of lung adenocarcinoma. Background Asymptomatic patients are unneglected sources in propagating transmission chain due to their high viral loads. However, treatments available based on symptoms seem not applicable to asymptomatic patients. In this study, the authors want to estimate the effectiveness of Lianhua Qingwen (LH) capsule on asymptomatic coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients. Methods A randomized controlled trial (RCT) was performed to explore the effectiveness and safety of LH capsule in treating asymptomatic COVID-19 patients. Patients were randomized to control group (isolated observation) and treatment group (LH, 4 capsules, thrice daily) for 14 days. The primary endpoints were the rate and time of nucleic acid turning negative during the isolation observation. PDS0330 Results A total of 120 participants were included in the full analysis set (60 each in the control and treatment groups). Data showed that the rate of nucleic acid turning negative during the isolation observation in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group (rate difference 21.66%, 95% confidence interval [CI] 4.34 to 37.27, p = 0.0142). Patients in the treatment group have a shorter time of nucleic acid turning negative (7.5 vs. 14.5 days, p = 0.018). Moreover, the rate of clinical symptoms appearance in the treatment group was lower compared with that in the control group (rate difference -31.67, 95% CI -46.83 to -13.82, p = 0.0005). The proportion of confirmed mild and common cases in the treatment group was also lower (35.00% vs. 66.67%, p = 0.0005). No serious adverse events were documented. Conclusions In this study, the authors illustrated that LH capsule is beneficial to asymptomatic COVID-19 patients. Considering the lack of interventions for treating asymptomatic COVID-19 patients at this stage, LH capsule could be considered as a choice. Chinese Clinical Trial Registry ChiCTR2100042066.Chromophobe renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a rare tumor. We described findings of 18F-FDG PET/CT and 68Ga-FAPI-04 PET/CT of metastatic chromophobe RCC in a 56-year-old woman. 68Ga-FAPI-04 PET/CT demonstrated that the metastatic lesions in the liver, left posterior abdominal wall, and the left waist had intense uptake of 68Ga-FAPI-04, which was higher than that of 18F-FDG on 18F-FDG PET/CT. 68Ga-FAPI-04 PET/CT also delineated the metastatic lesions more clearly than 18F-FDG PET/CT. This case highlights 68Ga-FAPI-04 PET/CT may be promising in restaging of chromophobe RCC.Prostate Ewing sarcoma is rare. We report the 18F-FDG PET/CT finding of a 16-year-old adolescent boy who presented with dysuria and was confirmed to be extraskeletal Ewing sarcoma of the prostate by histopathologic findings.A 52-year-old woman complained of upper respiratory symptoms and subsequently developed Wallenberg syndrome. Chest CT and brain MRI revealed multiple nodular lesions in the lungs and brain. She was pathologically diagnosed with low-grade lymphomatoid granulomatosis by lung biopsy. Brain PET examinations using 11C-methionine, 18F-FDG, and 18F-THK5351 were performed. Uptake of 11C-methionine and 18F-FDG was slightly increased in some lesions, likely reflecting the degree of inflammatory cell infiltration. 18F-THK5351 uptake was significantly increased in all lesions, likely reflecting the degree of reactive astrogliosis. This case illustrates the utility of PET studies for diagnosing lymphomatoid granulomatosis and provides insight into its pathophysiology.Early T-cell precursor ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) is a rare type of childhood and adult T-cell ALL. Disease recurrence is common within 2 years from the time of initial diagnosis. Outcomes of relapse have been characterized through risk stratification schemes, and one of the major determinants of overall survival is the overall tumor burden and sites of relapse. Although testicular recurrence is common; Peripheral nerve as a site of recurrence is relatively rare. We present a case of early T-cell ALL on maintenance therapy with multifocal relapse on FDG PET/CT in the cervical lymph nodes, the testis, and the left sciatic nerve. Bone marrow and flow cytometry confirmed the relapse. We report a 70-year-old man with central pontine myelinolysis who presented in the emergency department with recent onset altered sensorium and tremors (Glasgow Coma Scale score, 13). Laboratory findings revealed hyponatremia and hypokalemia. MRI brain was unremarkable. Subsequently, patient was referred for FDG PET/CT to rule out malignancy or paraneoplastic syndrome. FDG PET revealed focal radiotracer uptake in the pons without any underlying CT abnormality consistent with central pontine myelinolysis, thus aiding in early diagnosis where conventional imaging modality was unremarkable.
This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic efficacy of 18F-FDG PET/CT-assisted botulinum toxin (BTX) injection therapy and predictive PET findings in relation to a good response in patients with idiopathic cervical dystonia (ICD).

A total of 78 patients was enrolled from November 2007 to July 2018. The Toronto Western Spasmodic Torticollis Rating Scale (TWSTRS) score was determined at baseline and 4 weeks after BTX injection guided by electromyography and PET/CT. The number of hypermetabolic muscles, the highest SUVmax among hypermetabolic muscles, and the total SUVmax of hypermetabolic muscles were evaluated as pretreatment PET parameters. A good response was defined as a reduction rate ≥30% and a point decrease ≥15 of the TWSTRS total score.

Half of the subjects showed a good response. Good responders had significantly higher baseline TWSTRS scores than poor responders (total score, P < 0.001; severity, P < 0.001; disability, P < 0.001; pain, P = 0.026). Good responders also had significantly higher numbers of hypermetabolic muscles and BTX-injected hypermetabolic muscles (P < 0.001, both). In multivariable analysis, the baseline TWSTRS disability subscale score and the number of BTX-injected hypermetabolic muscles were significant predictors for good response (P = 0.001 and P = 0.028). The aforementioned 3 PET parameters were positively correlated with the baseline TWSTRS scores. In addition, PET/CT well detected dystonic deep cervical muscles.

FDG PET/CT-assisted BTX injection therapy showed good therapeutic efficacy in ICD patients. The numbers of hypermetabolic cervical muscles and BTX-injected hypermetabolic muscles may be helpful in predicting a good response.
FDG PET/CT-assisted BTX injection therapy showed good therapeutic efficacy in ICD patients. The numbers of hypermetabolic cervical muscles and BTX-injected hypermetabolic muscles may be helpful in predicting a good response.A 55-year-old man presented with chest tightness and lower-limb edema for 1 year. Laboratory and imaging examinations suggested cardiac amyloidosis. Both 18F-FDG and 68Ga-pentixafor PET/CT showed increased uptake in the myocardium of the left ventricle, whereas the bone marrow had diffusely mild uptake of 68Ga-pentixafor without bone destruction. 99mTc-MDP bone scintigraphy also detected extraosseous uptake in the heart, gut, kidneys, and soft tissue. The biopsy of the abdominal subcutaneous fat confirmed amyloid deposits, and the patient was finally diagnosed with primary systemic amyloidosis. This case demonstrated that cardiac amyloidosis might show increased 68Ga-pentixafor uptake in myocardium.
