This efficient convolutional neural network (eCNN) is built upon a combination of the SegNet architecture (a 13-layer encoder-decoder structure similar to the U-Net network) without softmax layers and the residual network. Moreover, maxpooling indices and high resolution features from the encoding network were incorporated into the corresponding decoding layers. A dataset containing 15 co-registered MRI-CT pairs of male pelvis (1861 two-dimensional images) were used for training and evaluation-based technique.
The proposed eCNN model exhibited efficient convergence rate with a low number of training subjects, while providing accurate synthetic CT images. The eCNN model outperformed the original U-Net model and showed superior performance to the atlas-based technique.

This study adopted a cross-sectional research design. Using convenience sampling, 78 community patients with schizophrenia were recruited from psychiatric outpatient clinics, day wards, and those who received home-care services.

Although no defined lesions were detected, mild endometrial gland dilation, assumed to be of no functional consequence, was observed in multiple samples. The purpose of this study was to explore adult women's unique and shared experiences of prodromal myocardial infarction fatigue.

Cancer-derived IgG was knocked down by siRNA or Tet-on shRNA in the absence or presence of cisplatin in WSU-HN6 or CAL27 cells. Cell proliferation, apoptosis, and mobility were evaluated using CCK-8, flow cytometry, and transwell assays, respectively. Molecular events were investigated using real-time PCR and Western blot assays.
