Therefore, fast growth rates and relevant structural roles are not necessarily associated with dense rhodolith assemblages, and ecological assessments of rhodolith beds should consider the dynamics of both individual nodules and the whole population.The paper presents the results of the evaluation of the selected active labour market policy measure "Contribution to the Graduate practice" in Slovakia. The measure is of a voluntary nature and its main aim is to prevent long-term unemployment among young people and to support a competitive ability of young school-leavers and thus their employability and sustainability in the labour market through the acquisition of work experience, professional skills and work habits. In the study, we analyse the selected characteristics of young jobseekers who participated in this measure in 2016 and their counterfactuals who did not participate. In addition to 2016, the observed period includes a subsequent 2 years - the individual impact period of the measure for each participant, i.e. the years 2017 and 2018. We evaluated the effects of the measure by applying the exact matching of treated and non-treated individuals using the outcome variables, namely wages and placement in the labour market in the impact period of the measure. The results indicate that the Graduate practice had a positive impact on the employability and sustainability of its participants, but rather in short-term or maximum long-term. Regarding the wage levels referring to the financial appraisal of the participants of the measure, the results suggest that non-treated individuals were better financially evaluated and so the Graduate practice did not guarantee better salary to its participants. The findings of the study are important in the setting of conditions of the measure for future periods in order to achieve its better functioning and efficiency in the way of proper targeting, more efficient use of funds, and for a system of their redistribution.Excess glucocorticoid secretion induces oxidative damage and muscle proteolysis and modulates glucose and lipid metabolism. The present study investigated the co-effects of CORT on proteolysis and mtROS production, together with glucose, fatty acid, and amino acid metabolism in HT-treated cells. Myoblast cells were isolated from the major pectoralis muscle of five 0- or 1-day-old neonatal chicks and were precultured at 37°C/CO2 conditions for 48 h to reach subconfluent (80%-90%) conditions. Cells were then reseeded onto a 6- or 24-well microplate for the subsequent measurement, followed by the culture under a control temperature (37°C, control) or HT (41°C) conditions for 1 or 6 h. The HT-treated cells were cocultured with physiologically relevant concentrations of CORT (20 ng/mL in dimethyl sulfoxide). On the centerline, macrosegregation in the axial direction of the tin was more obvious with the decrease of continuous casting speed. The small continuous casting rate was beneficial to the segregation and enrichment of tin. The axial segregation gradually decreased with the increase of the mold temperature. The flattening of the liquid-solid interface resulted in a weakening of the solute enrichment at the root of the interface with the increase of temperature. Morphology, electron backscattered diffraction (EBSD) analysis showed the structure of single crystal copper. The range of resistance of single crystal copper was from 5 × 10-6 to 3 × 10-5 Ω m. Obviously, the resistance of the single crystal copper was significantly smaller than that of ordinary copper wire (9.0 × 10-3 Ω m). This study provided a key theoretical and practical basis for the high value-added reuse of copper in e-waste.How the acetate and propionate accumulation impact anaerobic syntrophy during methane formation is not well understood. To investigate such effect, continuous acetate (35 g/L), propionate (11.25 g/L) and bicarbonate (30 g/L) supplementation were used during mesophilic anaerobic digestion. The high throughput sequencing (16S rRNA and mcrA), Real-Time quantitative PCR, and stable carbon isotope fingerprinting were applied to investigate the structure and activity of microbial community members. The results demonstrated that the abundance of syntrophic acetate oxidizing bacteria exhibited a gradual decrease coupled with heavier stable carbon isotopic signature of methane (δ 13CH4) in the three reagents impacted reactors. The increased acetate and propionate concentrations exerted negative influence on biogas production but the relatively stable hydrogenotrophic methanogens together with syntrophic acetate/propionate oxidizing bacteria kept the stable methane formation facing acetate and propionate accumulation. The functional genes copy number of the hydrogenotrophic Methanocellaceae and Methanomicrobiaceae correlated significantly with δ 13CH4 (R2 > 0.74), but only the abundance of Methanocellaceae fitted well with δ 13CH4 (p less then 0.05). The δ 13CH4 signatures can predict methanogenesis, as it directly reflects the main methanogenic pathway; yet, further investigation of isotope fractionation in acetate/propionate coupled with δ 13CH4 is needed.
