A new species of Setostephanolaimus Tchesunov, 1994, S. longiseta sp. nov. was discovered in an intertidal sand beach along the Rizhao coast of the Yellow Sea. It is characterized by its long and slender body, long cephalic setae (longer than 20 m and 16 m in males and females, respectively) and subcephalic setae, long spicules (longer than 90 m), gubernaculum with dorsal hooked apophyses, along with presence of 1012 tubular precloacal supplements in males. Updated dichotomous key for species of the genus Setostephanolaimus is also given.The description of an extinct species of Metaclisa Jacquelin du Val, 1861 (Tenebrionidae) is presented. This genus and the tribe Metaclisini are recorded as fossils for the first time, from Eocene Baltic amber. The new species Metaclisa ottoi sp. nov. belongs to the subgenus Trichometaclisa subgen. nov. and differs from all other Metaclisini in possessing short, fine recumbent setation on the pronotum and elytra; in addition, the prosternal process in Metaclisa ottoi sp. nov. is roundly bent down and weakly projected behind the procoxae, which differs from extant species.Elegia species deposited in the Hayk Mirzayans Insect Museum (HMIM) were examined and three species were identified. Elegia kharazii sp. nov. is described based on a single male and two females collected in Gilan and Golestan Provinces, Iran and compared with the externally similar European species E. similella (Zincken, 1818). Elegia saecula Kemal, Kzlda Kok, 2020 (syn. nov.) is considered as a junior synonym of Elegia iozona (Meyrick, 1937). Elegia atrifasciella Ragonot, 1887, collected in the north-west Iran (East Azarbaijan Province), is a new species for the fauna of Iran.N/A.Morphological characters, as presently applied to describe members of the Paguristes tortugae Schmitt, 1933 species complex, appear to be of limited value in inferring phylogenetic relationships within the genus, and may have similarly misinformed understanding of relationships between members of this complex and those presently assigned to the related genera Areopaguristes Rahayu McLaughlin, 2010 and Pseudopaguristes McLaughlin, 2002. Species of Phylladiorhynchus are mainly distinguishable by the number of epigastric spines and lateral spines of the carapace, the shape and the armature of the rostrum, the number and pattern of the ridges on the carapace and pleon, the shape of thoracic sternite 3 and the armature of the P24 dactyli. A dichotomous identification key to all species is provided.Based on field work mostly done in the late 20th century, a survey is given on the diversity and distribution of spring- and stream-dwelling water mites of the family Hygrobatidae in Italy. Five species, all representatives of the subgenus Atractides Koch, 1837 s. str., are described as new to science Atractides asinus sp. nov., A. castor sp. nov., A. cydonius sp. nov., A. dinisi sp. nov., and A. pollux sp. nov.. In summary, a total number of 66 hygrobatid species is now known from the area treated. Previous records of Atractides allgaier Gerecke, 2003 from Corsica and Sardinia, and of A. lunipes Lundblad, 1956 from Corsica, refer to A. castor sp. nov., resp. A. corsicus E. Angelier, 1954. Redescriptions are given for seven remarkable and/or incompletely documented species Atractides asticae, A. fluviatilis, A. graecus, A. inflatipalpis K. Viets, 1950, A. lunipes, A. protendens K.O. Viets, 1955, and A. remotus. Problems concerning diagnostic features are discussed for several species. Atractides fluviatilis, A. valencianus K. Viets, 1930 and A. inflatipalpis, along with two species not recorded from Italy, namely A. algeriensis (Lundblad, 1942) and A. stancovici Pei Gerecke, 2010, are summed up in a fluviatilis species group. Within this clade, several species tend to grade into each other morphologically, and females cannot be classified with certainty.The recent paper by Bariche Fricke (2020) presents an updated checklist of the marine fish species in Lebanon including 367 fish species, 70 non-indigenous and 28 new records. According to Bariche Fricke (2020), the inventory is based on the published scientific papers related to the marine fishes in Lebanon, since Gruvel (1928, 1931), as well as grey literature, images published in newspapers or on local websites and social media. However, important scientific papers and published reports, providing important data on marine fishes in Lebanon, were missed. Hereby we cite twelve scientific papers [Nafpaktitis (1963), Bath (1977), Shiber (1981), Moosleitner (1988), Lakkis et al. (1996), Bariche (2006), Bariche et al. (2006); Bitar et al. In this context and based on the Lebanese literature, Bariche Fricke (2020) missed the reports of 9 species (Table 1). Therefore, the list of marine fish of Lebanon (Bariche Fricke, 2020) is enriched reaching 376 species, 71 of which are non-indigenous species (See suppl.file 1). In agreement with Zenetos Galanidi (2020) we state that even the current update may contain errors, as species invasions are dynamic phenomena, where new information continually comes to light, whether from new observations or from re-examination of older material, changes in nomenclature and phylogenetic studies.
