To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of iguratimod (IGU) for reducing panel reactive antibody (PRA) in high-mismatched renal transplant recipients.

Eligible recipients positive for PRAs who received or did not receive IGU treatment were enrolled. We retrospectively reviewed, collected, and analyzed statistically the clinical data of the recipients.

A total of 80 recipients were included for further analysis. After IGU was administered for 9months, no significant difference was found in the change rates of donor specific antibodies between two groups. To explore the experiences of female registered nurses (RNs), who encounter workplace gender discrimination in nursing.

This study used a qualitative exploratory design informed by feminist perspectives and was underpinned by social constructionism.

Women who were RNs (N=10) and employed in New South Wales (NSW) were purposively selected to convey their experiences of workplace gender discrimination. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, between April and July 2020. Analysis was guided by the work of Anderson and Jack (Women's words; 1991) who recommend three ways of listening. Interviews were transcribed verbatim and Braun and Clarke's (Qualitative Research in Psychology, 3, 77-101; 2006) six-step guide was used to develop themes.

To establish and validate an optimal predictive model based on multiparametric MRI for staging liver fibrosis (LF) in rabbits with magnetic resonance elastography (MRE), spin-lattice relaxation time in the rotating frame (T1ρ imaging), SWI, intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM), and DCE-MRI.

The LF group included 120 rabbits induced by subcutaneous injections of carbon tetrachloride (CCl
); 30 normal rabbits served as the control group. Multiparametric MRI was performed, including MRE, T1ρ, SWI, IVIM, and DCE-MRI. The quantitative parameters were analyzed in two groups, with histopathological results serving as the reference standard. The diagnostic performance of multiparametric MRI and the predictive model established by multivariable logistic regression analysis were evaluated by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis.

Two neural networks (one for frequency and one for phase) were trained and validated using published simulated and in vivo MEGA-PRESS MRS dataset with wide-range artificial frequency and phase offsets applied. The CNN-based approach was subsequently tested and compared to the current deep learning solution multilayer perceptrons (MLP). Furthermore, random noise was added to the original simulated dataset to further investigate the model performance at varied signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) levels (i.e., 10, 5, and 2.5). Additional frequency and phase offsets (i.e., small, moderate, large) were also applied to the in vivo dataset, and the CNN model was compared to the conventional approach SR and model-based SR implementation (mSR).

The CNN model is more robust to noise compared to the MLP-based approach due to having smaller mean absolute errors in both frequency (0.01 ± 0.01 Hz at SNR = 10 and 0.01 ± 0.02 Hz at SNR = 2.5) and phase (0.12 ± 0.09° at SNR = 10 and -0.07 ± 0.44° at SNR = 2.5) offset prediction. Furthermore, better performance was demonstrated for FPC when compared to the MLP-based approach, and SR when applied to the in vivo dataset for both with and without additional offsets.

To demonstrate, through numerical simulations, novel designs of spatially selective radiofrequency (RF) excitations of the fetal brain by both a restricted 2D slice and 3D inner-volume selection. These designs exploit a single-channel RF pulse, conventional gradient fields, and the spatially non-linear ΔB
fields of a multi-coil shim array, using an auto-differentiation optimization algorithm.

The design algorithm jointly optimizes the RF pulse and the time-varying ΔB
fields, which is produced by a 64-channel multi-coil ΔB
body array to augment the RF and the linear gradient fields, using an auto-differentiation approach. Two design targets were specified, one a 4-mm thick slice with a limited in-slice extent in one dimension ("restricted slice"), and the other a 3D inner-volume selection encompassing the fetal brain ("inner volume"). The RF duration was limited to 2ms for the restricted slice excitation and 6ms for the inner-volume excitation.

Excitation profiles were achieved for both the restricted slice excitation task (one-minus-minimum magnitude, 8%) within the region of interest (ROI) and (maximum-minus-zero magnitude, 8%) in the suppressed regions and the fetal brain volume excitation task (13% and 9%, respectively).
