All occurrence records of 18 mammal species with georeferencing have been published in GBIF.The subgenus Mayria of the genus Camponotus (Hymenoptera Formicidae) is revised. The subgenus is endemic to Madagascar where it occupies a broad range of habitats, from deciduous and dry forest to rainforest. A taxonomic review is provided of this subgenus, integrating multiples lines of evidence including qualitative morphology and quantitative morphometry. Species hypotheses are formed by Nest Centroid clustering. In total, 36 species are treated, of which eleven are newly described Camponotusandrianjaka sp. nov., Camponotusantsaraingy sp. nov., Camponotuschrislaini sp. nov., Camponotusclaveri sp. nov., Camponotusivadia sp. nov., Camponotusjjacquia sp. nov., Camponotusmaintilany sp. nov., Camponotusnorvigi sp. nov., Camponotusihazofotsy sp. nov., Camponotustsimelahy sp. nov., Camponotuszoro sp. nov. Five species are redescribed. Camponotusthemistocles Forel stat. nov., is raised to species. In addition, the subgenus is redefined to include 39 species. Twenty-two previously described species are transferred to this subgenus and thirteen species previously placed in the subgenus are transferred out of the subgenus. Nine morphologically consistent species groups are delineated to facilitate species identification within the subgenus. This revision includes a classification, a key to species groups, and an updated key to species based on the minor worker caste.The species of the genus Cacodaemon of Vietnam are revised. A new species, Cacodaemonvietnamensis sp. nov., is described and C.laotinuslaotinus (Arrow, 1920) is newly recorded from Vietnam. A previously known species, C.proavus Strohecker, 1964 is redescribed based on an additional female specimen and a key to species of the genus Cacodaemon in Vietnam is provided.Rhodeuscyanorostris Li, Liao & Arai, 2020 is a freshwater fish that is endemic to China and restricted to Chengdu City in Sichuan Province. This study is the first to sequence and characterize the complete mitochondrial genome of R.cyanorostris. The mitogenome of R.cyanorostris is 16580 bp in length, including 13 protein-coding genes, two rRNA genes, 22 tRNA genes, and a control region (D-loop). The base composition of the sequence is 28.5% A, 27.6% C, 26.4% T, and 17.5% G, with a bias toward A+T. The genome structure, nucleotide composition, and codon usage of the mitogenome of R.cyanorostris are consistent with those of other species of Rhodeus. To verify the molecular phylogeny of the genus Rhodeus, we provide new insights to better understand the taxonomic status of R.cyanorostris. The phylogenetic trees present four major clades based on 19 mitogenomic sequences from 16 Rhodeus species. Rhodeuscyanorostris exhibits the closest phylogenetic relationship with R.pseudosericeus, R.amarus, and R.sericeus. This study discloses the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of R.cyanorostris for the first time and provides the most comprehensive phylogenetic reconstruction of the genus Rhodeus based on whole mitochondrial genome sequences. The information obtained in this study will provide new insights for conservation, phylogenetic analysis, and evolutionary biology research.Two new species of the genus Chilobrachys Karsh, 1892 are described from China Chilobrachysdominus Lin & Li, sp. nov. from Yunnan and C.jinchengi Lin & Li, sp. nov. from Tibet. Photos and a morphological description of the new species are given. A key to the adult males of Heteroconis from China is provided.We present the results of herpetological surveys in two adjacent mountains where the EcoMinga Foundation protects the cloud forest in the Upper Rio Pastaza watershed, in the Llanganates Sangay Ecological Corridor in Ecuador. A rapid assessment of the amphibian communities of the study sites reveals a diverse and heterogeneous composition, dominated by terrestrial frogs from the genus Pristimantis. We also identify a cryptic diversity with a significant number of candidate new species. We describe two new species of terrestrial frogs of the genus Pristimantis. Pristimantismaryanneae sp. nov. is characterised by not having tympanum externally visible and having 2-3 subconical tubercles in the upper eyelid; and Pristimantisburtoniorum sp. nov. is characterised by the presence of red colouration in hidden surfaces of the hind-limbs, tubercles on the upper eyelid, interorbital tubercle and a row of rounded tubercles along the snout to the tip and a pale red venter with dark brown mottled pattern. Our samples from the two Reserves do not share species between them, so the proportion of shared species seems to be relatively low. In addition, we highlight the importance of updating the knowledge of amphibians that are restricted to this important conservation region and comment about the threats and composition of the amphibian communities on the eastern slopes of the Upper Rio Pastaza watershed.Substantial molecular and morphological character differences lead us to the description of a new species of the genus Pristimantis from the cloud forest of Cerro Chucantí, Maje Mountains, Darien Province, as well as from several other mountain ranges in eastern and central Panama. Pristimantisgretathunbergae sp. nov. is a sister species to the allopatric P.erythropleura-penelopus group from northern Colombia with a mtDNA sequence divergence of > 4.4% at 16S and > 14.6% at COI. Its closest congener in sympatry is P.cruentus that differs by a large sequence divergence of > 9.6% in 16S mtDNA and 19.0% at COI, and from which it differs also by ventral and groin coloration, unusually prominent black eyes, a contrasting light upper lip, commonly a single conical to spine-like tubercle on the upper eyelid, and a larger head. While the habitat continuity at most sites in eastern Panama is moderate, habitats in central Panama are severely fragmented. Cerro Chucantí and the surrounding Maje Mountains are highly threatened by rapid deforestation and replaced by plantations and cattle pastures. Thus, investigations on the ecology of the new species and its population status, especially at the type locality, are highly recommended. As a flagship species, this new frog can help to preserve the Chucantí cloud forest including several recently described species known only from this isolated area in eastern Panama.
Non-spontaneous vaginal delivery, such as cesarean delivery and operative vaginal deliveries, provides births other than regular vaginal pregnancy. In taking effective steps to minimize the caesarean section rate and the issues associated with it, it would be useful to examine the determinants of instrumental deliveries and their key indications. Therefore, this study aimed to determine magnitude and related factors of non-spontaneous vaginal delivery.

Facility-based analytical cross-sectional study design was used. A total sample size of 383 was used. learn more All mothers who gave birth during data collection period and fulfill inclusion criteria were included in the study. Interviewer-administered data collection method was used. Data were entered in Epi-data and exported to SPSS to analyze both descriptive and advanced analysis.

About 24.4% of mothers' mode of delivery was non-spontaneous vaginal delivery. Those mothers whose occupation was housewives were 2.8 times more likely to give birth through non-spont sex in order to minimize risks of non-spontaneous delivery.
Magnitude of non-spontaneous vaginal delivery was high in this study. Being a housewife, having complications during pregnancy, nullipara and primipara, macrosomic fetus and male neonate were associated with outcome variable. Attention should be given for the housewives, experiencing complication during pregnancy, a fetus with big weight and male neonatal sex in order to minimize risks of non-spontaneous delivery.
The quantitative sleep EEG has been considered as electroencephalographic "fingerprint", ie, it is stable within but differs between individuals. So far, however, almost all studies addressing this aspect have been conducted in young men. It was therefore of interest to know whether the sleep EEG fingerprint concept holds true in older samples of both sexes.

Data from three different subsamples of 30 healthy individuals each were reused for the present secondary analysis (young men (YM) = 25.6 ± 2.4 years, elderly men (EM) = 69.1 ± 5.5 years, elderly women (EW) = 67.8 ± 5.7 years). Individuals slept ten times in the sleep laboratory, resulting in a total of 900 study nights. However, to avoid misinterpretation due to intervention-related changes in sleep EEG power spectra, only the 3 sham nights without any intervention were included, reducing the datasets to 270. The second wave of COVID-19 greatly affected the health care and education systems in Uganda, due to the infection itself and the lockdowns instituted. Double masking has been suggested as a safe alternative to double-layered masks, where the quality of the latter may not be guaranteed. This study aimed to determine patterns of double mask use among undergraduate medical students at Makerere University, Uganda.

We conducted a descriptive cross-sectional study using an online questionnaire. All students enrolled at the College of Health Sciences; Makerere University received the link to this questionnaire to participate. Logistic regression analysis was used to assess factors associated with double mask use.

A total of 348 participants were enrolled. The majority (61.8%) were male; the median age was 23 (range 32) years. Up to 10.3%, 42%, and 4.3% reported past COVID-19 positive test, history of COVID-19 symptoms, and having comorbidities, respectively. Up to 40.8% had been vaccinated against COVID-19. Mfour-layered masks in Uganda and increased exposure in lecture rooms and clinical rotations, medical students may be at risk of contracting COVID-19.
