The behaviour of individual users in an online social network is a major contributing factor in determining the outcome of multiple network phenomenon. Group formation, growth of the network, information propagation, and rumour blocking are some of the many network behavioural traits that are influenced by the interaction patterns of the users in the network. Network motifs capture one such interaction pattern between users in online social networks (OSNs). For this work, four second-order (two-edged) network motifs have been considered, namely, message receiving pattern, message broadcasting pattern, message passing pattern, and reciprocal message pattern, to analyse user behaviour in online social networks. This work provides and utilizes a node interaction pattern-finding algorithm to identify the frequency of aforementioned second-order network motifs in six real-life online social networks (Facebook, GPlus, GNU, Twitter, Enron Email, and Wiki-vote). The frequency of network motifs participated in by a node is considered for the relative ranking of all nodes in the online social networks. The highest-rated nodes are considered seeds for information propagation. The performance of using network motifs for ranking nodes as seeds for information propagation is validated using statistical metrics Z-score, concentration, and significance profile and compared with baseline ranking methods in-degree centrality, out-degree centrality, closeness centrality, and PageRank. The comparative study shows the performance of centrality measures to be similar or better than second-order network motifs as seed nodes in information diffusion. The experimental results on finding frequencies and importance of different interaction patterns provide insights on the significance and representation of each such interaction pattern and how it varies from network to network. Many states now mandate early screening for dyslexia, but vary in how they address these mandates. There is confusion about the nature of screening versus diagnostic assessments, risk versus diagnosis, concurrent versus predictive validity, and inattention to indices of classification accuracy as the basis for determining risk. To help define what constitutes a screening assessment, we summarize efforts to develop short (3-5 min), teacher-administered screens that used multivariate strategies for variable selection, item response theory to select items that are most discriminating at a threshold for predicting risk, and statistical decision theory. These methods optimize prediction and lower the burden on teachers by reducing the number of items needed to evaluate risk. A specific goal of these efforts was to minimize decision errors that would result in the failure to identify a child as at risk of dyslexia/reading problems (false negatives) despite the inevitable increase in identifications of children who eventually perform in the typical range (false positives). Five screens, developed for different periods during kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2, predicted outcomes measured later in the same school year (Grade 2) or in the subsequent year (Grade 1). The results of this approach to development are applicable to other screening methods, especially those that attempt to predict those children at risk of dyslexia prior to the onset of reading instruction. Without reliable and valid early predictive screening measures that reduce the burden on teachers, early intervention and prevention of dyslexia and related reading problems will be difficult.During the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination, the issue of consent was widely commented upon. Many confusions arose between the withdrawal period, the obligation to collect written consent and many other more or less fanciful concepts. Informed consent is one of the founding stones of health democracy. It deserves to be understood in order to be intelligently applied. This paper deals with an important subject in classification problems addressed by machine learning techniques the evaluation of the influence of each of the features on the classification of individuals. Specifically, a measure of that influence is introduced using the Shapley value of cooperative games. In addition, an axiomatic characterisation of the proposed measure is provided based on properties of efficiency and balanced contributions. Furthermore, some experiments have been designed in order to validate the appropriate performance of such measure. Finally, the methodology introduced is applied to a sample of COVID-19 patients to study the influence of certain demographic or risk factors on various events of interest related to the evolution of the disease.COVID-19 pandemic asks the engagement of all experts in different medical fields to help in solving consequences such an overwhelming success that we follow it with COVID-19 Management, including Medical Informatics experts.
The use of computer assisted surgery, navigation (NAV) in shoulder arthroplasty is still under discussion, regarding the clinical outcome and prosthesis longevity, especially when combining these factors with cost, time and surgeon's experience. Beside the NAV, there has been in use patient-specific instrumentation (PSI) as an additional tool for more precise glenoid implant position. Surgical NAV and PSI for glenoid implant positioning in anatomic and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty are in last years under observation and discussion.

To critically review and evaluate the current literature regarding the use of computer navigation and PSI in shoulder arthroplasty.

Critical review of the existing literature.

Cost-effectiveness, prosthesis longevity and revision arthroplasty rate have not yet been proven clinically. Moreover, heterogeneity is high in studies that include different positioning systems (NAV, PSI and standard instrumentation). Heterogeneity is due to differences in surgical technique, implants, surgeon's expertise, radiographic image analysis technique.

The use of navigation systems and PSI should be clinically proven in the shoulder arthroplasty. Independent experts' opinion and independent high level studies lack at the moment. There will be still a lot of talk regarding this topic in future.

Dentine hypersensitivity (DH) is a frequent clinical problem that represents a long-term painful discomfort for the patients, and for the dentists, it represents a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge.

The aim of the research is to verify the effect of the treatment with diode laser SiroLaser Blue (660nm) of DH alone or in combination with different impregnating agents.

Fifty patients were included in this research, separated into five groups. All the patients have been asked to define the level of dentine hypersensitivity using VAS (0-10). The first group was treated with Fluor Protector, the second group after the application of Fluor Protector has undergone irradiation with SiroLaser Blue (660nm), the third group was treated with impregnating agent Vivasens, the fourth group, after the application of impregnating agent Vivasens, has had SiroLaser Blue (660nm) irradiation. The fifth group has just been treated with SiroLaser Blue (660nm). The efficiency of the treatment was checked using VAS for every group immediately after the conducted treatment, after 7 days and 1 month.

Our results showed that all of the desensitizing agents used in the research alone or in combination with a diode laser (660nm) have shown a reduction of DH. The difference has been proven statistically significant in mean values by groups and examinations. Vivasens and diode laser irradiation have provided the best results in the review of mean values after the first examination and one month after the treatment of DH (p<0,05). In our research, the application of diode laser alone has not proven superior to other treatment methods that have been used in the research.

Vivasens plus diode laser irradiation has provided the best results even after one month since the treatment of DH.

Hyperopia is a kind of refractive error in which incoming light is focused behind, instead of on, the retina wall due to insufficient accommodation by the lens. It is likely affected by ethnicity, geography, and a family history of hyperopia or accommodative esotropia and is categorized as low (≤ 2.00D), moderate (2.00-4.00 D), and high (> 4.00D). Beyond hyperopia refractive error, patients may have poor accommodative function or visual perceptual skills.

This study aimed to present the latest approaches to planning trifocal intraocular lens (IOL) and toric trifocal IOL implantation for residual refractive errors in young adults with high astigmatism and hyperopia and increase the patients' best visual outcome and satisfaction using Small Incision Lenticule Extraction (SMILE) after implantation.

Eighty eyes of 40 consecutive patients who underwent refractive lensectomy were included in this retrospective study. It included patients aged 20-45 years seeking spectacle independence with pre-operative hiresults in visual acuity; however, patients were dissatisfied after implantation. This study reported patient satisfaction levels, including quality of life and life without glasses by using Small Incision Lenticule Extraction (SMILE) surgery.

EMVI is a direct invasion of a vein by a tumor. As a predictor of hematogenous metastasis, it is a poor prognostic factor in rectal cancer and can be accurately identified on MRI prior to surgical procedure.

To evaluate the role of contrast-enhanced T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (CET1WI) in addition to high-resolution T2-weighted imaging (HRT2WI) in assessing extramural venous invasion (EMVI) of rectal cancer.

In all 195 patients with rectal cancer, HRT2WI and CET1WI sequences were produced within pre-operative MRI for the purpose of assessing for the presence of EMVI (mrEMVI). CET1WI sequences were produced following administration of Gadolinium contrast medium. mrEMVI assessment results were classified into two groups. Group A consisted of mrEMVI assessment results obtained using HRT2WI sequences only. Group B consisted of mrEMVI assessment results obtained using a combination of HRT2WI + CET1WI sequences. Results obtained for each group (A and B) were correlated with a histopathological findl venous invasion (EMVI) of rectal cancer.
Rat Sarcoma (RAS) protein encoded Guanosine Triphosphate (GTP-ase) activity, known as a switch of cell proliferation. The mutation of this protein alters the early stage of carcinogenesis and along with the interaction with other oncogene drivers and environmental factors affect the clinical characteristics and prognosis in cancer patients, particularly lung cancer.

This study aims to determine the Kristen Rat Sarcoma (KRAS) mutation in lung cancer patients in North Sumatera and evaluate factors that might contribute in the development of lung cancer in the absence of KRAS mutation.

This was a retrospective cohort study enrolled 44 subjects age > 18 year with the diagnosis of lung cancer. Histopathology preparation was obtained from surgery, bronchoscopy, and percutaneus needle biopsy then formed as paraffin-block. KRAS mutation was analyzed using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method with specific primer of exon 2 for evaluating the expression of RAS protein then continued with Sanger Sequencing Method at 12th and 13th codon.
