Resident aesthetic clinic websites are an important tool in recruiting patients as well as medical students. Addressing the lack and quality of such websites may improve recruitment of patients and students to plastic and reconstructive surgery residency programs. As a primary source of information for potential future residents and patients, plastic and reconstructive surgery programs need to maximize the content and utility of their websites.
Unreliable and ingenuine results issued by clinical laboratories have serious consequences for the patients. Sigma metrics is a standardized tool for Quality assessment for test performance in a laboratory.

To evaluate the performance of routine biochemistry laboratory at MMIMSR, Mullana in terms of Sigma metrics and Quality Goal Index.

This cross sectional study evaluated performance of 14 routine chemistry parameters using retrospective Internal Quality Control data of two levels on Siemens Dimension Rxl from Feb to Jul 2019 for CV% and EQAS reports from CMC, Vellore for Bias%. Sigma metrics was calculated using total allowable error targets as per CLIA and Biological Variability database guidelines.

For level-2 IQC; TG, Chol, ALP showed excellent performance with σ>6 while σ<3 was observed for AST, Total Protein, Glucose, BUN and ALT using CLIA guidelines while in IQC Level-3 poor performers were only BUN and ALT with Ca, TG and Chol showing σ>6. Further by using Biological Variability data guidelines; 10 parameters of IQC Level-2 and 5 of IQC level-3 were poor performers with σ<3.

Sigma metrics is an excellent tool for performance analysis of tests performed in a clinical laboratory. Lack of precision in terms of CV% was seen for majority of the poor performers. Total allowable error targets using Biological Variability data revealed σ<3 for 10 parameters while using CLIA guidelines σ<3 was seen for only 5 parameters of IQC level-2.

Total allowable error targets using Biological Variability data revealed σ less then 3 for 10 parameters while using CLIA guidelines σ less then 3 was seen for only 5 parameters of IQC level-2.In this article, we present and describe a new dataset of non-state actor participation in seven regional fisheries management organizations (RFMOs). The dataset contains institutional, economic and ecological variables relevant for non-state actor participation in RFMOs and for RFMO effectiveness. To code non-state actor participation and institutional factors, we quantify information from publicly available RFMO reports as well as data from the Policy IV dataset. We pair these data with existing datasets on ecological and economic factors from the RAM Legacy and the Sea Around Us databases. This article describes the data collection process and the coded variables in detail. This data article is associated with the research article "Evaluating the impact of methionine-enriched diets in the liver of European seabass through label-free shotgun proteomics". Here it is described the data obtained from proteomic analysis of 36 European seabass juveniles (3 fish x 3 replicate tanks) after 18 days of feeding with experimental diets containing four inclusion levels of methionine (Met) 0.77%, 1%, 1.36% and 1.66% Met (w/w). We analysed this dataset and compared it with that obtained during the long-term feeding period i.e., 85 days. Fish liver proteins were digested with trypsin and purified peptides were analysed by LC-MS/MS. Proteins were identified with at least two peptides at 0.1% Decoy false discovery rate (FDR). In this dataset, we present the analysis of the differential abundant proteins (DAP) with significant differences across treatments after 18 days of feeding (One-Way ANOVA, p less then 0.05). Treatment's comparisons were also performed between the 18- and 85-days feeding trials through Two-Way ANOVA (p less then 0.05). MS/MS raw data are available via ProteomeXChange with identifiers PXD019610 and 10.6019/PXD019610 (18-days dataset); and PXD019622 and 10.6019/PXD019622 (85-days dataset). This dataset corresponds to fish sampled after 18-days of experimental trial and is made available to support the study conducted in the afore-mentioned article, by performing the analysis during a short-term period of feeding. The data presented may be further used in other nutritional studies e.g., addressing hepatic changes mediated by Met.Translational animal models for studying post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are valuable for elucidating the poorly understood neurobiology of this neuropsychiatric disorder. These models should encompass crucial features, including persistence of PTSD-like phenotypes triggered after exposure to a single traumatic event, trauma susceptibility/resilience and predictive validity. Here we propose a novel arousal-based individual screening (AIS) model that recapitulates all these features. LY3023414 chemical structure The AIS model was designed by coupling the traumatization (24 h restraint) of C57BL/6 J mice with a novel individual screening. This screening consists of z-normalization of post-trauma changes in startle reactivity, which is a measure of arousal depending on neural circuits conserved across mammals. Through the AIS model, we identified susceptible mice showing long-lasting hyperarousal (up to 56 days post-trauma), and resilient mice showing normal arousal. Susceptible mice further showed persistent PTSD-like phenotypes including exaggerated fear reactivity and avoidance of trauma-related cue (up to 75 days post-trauma), increased avoidance-like behavior and social/cognitive impairment. Conversely, resilient mice adopted active coping strategies, behaving like control mice. We further uncovered novel transcriptional signatures driven by PTSD-related genes as well as dysfunction of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, which corroborated the segregation in susceptible/resilient subpopulations obtained through the AIS model and correlated with trauma susceptibility/resilience. Impaired hippocampal synaptic plasticity was also observed in susceptible mice. Finally, chronic treatment with paroxetine ameliorated the PTSD-like phenotypes of susceptible mice. These findings indicate that the AIS model might be a new translational animal model for the study of crucial features of PTSD. It might shed light on the unclear PTSD neurobiology and identify new pharmacological targets for this difficult-to-treat disorder.
