Many studies have reported an association between childhood trauma exposure and schizophrenia. Among these studies, the Short-form Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ-SF) is one of the most widely used measures of childhood trauma. However, little is known regarding the long-term reliability of the CTQ-SF, especially in patients with psychopathology.

The CTQ-SF was administered to 50 patients diagnosed with schizophrenia from a hospital in Changsha, Hunan, China. These patients were asked to re-complete the CTQ-SF when they were re-hospitalized or received outpatient treatments in the same hospital within 4 years of follow-up. Selleckchem Brepocitinib Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) was used to assess test-retest reliability of the CTQ-SF over the intervals. Associations of the CTQ-SF with the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) were tested using Spearman correlation coefficients.

Among the participants, 35 (70.0%) patients re-completed the CTQ-SF after an interval averaging 11.26 months. Excellent test-retest reliabilities (with ICC > 0.75) were found for the total CTQ-SF score (ICC = 0.772) as well as scores of the emotional abuse (ICC = 0.808), physical abuse (ICC = 0.756), sexual abuse (ICC = 0.877) and physical neglect (ICC = 0.751) subscales. Meanwhile, a moderate test-retest reliability was found for the emotional neglect subscale (ICC = 0.538). At both baseline and follow-up, no significant correlations (
> 0.05) were found between CTQ-SF scores and any other clinical assessments.

Our results suggest that CTQ-SF is reliable to assess childhood trauma exposures in schizophrenia over relatively long intervals, regardless of patients' current symptoms and states of cognition.

The pandemic of coronavirus disease spreading is impacting mental health globally. Even though the pandemic is challenging for patients, the community, policymakers, as well as health organizations, and teams, the data on COVID-19 and its association with anxiety and coping mechanisms towards infection among community members are currently limited. Thus, the study is intended to assess COVID-19-related levels of anxiety and coping strategies among community members of Bale and East Bale Zones, Southeast Ethiopia.

A community-based survey was carried out among 634 study participants of Bale and East Bale Zones from June 1 to 20, 2020. The level of anxiety was determined by using the 5-item Coronavirus Scale and the coping strategies were determined by using the 15-item Coping and Adaptation Processing Scale. Interviewer-administered questionnaires were used to collect the data. Bi-variable analysis and multiple logistic regression analysis were used to estimate the relationship among the variables.

COVIDthe study community.
COVID-19-related dysfunctional levels of anxiety were 16.58% in the study community. Half of the community was coped with COVID-19-related anxiety. Being an urban resident and walking along distances more than 1 hour from the health facility were the factors that decreased the odds of having a dysfunctional anxiety, whereas respondents who had no information from TV/radio increased the odds of having a dysfunctional anxiety. Accordingly, focusing on these identified factors could improve a dysfunctional level of anxiety in the study community.
The purpose of the study was to test the factorial validity of Classroom Engagement Inventory of Wang, Bergin and Bergin with Spanish high school students.

In this study, 546 students participated (mean = 13.27, standard deviation = 0.629), from several high schools in Andalusia. To analyze the psychometric properties of the scale, several analyses were carried out.

The results offered support for the five-factor structure. The analysis of invariance with respect to gender showed that the factor structure of the questionnaire was invariant. The Cronbach alpha values were higher than 0.70 in the subscales.

The results of this study demonstrated the reliability and validity of the Spanish version of the Classroom Engagement Inventory with high school students.

Composite outcome measures have become very relevant in rheumatology to evaluate disease activity as they capture the most important dimensions of the disease into one single measure. Most outcome measures may include disease manifestations, laboratory data, physician examination as well as the patient perspective as different outcome dimensions of the disease into a simple index. These outcome measures have proved their utility for guiding treatment in treat-to- target strategies and personalized medicine, with remission being the ultimate goal. In this narrative review, we go over the most commonly used outcome measures in rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthropathies, including psoriatic arthritis, and systemic lupus erythematosus to provide a practical summary for clinicians for everyday routine care.
Contraceptive use initiation and continuation is one of the major interventions for reducing maternal deaths worldwide. Nigeria aimed to achieve a 27% prevalence rate of modern contraceptive uptake by 2020, however, this seems to have remained unachieved. link2 The objective of this study was to investigate when Nigerian women initiate contraceptive use and its associated factors, using nationally representative data.

Data on 11,382 Nigerian women (aged 15-49 years) from the 2017 Performance Monitoring and Accountability 2020 (PMA2020) survey were used to determine the prevalence of lifetime contraceptive use. The Kaplan-Meier test was used to determine median time (years) to contraceptive uptake. In addition, the factors associated with contraceptive use were determined using multivariable logistic regression model. Statistical significance was determined at 5%.

The prevalence of modern contraceptive use was 14.2%. There were disparities in the timing (years) of contraceptive use initiation across several woopulations such as the rural dwellers and low income earners.
The prevalence of contraceptive use is low in Nigeria. There were differences in contraceptive use initiation among women of reproductive age in Nigeria. There is a need to adopt sustainable strategies to improve contraceptive uptake and to re-iterate the benefits of contraception, including providing enlightenment programs among key populations such as the rural dwellers and low income earners.
To obtain effective systemic blood flow and coronary perfusion by chest compressions during cardiopulmonary resuscitation, it is recommended that the interruption time of chest compressions be kept to a minimum, and that the chest compression fraction (CCF) should be kept high. In this study, we examined the effects of advanced airway management by paramedics in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) cases on CCF and on return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) before arrival at the hospital.

A total of 283 adult, non-traumatic OHCA cases who were in cardiopulmonary arrest at the time of EMS contact between April 2015 and March 2017 were registered for this study. We retrospectively investigated the presence or absence of advanced airway clearance, CCF and ROSC during CPR. CCF was calculated by measuring the chest compression interruption time from the ECG waveform recorded on a semiautomatic defibrillator (Philips HeartStart MRX). The data obtained were recorded on a computer, and comparisons between groupesuscitation.
In the attempt of searching for potential plant derived antimalarial medicines, the aim of the present study was to examine In vivo antimalarial efficacy of crude ethanol extracts of the leaves of
and
using chloroquine (CQ) sensitive strains of
in Swiss albino mice.

To ascertain the safety level of the plant materials, crude extracts underwent oral acute toxicity assessments whereby mice received up to a single dose of 3000 mg/kg. Peter's four day standard antimalarial suppressive test was carried out to determine growth inhibition of parasitemia at tested doses of 400, 600, and 800 mg/kg of the extracts. Survival time of experimental mice and preliminary phytochemical screenings of the extracts were also done according to the standard procedures.

Extracts of the plant materials did not produce severe acute toxic effects in mice that received up to 3000 mg/kg in a single dose. Although complete clearance was not recorded, extracts of the plant materials produced dose dependent suppression of the parasitemia. The highest growth inhibition recorded was by extract of
(61.44%) followed by
(59.3%) at 800 mg/kg of tested doses. Whereas, complete parasitemia clearance was attributed in mice treated with 25 mg/kg of CQ. In addition, survival time of experimental mice was recorded and the result showed mice treated with the extracts lived longer than the corresponding negative controls. link3 The phytochemical screening of the extracts revealed the presence of antimalarial active constituents such as alkaloids, saponins, cardiac glycosides, flavonoids, terpenoids, steroids, phenols, and tannins.

The present study, therefore, suggests that crude ethanol extracts of
, and
are safe and rich with active secondary metabolites which have promising antimalarial effects.

Treatment options for gastroparesis, such as metoclopramide and domperidone, are limited because of safety concerns, which may be exacerbated in the presence of inhibitors of drug metabolism. This study evaluated the effect of itraconazole on the pharmacokinetics, safety, and tolerability of trazpiroben (previously TAK-906), a novel, peripherally selective D
/D
dopamine receptor antagonist.

This was a phase 1, two-period, crossover trial in healthy participants (NCT03161405). On day 1, period 1 (days 1-3), participants received a single oral dose of trazpiroben 25 mg. During period 2 (days 4-9), participants received oral itraconazole 200 mg once daily (days 1-5) and one oral dose of trazpiroben 25 mg post itraconazole on day 4. Trazpiroben pharmacokinetics were assessed. Safety assessments included triplicate electrocardiograms.

Twelve healthy males (24-45 years old) were studied. Co-administration of itraconazole increased trazpiroben area under the concentration-time curve from time 0 to infinity by 1.28-fold (90% confidence interval 1.10, 1.49) and maximum plasma concentration (C
) by 1.98-fold (1.64, 2.39) versus trazpiroben alone. Placebo-corrected, change from baseline in corrected QT interval at the observed geometric mean C
for trazpiroben alone (9.53 ng/mL) and with itraconazole (18.00 ng/mL) was estimated at 1.31 ms (-0.39, 3.01) and 1.54 ms (-0.15, 3.24), respectively. There were no clinically relevant abnormalities in any safety parameters.

These results indicate that TAK‑906 is relatively insensitive to inhibition of cytochrome P450 3A4, and cardiovascular safety concerns associated with domperidone are unlikely to be elicited by trazpiroben under similar conditions.
