Therefore, this review aimed to explore and understand the vicarious traumatic childbirth experiences of health care providers, including obstetricians, midwives, nurses, and students. A systematic review of qualitative studies was conducted. Seven electronic databases, namely, PubMed, CINAHL, Embase, PsycINFO, Cochrane, Scopus, and Web of Science, were searched from each database's inception to May 2020. In total, 1,575 studies were retrieved and screened according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. Seventeen studies were included in this review and were meta-summarized and then meta-synthesized using the Sandelowski and Barroso approach. The overarching theme of "Tunneling through the trauma with a hope of finding an end" was derived, and four main themes along with 15 subthemes were identified. The four main themes were (1) "instantaneous response to the trauma," (2) "finding hope in the midst of chaos," (3) "dealing with the aftermath," and (4) "resolution to move on." Communication and teamwork among health care team members were identified as challenges contributed by professional hierarchy and lack of role clarity. Midwives and labor and delivery nurses expressed powerlessness in advocating for women on many occasions, and health care providers often had feelings of guilt and self-blame after adverse events. Health care providers also reported inadequate support from their colleagues and organizations, which influenced their ability to cope with the aftermath of trauma and their decision to stay in the profession.Objective The use of gamification can promote health-related behavior. This article is the first attempt to provide a historical overview of the use of games in patients undergoing hip arthroplasty. Materials and Methods We conducted a scoping review to map and characterize the games used for the person undergoing hip arthroplasty. To perform this review, the respective descriptors were identified using search syntax appropriate to each of the databases MEDLINE_ (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online), CINAHL_ (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature), SPORTDiscus, in the Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, SCOPUS, SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), and PEDRo (Physiotherapy Evidence Database). Results An initial 968 articles were identified, of which 7 articles were included. The domains of the games under analysis essentially focus on aspects of rehabilitation (n = 5), or related (n = 2), and mostly exergames (n = 6). However, the instruments, characteristics, and procedures used to evaluate the games in the included studies have little depth and large variability. Conclusion Few games exist that support people who have undergone hip arthroplasty. Most of the games under review were exergames to support rehabilitation. Consequently, we recommend developing another type of game with a focus on monitoring, counseling, and/or social support for selfmanagement training in persons undergoing hip arthroplasty.Background Mycobacterium vaccae vaccine, a composition of Mycobacterium proteins, has been known to have bidirectional immunomodulatory functions. Recent studies have shown that M. vaccae has a therapeutic potential for treating asthma. However, little is known regarding the effect of M. vaccae aerosol inhalation during allergen sensitization or challenge on asthma. The purpose of this study was to explore the effect and the underlying mechanism of M. vaccae aerosol inhalation during allergen sensitization or challenge on airway inflammation in an asthma mouse model. Methods Asthma mouse models were established. Mice received aerosol inhalation with M. vaccae once daily during allergen sensitization or challenge for 5 days successively. Airway responsiveness, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) cell count, histology, and cytokine concentrations (IL-4, IFN-γ, IL-10, and IL-17) were measured. The relative mRNA expression of ASC, caspase-1, TNF-α, and IL-1β was also determined. Expression of pulmonary NLRP3 and nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) protein was measured using immunohistochemistry and Western blot. Results M. vaccae aerosol inhalation suppressed airway hyperresponsiveness and inflammation, reduced levels of IL-4, upregulated expression of IFN-γ and IL-10 in BALF, inhibited mRNA expression of pulmonary ASC, caspase-1, TNF-α, and IL-1β, and also inhibited expression of pulmonary NLRP3 and NF-κB protein during allergen sensitization or challenge. Conclusion M. vaccae aerosol inhalation can suppress airway hyperresponsiveness and inflammation during allergen sensitization or challenge, and may be a promising approach for asthma therapy.Background Low levels of sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) is a potential predictor of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and when combined with insulin resistance (IR), lead to impaired glucose metabolism. To monitor and address the health needs of pilgrims in field clinics near the pilgrimage route, a syndromic surveillance system was designed and implemented by Global Health Development/Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network in collaboration with Iraq Ministry of Health. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the surveillance system and the data it gathered in evaluating the burden of common acute and infectious conditions, chronic conditions, and trauma and injuries during the Arba'een pilgrimage in 2018. Data were collected at 152 field clinics located across 11 governorates in Iraq at strategic points along the Arba'een pilgrimage route from all governorates to Karbala between October 8 and November 3, 2018. A team of 24 surveillance supervisors trained, oversaw, and provided technical support for 304 data collectors. Conclusions New chemicals were identified that protect from mitochondrial damage and lead to improved mitochondrial function. We systematically identified surveys, reports, and published studies that included data for the purpose of this review and did literature analysis. Under circumstance of obesity, weight loss, and renin-angiotensin-aldosterone blockade are the most studied therapies, effective to induce antiproteinuric effects and reversal of hyperfiltration in ORG. Glucagon-like peptide-1-based therapies led to improvement in proteinuria. Newer therapies directed to lipid metabolism, including farnesoid X receptor and takeda G protein-coupled receptor 5 agonists, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α agonists, hold therapeutic promise. Prevention and treatments of obesity and ORG are of great importance.
