Cubosomes were prepared using solutions of phytantriol in a range of diluents including choline chloride-glycerol, honey, lactic acid, glycerol, and ethanol. These solutions were added dropwise to water containing the stabiliser, poloxamer 407, following an established method of cubosome synthesis. The resulting structures were characterised using small-angle X-ray scattering, DLS and cryo-TEM.

Iron oxide nanoparticles can be preloaded into the oil phase of the nanoemulsion at tunable concentrations, and the excellent surface activity of the designed bimodal peptide in combination with sufficient electrostatic repulsion promotes the stability of the nanoemulsions. All these merits explain the high performance in ternary solar cells, and also demonstrate that ternary photovoltaics adopting non-fullerene acceptor with the fullerene acceptor as small amount of additive is an efficient strategy to gain high performing organic solar cells.Potassium-ion batteries (PIBs) is increasingly studied because of their suitable redox potential and high natural abundance. However, potential anode materials with long-term cycling stability are still in high demand because of the large radius of K+. Herein, an MOF-derived hierarchical carbon structure and the self-assembly of CNTs on hollow carbon polyhedrons are used as carbon matrices to disperse and stabilize metal selenides(Co-Se@CNNCP). When the hybrid is utilized in PIBs, it displays a specific capacity of 410 mA h g-1 at 0.1 A g-1 after 80 cycles and 253 mA h g-1 at 0.5 A g-1 after 200 cycles with a capacity retention of 100%, while the metal selenides dispersed on hollow carbon polyhedrons without CNTs (Zn-Co-Se@NCP) lose 86% of their capacity after 200 cycles. The superior cycling stability of the hybrid is mainly attributed to the large amounts of CNTs suppressing the agglomeration of the metal selenide nanoparticles on the surface, and the hollow carbon polyhedrons cause a high structural integrity during the repreated K+ insertion and extraction process. This work offers a feasible route to design a hierarchical carbon matrix for use as the anode materials of PIBs with long-term cycling stability.Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) has been widely used in clinical practice as a first-line treatment for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the current therapeuticeffect of TACE is far from satisfactory and thus requires further improvement. TACE combined with multifunctional magnetic particles may be a promising approach for the treatment of HCC. In this study, we designed a new magnetic drug carrier system consisting of micron-sized iron powder, barium ferrite (BaFe12O19), and carbon-coated iron nanocrystals (CCINs). CCINs possess properties, such as high drug loading and sustained release. BaFe12O19 could attract both CCINs and iron powder to form larger clusters after magnetization. Altogether, the triple therapeutic effects of chemotherapeutic enhancement, embolization, and thermal ablation could be realized herein. Further experiments indicate that the system has a high drug-loading capacity, good controlled-release effect, and no significant cytotoxicity. Under the action of a medium-frequency magnetic induction device, the magnetic induction temperature could reach 43 °C in one min while the maximum temperature of 70.
