1%). A total of 214 patients(83.9%) underwent surgical treatment, and underwent nasal endoscopic reduction of nasal bone fractures under local anesthesia, and 77 patients(30.2%) underwent nasal septum surgery. ConclusionCT three-dimensional imaging technology can clearly display the location of the nasal bone fracture, the shape of the fracture line, the number of fragments formed by the fracture, and quantitative analysis of the deformity caused by it, which plays an important role in its diagnosis and treatment.ObjectiveTo evaluate the efficacy of virtual reality technology assisted vestibular rehabilitation training(VRT) in treating chronic vestibular dysfunction patients. #link# MethodNinety-eight vestibular dysfunction patients were assigned into the experimental group(n=73) and the control group(n=25) using mechanical sampling. The experimental group received immersive virtual reality assisted VRT treatment, while the control group received conventional VRT treatment. Chinese vertigo symptom scale(VSS-C) was used to measure vertigo symptoms before treatment and 12 weeks post-treatment. Balance feedback instrument was used to measure the center of pressure(COP), maximum oscillation length(MOL) and COP envelope area(EA) which smaller numbers indicating better balance functions. link2 Analysis of variance and Fisher's exact test were performed using SPSS 20.0 software to compare mean values and frequencies, respectively. Result①Before treatment as baseline, there were no statistically significant differences in the total score The effect of VR on subjective balance rehabilitation without visual impairment is better than that of conventional.ObjectiveTo investigate the objective evaluation system of nasal function changes in patients with recurrent sinusitis after revision endoscopic sinus surgery. MethodSixty patients with recurrent sinusitis underwent revision endoscopic sinus surgery. Akti-1/2 -Kennedy endoscopic sinus score and Lund-Mackay paranasal sinus CT score were performed before surgery, 3, 6 and 12 months after surgery. The saccharin test was used to evaluate the nasal mucosa ciliary moving function(nasal mucosal ciliary motor velocity) before surgery, 6 and 12 months after surgery. The correlation of objective evaluation indexes before and after surgery was analyzed. ResultThe Lund-Kennedy endoscopic sinus score and Lund-Mackay paranasal sinus CT score of patients 3, 6, 12 months after surgery were lower than those before surgery(P less then 0.05); The Lund-Kennedy endoscopic sinus score and Lund-Mackay paranasal sinus CT score of patients 6 and 12 months after surgery were lower than those 3 months after surgery(P less then 0.05); ThThere is good correlation among the Lund-Kennedy endoscopic sinus score, the Lund-Mackay paranasal sinus CT score and the nasal mucosal ciliary motor velocity in patients with recurrent sinusitis before and after revision endoscopic sinus surgery. This study establishes an objective evaluation system for evaluating the changes in nasal function with these three indexes as the main body.ObjectiveTo evaluate the anti-reflux treatment efficacy for the chronic pharyngitis patients with the reflux finding score(RFS) from 8-10. MethodOne hundred and twelve patients with clinical diagnosis of chronic pharyngitis and RFS score of 8-10 were randomly divided into control and treatment groups. The treantment group was given the proton pump inhibitors, gastrointestinal motility drugs and the traditional Chinese patent drugs(treatment group). The control group was given only the traditional Chinese patent drugs(control group). ResultThe visual analogue scale(VAS) of the patients in treatment group declined significantly after treatment. The efficacy of treatment group was significantly higher than that of control group(77.36% vs 30.61%, P less then 0.01). ConclusionFor the patients with chronic pharyngitis with RFS 8-10, anti-reflux treatment should be used together with traditional Chinese patent drugs.ObjectiveTo discuss the diagnosis and treatment process of skull base osteoradionecrosis and improve the recognization of this disease. MethodWe reviewd skull base and nasopharyngeal osteoradionecrosis in 7 patients retrospectively, including 5 nasopharyngeal carcinoma, 1 squamous cell carcinoma of sphenoid sinus, 1 adenoid cystic carcinoma; 6 patientd received skull base debridement surgery and the other one attempted but failed because of her unstable condition. ResultFollow-up period ranged from 3 to 31 months (mean 11.5 month). During the review time, 2 patients died, 1 patient still had osteoradionecrosis with partly alleviated clinical symptom. At the latest follow-up visit, she was diagnosed as tumor recurrence and was advised to take targeted therapy by multi-discipline team; the symptom was significant improved in the rest of the patients. ConclusionOsteoradionecrosis of skull base is often associated with other post-radiotherapy related complications. Once diagnosed definitely, extensive skull base debridement surgery should be performed in early time, which can significantly relieve symptoms, improve living quality and reduce the incidence of lethal complications.ObjectiveTo analyze the causes of misdiagnosis of patients with glomus jugulare tumor. MethodThe clinical data of 116 patients with glomus jugulare tumor were retrospectively analyzed. ResultAmong the 116 patients, 65 were misdiagnosed, the average duration of misdiagnosis was 4.90 years. The misdiagnosed diseases were chronic otitis media or cholesteatoma in 25 cases, neurological tinnitus or hearing loss in 16 cases, facial paralysis in 6 cases, external auditory canal masses in 4 cases, secretory otitis media in 3 cases, neck mass in 3 cases, intracranial neoplasma in 2 cases, middle ear cancer in 1 case, vocal cord paralysis in 1 case, stomatitis in 1 case, optic nerve head edema in 1 case, middle ear hemangioma in 1 case and vascular tinnitus in 1 case. ConclusionThe misdiagnosis of glomus jugulare tumor can be summarized as follows the patients' first symptoms were not specific; lack of auxiliary examination, especially imaging examination; physicians have insufficient understanding of imaging and pathological examination of glomus jugulare tumor.ObjectiveTo compare the different therapeutic effects of modified syringe forearm quantitative injection and forearm brachioradialis intramuscular transplantation after receiving total parathyroidectomy in patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism. MethodOne hundred and fifty-two patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism who underwent total parathyroidectomy were divided into the forearm brachioradialis intramuscular transplantation group and the modified syringe forearm quantitative injection group according to the different forearm transplantation methods. The study counted and compared the duration of surgery, preoperative and postoperative parathyroid hormone levels, blood calcium and other indicators. ResultThe results showed that there was no statistically significant difference in laboratory test data between the two groups, but the modified syringe forearm quantitative injection method was more convenient, and the recovery time of the parathyroid function was shortened from an average of 6 months to an average of 3 months(P=0.03). There was no statistical difference in the recurrence of the two groups of patients after transplantation. ConclusionThe modified syringe forearm quantitative injection method for transplantation of parathyroid gland is relatively simple to operate, saves time, and enables the transplanted parathyroid gland to function faster. It is worthy of being widely used.ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical significance and expression of periostin in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps(CRSwNP) . link3 MethodIn this study, we collected 30 CRSwNP patients' nasal polyps(NPs) and 18 control subjects' normal nasal mucosa of uncinate process. The expressions of periostin and IL-5 were examined using immunohistochemistric staining, immunostaining and /or quantitative RT-PCR and the eosinophil infiltration were evaluated as well. ResultPeriostin was mainly expressed in the subdermal area of nasal mucosa. The number of periostin positive cells in nasal polyps was significantly higher than that in normal control group(P less then 0.01). The mRNA and protein expressions of periostin in NPs were significantly higher than that of the control nasal mucosa(all P less then 0.01). The expression of priostin mRNA were positively correlated with IL-5 expression in NPs(r=0.731 5, P less then 0.01). ConclusionOur findings indicate periostin may participate in the formation of nasal polyps by means of chemostaxis and activation of eosinophils.ObjectiveTo study the quality of life of patients with allergic rhinitis(AR) caused by airborne pollen in Inner Mongolia, and provide reference for overall health intervention for AR patients. MethodAccording to the severity of disease, 268 cases of patients was divided into mild and moderate to severe group. The patients general condition questionnaire, standardized rhinoconjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire(RQLQ), quality of life questionare-core30(QOL-C30) were used to assess the quality of life of AR patients. At the same time 90 healthy volunteers with no symptoms of nasal(balanced gender, age) were recruited as control group. ResultIn the intra-group comparison of the RQLQ questionnaire for AR patients, the total score of the RQLQ questionnaire and the 7 factor scores in the moderate to severe groups were significantly higher than those in the mild group(all P less then 0.05). The QOL-C30 survey showed that the scores of the four dimensions of QOL-C30 assessment in the moderate to severe group of AR patients were generally lower than those in the control group(all P less then 0.05). Compared with the control group, the score of physical function and psychological function in mild group decreased significantly(P less then 0.05). Compared with the mild group, the moderate to severe groups showed significant decreases in physical function, psychological function and material life score(P less then 0.05). ConclusionPollen, as a airborne allergen, is the main inducement of AR in Inner Mongolia. AR can seriously affect the physical and mental health of patients and reduce the quality of life. Clinical practice should focus on providing standardized treatment interventions and good health education for AR patients to improve quality of life.ObjectiveTo explore the efficacy of functional endoscopic sinus surgery(FESS) with an absorbable sinus drug stent in the treatment of chronic sinusitis. Method107 patients with chronic sinusitis who underwent FESS were divided into two groups 58 patients were set as stent group who were treated with sinus drug elution during surgery; 49 patients who did not receive a sinus drug stent were included in the non-stent group. The same postoperative treatment were used in the two groups. The patients were followed up for 1 month and reviewed 3 months after surgery. Efficacy is mainly evaluated by endoscopy. The evaluation indicators include whether the sinus mucosa is congested and edema, whether there is adhesion in the middle turbinate, whether vesicles or polyp-like mucosa are formed, whether the sinus mouth is stenosed or reoccluded, whether the sinus mucosa is epithelialized, and whether the patient had intervention after surgery. ResultStents were successfully implanted in 58 patients in the stent group. The difference of the above six indexes between the stent group and the non-stent group was statistically significant at 1 month after operation.
