The
complex (Bcc) is an opportunistic pathogen in humans and animals. Deep pyoderma caused by these bacteria in dogs has been previously reported. This case series aims to describe contrasting treatment responses in Bcc-related deep pyoderma in two dogs, a male and a female.

Both patients had a history of immune-mediated polyarthritis (IMPA) managed with oral ciclosporin and prednisolone. Their skin lesions were multifocal, irregular, erythematous to hemorrhagic, alopecic papules, plaques, and nodules, with extensive crusting, draining tracts, and ulceration. Cytological findings revealed a marked inflammatory response consisting of non-degenerative and degenerative neutrophils and macrophages, with moderate to abundant intracellular and extracellular Bcc. Ciclosporin and prednisolone were stopped in case 2 after diagnosis. However, it was challenging to stop the regimen in case 1 because of the recurrence of IMPA and the onset of iatrogenic hypoadrenocorticism. Case 1 did not achieve remission for approximately 66 weeks even with seven protocols because of multiple relapses, whereas it took only 3 weeks to achieve remission in case 2 while using one drug.

The amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations and Granger causality were analyzed to investigate disrupted brain regions and effective connectivity, respectively. Left ventricular aneurysm (LVA) is a severe and common mechanical comorbidity with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) that can present high mortality and serious adverse outcomes. Accordingly, there is a need for early identification and prevention of patients at risk of LVA. The aim of this study was to develop and validate a risk prediction model for LVA among AMI patients in Northwest China.

A total of 509 patients with AMI were retrospectively collected between January 2018 and August 2021. All patients were randomly divided into a training group (n=356) and a validation group (n=153). Potential risk factors for LVA were screened for predictive modelling using least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression, multivariate logistic regression, clinical relevance, and represented by a comprehensive nomogram. Receiver operating characteristic curve, calibration curve, and decision-curve analysis (DCA) were used to assess the discrimination capacity, calibration, and clinical validity, respectiveto rapidly assess the risk of LVA in patients with AMI. POCTs are a nascent technology that has experienced rapid growth as a result of COVID-19 due to their ability to increase healthcare accessibility via near-patient delivery, including at-home. We surveyed healthcare professionals before and during COVID-19 to explore whether the pandemic altered their perceptions about the usefulness of POCTs. Our network analysis method provided a structure for understanding this changing phenomenon. We uncovered that POCTs are not only useful for diagnosing COVID-19, but healthcare professionals also perceive them as increasingly important for diagnosing other diseases, such as cardiovascular, endocrine, respiratory, and metabolic diseases. Healthcare professionals also viewed POCTs as facilitating the humanization of epidemiology by improving disease management/monitoring and strengthening the clinician-patient relationship. A longstanding centre of agricultural production and innovation, India has recently launched an ambitious soil health programme. The country's Soil Health Card (SHC) Scheme intervenes in farm-scale decisions about efficient fertiliser use, envisioning farmers as managers and soil as a substrate for production. India is also home to one of the world's largest alternative agriculture movements natural farming. This puts farmer expertise at the centre of soil fertility and attends to the wider ecological health of soils. Despite emerging as a mode of resistance to dominant agricultural systems, natural farming is now being delivered in increasingly bureaucratic ways by India's state governments. This article offers Himachal Pradesh as a case study in how the soil is governed, drawing on 38 semi-structured interviews with scientists, agricultural officers, non-governmental organisation leaders, and activists. Rather than assess approaches to soil health according to their ecological bottom line, we examine the differing forms of knowledge, expertise and 'truth' in the SHC and Natural Farming approaches. Our analysis reveals discontinuities in how farmers are imagined, as well as continuities in how quasi-spiritual language combines in a bionationalist project, positing assumptions about the correct arrangement of life in nationalist terms. We point to a shift toward hybrid and pick-and-mix approaches to soil health, as farmers and their organisers are increasingly invested with the capacities to combine multiple options. We see a fracturing of expertise and the opening up of epistemic pluralism in responses to the soil fertility crisis.

We conducted an electronic cross-sectional survey to evaluate awareness and perception of the integration of a tobacco treatment specialist into a primary care facility that is part of a large Midwestern tertiary healthcare center. The sample for this study included all the primary clinic staff that directly work with patients and included licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, physician assistants, certified nurse practitioners, and medical doctors.
