Women physicians face unique obstacles while progressing through their careers, navigating career advancement and seeking balance between professional and personal responsibilities. Systemic changes, along with individual and institutional changes, are needed to overcome obstacles perpetuating physician gender inequities. Developing a deeper understanding of women physicians' experiences during important transition points could reveal both barriers and opportunities for recruitment, retention, and promotion, and inform best practices developed based on these experiences.

The aim is to learn from the experiences and perspectives of women physicians as they transition from early to mid-career, then develop best practices that can serve to support women physicians as they advance through their careers.

Semistructured interviews were conducted with women physicians in the United States in 2020 and 2021. Eligibility criteria included self-identification as a woman who is in the process of transitioning or whion of the results and presentation at the annual meeting of the American Medical Association's Women Physicians Section.
Preliminary results provide initial insights about how women identify or activate a career shift and how they marshaled resources and support to navigate barriers they faced. Further analyses are continuing as of March 2022 and are expected to be completed by June 2022. The dissemination plan includes peer-reviewed open-access journal publication of the results and presentation at the annual meeting of the American Medical Association's Women Physicians Section.
Intervention development is a critical stage. However, evidence indicates that the substandard reporting of intervention details is widespread.

This study aimed to provide an overview of the guiding frameworks, methodology, and stages for the design and construction of a new complex intervention-the Phone Pal.

The intervention development process followed the Medical Research Council framework for developing complex interventions as well as the person-based approach. The intervention was developed following the evidence synthesis of a literature review, a focus group study, and a survey after consultation and input from advisory groups with a range of stakeholders, including patients, volunteers, clinicians, and academics.

The developed logic model outlines the contextual factors, intervention, mechanisms of change, and short- and long-term outcomes. The operationalized intervention required matching 1 patient with 1 volunteer to communicate with each other through a smartphone via SMS text messages, WhatsApp messages or email, and audio or video calls. Each participant was encouraged to communicate with their match at least once per week for a 12-week period using informal conversation.

The systematic process and theoretically sound strategy through which this intervention was developed can provide insights to future researchers on the reality of developing and preparing the operationalization of a digital intervention using multiple components.

Owing to the nature of health data, their sharing and reuse for research are limited by legal, technical, and ethical implications. In this sense, to address that challenge and facilitate and promote the discovery of scientific knowledge, the Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) principles help organizations to share research data in a secure, appropriate, and useful way for other researchers.

The objective of this study was the FAIRification of existing health research data sets and applying a federated machine learning architecture on top of the FAIRified data sets of different health research performing organizations. The entire FAIR4Health solution was validated through the assessment of a federated model for real-time prediction of 30-day readmission risk in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

The application of the FAIR principles on health research data sets in 3 different health care settings enabled a retrospective multicenter study for the developmenificant accuracy (0.98) and precision (0.25) of the predictive model generated upon the FAIR4Health platform were observed. Therefore, the generated prediction of 30-day readmission risk was confirmed in 87% (87/100) of cases.

Implementing a FAIR data policy in health research performing organizations to facilitate data sharing and reuse is relevant and needed, following the discovery, access, integration, and analysis of health research data. The FAIR4Health project proposes a technological solution in the health domain to facilitate alignment with the FAIR principles.

The ethanolamine moiety facilitates photodecomposition, which in a potential drug will take place after use. Herein, the synthetic preparation of these compounds and the mechanism of photoinactivation are described.
India is undergoing a demographic transition characterized by population aging and is witnessing a high dementia rate. Although nearly 7 million people live with dementia in India, dementia awareness is poor, and current resources addressing dementia care are basic and often incomplete, duplicated, or conflicting. To address this gap, this study aims to use digital media, which has had a massive technological uptake in India, to improve dementia care in India.

The objective of this paper is to describe an intervention study design that examines the feasibility and acceptability of Moving Pictures India, a digital media resource to improve dementia care in India.

This study employs a mixed methods design and is divided into 4 phases (1) video interviews with Indian caregivers and health professionals; (2) coproduction of resources; (3) pilot randomized controlled trial (RCT); and (4) dissemination and analytics. The pilot RCT will follow an experimental parallel group design with 2 arms aiming to assess ia in India and other countries aiming to utilize digital media for dementia care. If the intervention is found feasible and acceptable, postpiloting analytics and qualitative feedback will be used to develop an implementation trial to evaluate the effectiveness of the potential low-risk high-benefit intervention in practice.

DERR1-10.2196/38456.Low-temperature adhesion is ubiquitous in daily life and industry. However, most supramolecular adhesives are thermoplastic materials that require heating during the adhesion. NSC 209524 Herein, a supramolecular approach is used to construct unique pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) that can be directly operated at low temperatures (-60 °C). Supramolecular polymerization between phytic acid (PA) and water (H) endows poly(PA-H)s with excellent mechanical properties and low temperature adhesion capacity. Poly(PA-H)s can easily be processed into PSA tapes, pastes, and particles. Poly(PA-H)s were directly adhered to various surfaces by pressing at low temperatures (0 to -60 °C). No heating or high-temperature-induced solid-liquid transition was required for the low-temperature adhesion of poly(PA-H)s. With the help of structural water units in supramolecular polymers, poly(PA-H)s showed strong, stable, and organic solvent resistant adhesion performances at low temperatures, with adhesion strength of up to 3.61 MPa at -60 °C.In pursuit of potent anti-TB agents active against drug resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB), herein we report synthesis and bio-evaluation of a new series of isoxazole-carboxylic acid methyl ester based 2-substituted quinoline derivatives. Preliminary evaluation indicated selectivity towards Mtb H37Rv, with no inhibition of non-tubercular mycobacterial (NTM) & bacterial pathogen panel. Out of 36 synthesized compounds, majority exhibited substantial inhibition of Mtb H37Rv (MIC 0.5-8 μg/mL). Cell viability test against Vero cells revealed no significant cytotoxicity. Further, screening against drug resistant strains (DR-Mtb) found hit compound displaying promising potency (MIC 1-4 μg/mL). Structure optimization of the hit led to the identification of lead compound demonstrating potent inhibition of both drug-susceptible Mtb (MIC 0.12 μg/mL) and drug-resistant Mtb (MIC 0.25-0.5 μg/mL) along with a high selectivity index (SI) >80. Taken together, with appreciable selectivity and potent activity, these chemotypes show prospect to be turned into a potential anti-TB candidate.Microbial cell factories reinvigorate current industries by producing complex fine chemicals at low costs. Reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) is the main reducing power to drive the biosynthetic pathways in microorganisms. However, insufficient intrinsic NADPH limits the productivity of microorganisms. Here, we report that supplying microorganisms with long-lived electrons from persistent phosphor mesoporous Al2 O3 (meso-Al2 O3 ) can elevate the NADPH level to facilitate efficient fine chemical production. The defects in meso-Al2 O3 were demonstrated to be highly efficient in prolonging electrons' lifetime. The long-lived electrons in meso-Al2 O3 can pass the material-microorganism interface and power the biosynthetic pathways of E. coli to produce jet fuel farnesene. This work represents a reliable strategy to design photo-biosynthesis systems to improve the productivity of microorganisms with solar energy. This cohort study uses electromyometrial imaging to examine the underlying electrophysiological origins of human labor at the myometrium level.
Resettled refugees in high-income countries represent a vulnerable population. It is known that refugees have high rates of trauma-related mental health issues; however, ad hoc research has generally revealed low rates of health services use among refugees. Such research usually samples a population at a single point in time and is based on targeted surveys. Because refugee populations change over time, such research becomes expensive and time-consuming for agencies interested in routinely publishing statistics of mental health services use among refugees. The linking of large administrative data sets to establish rates of use of mental health services among resettled refugees is a flexible and relatively inexpensive approach.

To use data linkage to establish rates of mental health services use among resettled refugees relative to the general population.

This cross-sectional study implemented data linkage from the Refugee Health Nurse Program for 10 050 refugees who resettled in Sydney, Australia, from October 23, 2012, to June 8, 2017, with data concerning use of community mental health services and mental health hospitalization from New South Wales Health databases.
