01% ± 0.13%). Furthermore, varying the illumination intensity from 200 to 2000 lux increased the Jsc and Voc values as well as the FF values, thus leading to increased PCE levels. In addition, the best PCE of the PM6Y6 device with 1% FB-2IDTT-4Cl as additives was 16.9%. Our stability test showed that the PM6Y6 standard device efficiency downgraded very soon either at room temperature or under thermal-annealing conditions. However, with the addition of 1% FB-2IDTT-4Cl as additives, the device efficiency still can be maintained at 90-95% in 500 h at room temperature and 95% at 20 h and 85-95% in 45 h at an annealing temperature of 80 °C. These findings demonstrate FB-2IDTT-4Cl to be a promising candidate as an electron acceptor with a fluorinated π-bridging fused-ring design for OPV applications.Thermal management of H2 gas storage in a tank is crucial for determining the H2 gas deliverable capacity. In this study, a strategy for the design of an excellent comprehensive performance fuel storage tank from the screening of microscopic materials to the design of macroscopic particle adsorption tank performance is proposed. The best metal-organic framework (MOF) for H2 deliverable capacity in a computation-ready experimental MOF database is first screened using a grand canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC) method. An upscale model that combines the finite volume method with GCMC is then established to investigate the H2 charging and discharging processes in a screened best MOF-filled adsorption particle tank that is integrated with a phase-change material (PCM) jacket. The process of the heat and mass transfer in the screened best MOF particle adsorption tank with and without the PCM jacket-inserted metal foam is studied. The results show that the prescreened XAWVUN has the highest gravimetric and considerable volumetric deliverable capacity among 503 MOFs, which can reach up to 23.1 mol·kg-1 and 20.8 kg·m-3 at 298 K and pressures between 35 000 kPa (adsorption pressure) and 160 kPa (desorption pressure), respectively. The H2 deliverable capacity can be maximized by 3.2 and 12.1% for PCM jackets inserted with metal foam in the H2 charging and discharging processes when it is compared with the case without the PCM jacket, respectively. The above study will facilitate the development of new equipment for hydrogen storage.Thermo-responsive smart windows that control solar transmission are expected to be the promising solution to excessive building energy consumption and overheating of solar cell devices. The two performance indices, namely, the luminous transmission (Tlum) and the solar modulation (ΔTsol), are often intrinsically limited by conventional thermo-responsive materials, which restrict their applications in smart windows. Alternatively, constructing a deformable surface morphology of smart windows can be an effective strategy to modulate the solar transmission. Here, we report a new category of thermo-responsive smart windows with a deformable surface morphology, which can be custom designed to achieve both desirable ΔTsol and Tlum according to the sunlight incident angles of actual applications. This design is based on a thermo-responsive shape memory polymer and an optical coating, which is termed the butterfly-wing-like smart window (BSW). The BSW reversibly transforms from a temporary shape of flat topography to a predefined original shape of tilted configuration upon heating. It is demonstrated that the BSW has a high ΔTsol of 32.6% and an excellent Tlum(average) of 64.5%. This work provides a new design strategy and mechanism for thermo-responsive smart windows.
SARS-CoV-2 virus was notified by the World Health Organization in January 2020 as a global emergency, due to its intense transmission, and clinical picture, that is aggravated in susceptible people.

To describe the factors associated with death in COVID-19 and pneumonia patients hospitalized in a thirdlevel center.

An undivided case-control study was carried out. It was conducted an interview to obtain general information; from the medical record were collected hospitalization data, radiological images, laboratory parameters, and treatments used. It was used descriptive statistics. Ruxolitinib ic50 Student's t, Mann-Whitney U, and chi-squared were used to identify variables associated with death, and models of adjusted binary logistic regression to propose which variables of the patient's history, clinical parameters and treatments explained the death.

We treated 5339 patients with suspicion of COVID-19 3117 positive (59%), 1029 hospitalized due to pneumonia, and 513 deaths (16.46%). For the analysis, 1110 patients were taken, 399 death cases were selected and 357 controls discharged due to improvement. The average age was 57.8 years; 59% were male.

The variables associated with mortality were patients older than 40 years, chest radiography image > 50% involvement, intubation, lactic dehydrogenase > 500, C-reactive protein > 10, and organ failure; variables associated with improvement were stay in the intensive care unit, use of broad spectrum parenteral antibiotics, steroids, and use of the anticoagulant enoxyheparin. Sex, diabetes, and comorbidities did not show significant association.

Substandard and falsified medicines pose a serious threat to public health throughout the world but disproportionately afflict under-resourced nations with weak pharmaceutical regulatory mechanisms. The prescription of medicines is an event in which a medical practitioner(MP) is a decision maker for the ultimate consumer who is the patient.

The study was aimed at describing awareness, identification, utilization, and barriers to utilization of point of-care overt anti-counterfeit medicine technologies(ACMTs) and the drivers, dangers and preventive measures of substandard and falsified medicines among MPs in Abia State.

This was a cross-sectional study done on 178 MPs in Abia State, Nigeria. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire that elicited information on awareness, identification, utilization of overt ACMTs and its barriers. The drivers, dangers and preventive measures for substandard and falsified medicines were also studied.

The mean age±SD of the respondents was 34±8.2 (Rangt was believed that the commonest driver of substandard and falsified medicines was poor pharmaceutical products regulatory system and all these could result in treatment failures. Securing supply chain of medicinal products may serve as an effective preventive measure.
Since the first cases of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), ocular manifestations secondary to infection have been known and these have been related to the CD4+ lymphocyte count.

To describe the correlation between ocular manifestations in patients with HIV and the CD4+ lymphocyte count.

Analytical cross-sectional study of patients with HIV whose CD4+ count was correlated with the presence of ophthalmological manifestations.

21 patients between 26 and 67 years were studied. Only 3 patients were not on antiretroviral therapy. 67% of the patients presented some type of ocular manifestation, 42% presented non-infection related manifestations, 47% related manifestations and 24% both. Conjunctival microangiopathy was the most frequent ocular manifestation (35.7%). There was a statistically significant correlation (r = 0.76, p = 0.0001) between eye manifestations related to infection and CD4+ lymphocyte count.

Patients with HIV frequently present ocular manifestations, the majority related to infection; there is a correlation between the presence of these with the CD4+ count. However, a similar number of manifestations not related to infection occurred without correlation with the count; therefore, HIV patients should have periodic ophthalmological examinations, independently of CD4+ count.

The pandemic caused by COVID-19 is one of the main problems of public health around the world. Of the individuals with infection, a large amount corresponds to first-level health workers.

To determine the relationship between length of stay in respiratory offices and SARS-CoV-2 infection in health workers at a first-level health center.

Cross-sectional analytic study in health workers of a first-level unit of San Luis Potosí, Mexico, who developed suspected symptomatology of SARS-CoV-2 infection from March 2020 to January 2021. Two groups were formed according to the result of the RT-PCR. Demographic variables, occupation, work area, work in respiratory area, hours of work accumulated within the respiratory area to develop symptomatology, and date of development of symptomatology were registered.

Of 350 health workers active, 144 developed respiratory symptomatology; of these, 66 had positive RT-PCR for SARS-CoV-2 infection. Working in an area with no respiratory patients but in contact with other patients confers an OR 2.49 (1.04-6.26), when compared with working in a respiratory area, p 0.0446. The length in a filter for respiratory patients gives a protective OR of 0.3062 (0.08-0.99) for developing SARS-CoV-2 infection, p 0.0608. Each hour accumulated in a respiratory area confers an OR 1.001 (0.99-1.00) without statistical significance, p 0.3046.

Working in a respiratory area and the accumulated hours of work in this place are not risk factors for developing COVID-19 in health workers.

Is the application of ultrasound effective on pain, the severity of the symptoms, physical function, strength, and neurophysiological parameters of the median nerve conduction in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome?

A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials was performed by using a structured search strategy in Scopus, CINAHL, Web of Science and PEDro databases. All the primary studies included samples with carpal tunnel syndrome treated by ultrasound versus no treatment, therapeutic ultrasound versus sham ultrasound, ultrasound and usual care versus usual care, or ultrasound and other intervention versus the same intervention. The outcomes measures registered were pain, severity of symptoms, function, strength, and neurophysiological parameters (motor distal latency and sensory distal latency) of the median nerve. Methodological quality was evaluated by PEdro scale.

Ten clinical trials met the inclusion criteria for the systematic review. Eight trials were meta-analyzed, which included a total of 2069 patients with carpal tunnel syndrome.
