Movement robust ICG dimensions by using a two-step range denoising strategy.
This study aims to analyze Internet traffic and interactions on social networks concerning vaccines. The 100 most widely shared, liked, and commented links were visited with the keyword "vaccine" from May 2018 to May 2019 to identify the main subjects, sources, and positions. The qualitative study phase used Discourse Analysis to identify modes of production of principal meanings in the chats. We further studied the fake news in the most widely shared links. The results point to a majority position in favor of vaccines (87.6%) and strong interest in health-related themes, scientific development, and health policies. Meanwhile, some of the mostly widely accessed sources of information in Brazil had no information on editorial criteria, policies, or authors, making it difficult to determine the quality and veracity of the information consumed in social networks in Brazil. Fake news accounted for 13.5% of the links with the heaviest traffic, raising concerns about misinformation on vaccines. These results point to important communication dynamics related to vaccines and opportunities to improve public communication on vaccination. This study evaluated influenza vaccine coverage among elderly individuals (≥ 60 years) living in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, in 2015, and analyzed associated factors. This was a cross-sectional population-based study of data from the SABE Study (Health, Well-Being, and Aging). The dependent variable was influenza vaccination in the 12 months prior to the interview, and the independent variables were sociodemographic and behavioral characteristics, self-reported health status, and use of health services. NVP2 Data analysis considered the complex study sample, respecting the sampling weight. Poisson's regression was used, with significance set at 5%. Vaccine coverage was 79.7% (95%CI 76.8-82.5). Influenza vaccination was associated with marital status (PR single/without partner = 0.84; 95%CI 0.77-0.93), physical activity (PR yes = 1.08; 95%CI 1.01-1.17), and medical appointment in the previous 12 months (PR yes = 1.22; 95%CI 1.07-1.39). There were no differences between sociodemographic strata. Influenza vaccination in the elderly had already reached the target for universal coverage in the city of São Paulo. The results are relevant for planning the immunization program, pointing to priority groups to motivate for vaccination and valuing interaction between the elderly and health services. This essay discusses the resurgence of anti-vaccine activism in recent years, based on relevant literature and the author's own experiences. After presenting possible reasons for the reemergence of such movements and their consequences, the author analyses the role of Internet-mediated communication in amplifying this discourse and making it less amenable to criticism, presenting some of the main arguments deployed by the anti-vaccine agents in their discussions. The text concludes with a draft of possible responses to this increasingly worrying phenomenon. This study analyzed the main economic trends, market structure, production, and innovation in vaccines against infectious diseases at the global and national levels, observing the effects on access to vaccination in Brazil and on the sustainability of the Brazilian Unified National Health System. In order to update a global overview of R&D and the market, the authors conducted a literature search and drew on a competitive intelligence database. In order to understand Brazil's role in this context, with the Health Economic-Industrial Complex as the structural focus, the authors accessed information from the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency, the National Immunization Program, and the Questel Orbit Intelligence database on patent protection in Brazil; identified the technologies transferred to public institutions in Brazil; and analyzed the trend in the trade balance deficit in health. The analysis revealed a global trend of concentration of vaccine production in a few leading pharmaceutical companies and the exacerbation of economic and technological asymmetries in the vaccine sector. In Brazil, the study identified technological weaknesses, risks, and manufacturing bottlenecks that impact the guarantee of immunizations in the country and showed that despite the installed industrial base, public policies and actions by domestic manufacturers have not been sufficient to confront and overcome the global context of structural dependence. In conclusion, the study indicates the need for progress in the Brazilian national strategy to link domestic production, technological capacity-building, and innovation in the vaccine sector to help guarantee universal access to health in Brazil.
To analyze the current scientific literature to document, in an integrative review, the main findings that correlate Kawasaki disease (KD) to COVID-19.

The search was carried out in June 2020 in the following databases Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), periódico da CAPES and U.S National Library of Medicine (PubMed). The combination of descriptors used was [(COVID-19 OR SARS-CoV-2) AND (Kawasaki disease)], and the inclusion criteria stipulated were studies published from January 2019 to June 2020, without restriction of language or location, and available online in full. News, editorials, comments, and letters, as well as duplicates and articles that did not answer the guiding question were excluded.

A total of 97 articles were identified, of which seven comprised this review. The association of KD to the new coronavirus appears to trigger a severe clinical condition of vasculitis. Different from the usual, in this inflammatory syndrome, patients are older, and prevalence is higher in children from African or Caribbean ancestry; clinical and laboratory manifestations are also atypical, with a predominance of abdominal complaints and exaggerated elevation of inflammatory markers. In addition, there was a greater report of rare complications and greater resistance to the recommended treatment for KD.

Pediatric COVID-19 and its potential association to severe KD, still unfamiliar to health professionals, reinforces the importance of testing patients with vasculitis for the new coronavirus and the need to wage high surveillance and preparation of the health system during the current pandemic.
