Taguchi orthogonal experiment and factorial experiment-assisted molecular dynamics method were used to simulate the effects of 32 regulation schemes on the synergistic degradation of NNIS and its derivatives by rhizobia and carbon fixing bacteria. The synergistic degradation capacity of soil rhizobia and carbon-fixing bacteria was increased to 33.32% after right nitrogen supplementation. This indicated that supplementing the correct amount of nitrogen in the soil environment was beneficial to the microbial degradation of NNIs and their derivatives.The illegal disposal of industrial sewage sludge has caused serious environmental pollution. To develop identification technology of industrial sewage sludge based on the characteristic fingerprints is a promising method that is helpful to clarify the responsibility of illegal enterprises. In this study, heavy metal profiles of sewage sludge from industries (including printing and dyeing industry and other industries) and municipal sewage treatment plant located in eastern China were determined, and their performance of classification was evaluated by principal component analysis (PCA) and linear discrimination analysis (LDA). Results showed that heavy metal composition can be an effective tool for distinguishing sewage sludge between printing and dyeing industry and other industries, with an accuracy rate of 82.9%. Meanwhile, heavy metal speciation may be a promising method for identification of printing and dyeing sludge from municipal sewage sludge, the accuracy rate of which reached 100%. Moreover, antimony (Sb) and zinc (Zn) are two indicators, which can be used to identify sewage sludge between printing and dyeing sub-industries, and the accuracy rate was 90%. We concluded that heavy metal profiles may be a precise and promising tool for identification of printing and dyeing sludge. This study developed a potential method for tracing the source of industrial sewage sludge and establishing the identification database of industrial sewage sludge and provided technical support for the government to supervise the illegal dumping and disposal of industrial sewage sludge.The use of renewable energy improves environmental quality by reducing carbon emission and influence economic growth where carbon emission also affect economic growth of a country. The economic theory of tourism also indicates that tourism development enhances economic growth through spillovers as well contributes to climate change. Financial development enhances economic growth; however, it also affects environmental quality. Based on the ongoing debate, the present research attempts to explore the effect of renewable energy consumption, tourism and financial development on economic growth and carbon emission in global income countries to know whether these impacts are the same globally for the low-income and high-income countries. Using panel data for the global panel, high-income and low-income countries for the period of 2002-2019, the results indicate that all variables affect economic growth and carbon emission significantly. Three common factors TORR, FDT and TO significantly increase economic growth while decrease carbon emission. Renewable energy and TORA also reduce emission, while TORX, FDB and economic growth are the drivers of carbon emission; however, this effect varies in different income countries. The results evidence the environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis only in high-income countries. These results suggest that enhancing tourism and financial development mitigates emission level and enhances economic growth; however, renewable energy consumption reduces both. The study has shown that these variables are not the same as the economic growth and emission levels of different income groups are not the same, but it changes. In addition, the foundation of this study has a great deal of recommendations for income group economic and environmental decision make-up.Steel slag is an industrial by product of steel manufacturing processes and has been widely utilized within civil and construction materials for road materials and environmental remediation in countries like Japan, USA, and European Union nations. However, the current utilization of steel slag in Vietnam is very low mainly because of lack of quality control of slag treatment and chances for reuse of treated steel slag. This paper presents the up to date steel slag production status in Vietnam through the extensive survey and sampling at seven large steel factories. The paper also highlights the environmental and quality control issues of these steel slags to use as road construction aggregates by assessing the heavy metals concentration in the leachate. The basic oxygen furnace (BOF) and electric arc furnace (EAF) slag samples were collected to evaluate leaching properties of metals leached from the slags. The two standardized batch leaching tests of steel slag roadbed material in Japan (JIS K 0058-1) and toxby the authorities to ensure the leachate meet the surface water quality standard.In the current context of rapid development and urbanization, land use and land cover (LULC) types have undergone unprecedented changes, globally and nationally, leading to significant effects on the surrounding ecological environment quality (EEQ). The urban agglomeration in North Slope of Tianshan (UANST) is in the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt of China. This area has experienced rapid development and urbanization with equally rapid LULC changes which affect the EEQ. Hence, this study quantified and assessed the spatial-temporal changes of LULC on the UANST from 2001 to 2018 based on remote sensing analysis. Combining five remote sensing ecological factors (WET, NDVI, IBI, TVDI, LST) that met the pressure-state-response(PSR) framework, the spatial-temporal distribution characteristics of EEQ were evaluated by synthesizing a new Remote Sensing Ecological Index (RSEI), with the interaction between land use change and EEQ subsequently analyzed. The results showed that LULC change dominated EEQ changn, and social development in the UANST.Reindeer herding is a vitally important agricultural sector in the Russian Far North. It is believed that Northern ecosystems readily accumulate persistent pollutants because of trophic chains and climate features peculiar to the region. Reindeers graze on vast areas, and their seasonal migrations to distances of up to hundreds of kilometers in the North-South direction increase the likelihood of crossing a locally polluted area. Here, we present the results of a large-scale nationwide study of reindeer liver, kidneys, and muscle pollution by dioxins, cadmium, and mercury. Samples were taken in 2015-2020 from 41 locations in 8 reindeer-herding regions of Russia. Dioxins were determined in 383 samples of liver and 13 of muscle, and cadmium and mercury-in 505 samples of liver, 315 of kidneys, and 22 of muscle. Dioxin pollution has shown a clear geographical trend, i.e., liver concentrations of dioxins steadily decrease from the Western to the Eastern parts on the Russian Far North, with the highest concentration of 76.5 pg/g of fat WHO-TEQ. The discovered trend may be explained by the pattern of chemical plants' localization and by the density of reindeer population (as known from the literature sources). The highest concentrations of metals were found in kidneys (7.3 mg/kg of cadmium and 1.1 mg/kg of mercury). The contribution of local sources to cadmium and mercury pollution was found to be less than expected. Epigenetic inhibitor We also suggest that reindeer liver may serve as a good additional indicator of environmental pollution by dioxins and heavy metals.The role of information and communication technology (ICT) is imperative in the transformation of the world. ICT is directly affecting all the sectors of the whole economy. Thus, the present study is determined to investigate the effect of ICT on energy efficiency and environmental sustainability in emerging Asian economies from 1990 to 2019. The panel augmented autoregressive distributed lag-pooled mean group approach has been used for empirical investigation. Two separate models have been designed to attain the empirical consensus. ICT is measured through two proxies namely broadband subscriptions (internet) and mobile cellular subscriptions (mobile). Results show that internet and mobile upsurge the energy efficiency in the long run. However, internet and mobile have a reducing impact on carbon emissions in the long run. While FDI enhances energy efficiency and reduces carbon emissions inferring that environmental efficiency improves in the long run. The study suggests that policymakers must be aware of the impact of ICT on energy efficiency and environmental quality and regulate their manufacturers to enable the amalgamation of ICT into users' routines.In the present work, sustainable and green method was used to prepare silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs), followed with incorporation into tertiary nanocomposite consisted of starch, oxidized cellulose and ethyl cellulose. The prepared tertiary silver-nanocomposite (Ag-NC) was fully characterized via instrumental analysis (UV-vis, FT-IR, XRD, SEM, EDX and TEM) and evaluated for antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral activities. Ag-NC significantly suppressed growth of tested bacterial strains (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis) as compared with controls. Antifungal activity revealed that the prepared tertiary Ag-NC has a promising antifungal activity towards unicellular (Candida albicans) and multicellular fungi ( Aspergillus niger, A. terreus, A. flavus and A. fumigatus). In same line, both Ag-NC and free Ag-NPs have shown a dose-dependent reduction in Vero cell line with maximum non-toxic dose at 6.25 and 12.5 μg/mL, respectively. Both Ag-NPs and Ag-NC exhibited antiviral effects against Herpes simplex virus, Adenovirus and Coxsackie B virus in a dose-dependent manner. Combined treatment of Ag-NPs incorporated into tertiary nanocomposite based on starch, oxidized cellulose and ethyl cellulose opens new possibilities to be more efficient nanomaterials for preventing microbial growth. In conclusion, the prepared tertiary Ag-NC has a promising antibacterial, antifungal as well as antiviral activities.Second-line treatment options for patients with relapsed, extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) are limited, and even with currently available treatments, prognosis remains poor. Until recently, topotecan (a topoisomerase I inhibitor) was the only drug approved by the United States (US) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the management of ES-SCLC following progression after first-line treatment with etoposide plus a platinum derivative (EP; carboplatin preferred). With the most recent approval of EP plus a programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitor, there are now more therapeutic options for managing ES-SCLC. A number of novel agents have emerging data for activity in relapsed ES-SCLC, and single-agent lurbinectedin (an alkylating drug and selective inhibitor of oncogenic transcription and DNA repair machinery in tumor cells) has conditional FDA approval for use in this patient population. Trilaciclib, a short-acting cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 (CDK 4/6) inhibitor, has also been recently approved as a supportive intervention for use prior to an EP or a topotecan-containing regimen to diminish the incidence of chemotherapy-induced myelosuppression.
