Higher and more predictable success rates of ≥ 2 years were observed for partial pulpotomy and full pulpotomy in carious pulp-exposed permanent human teeth as compared to direct pulp capping. Possible prognostic factors (pre-operative pulp status, pulp capping material and apex closure) yielded conflicting results. Restorative material, periapical status at baseline, final irrigation solution, age and study type did not seem to affect the treatment outcome.

Vital pulp therapy is a reliable treatment option for permanent teeth with carious pulp exposure. However, more high-quality studies are required to corroborate this finding.

Compounds 1, 4, and 7 were isolated for the first time from D. eschscholtzii. The phytotoxicity of all the compounds was determined on germination, root growth, and oxygen uptake in seedlings of a monocotyledonous (Panicum miliaceum) and three dicotyledonous plants (Medicago sativa, Trifolium pratense, and Amaranthus hypochondriacus). In general, root growth was the most affected process in all four weeds, and chromenones 1 and 2 were the most phytotoxic compounds. The aim of this study was to describe the course of and identify the factors related to muscle mass change during chemotherapy in children with neuroblastoma. A total of 24 consecutive patients aged below 18 years with newly diagnosed high-risk neuroblastoma between 2010 and 2018 in our hospital were enrolled in a case-series study. The psoas muscle index (PMI) was calculated as a parameter of muscle mass based on computer tomography (CT) images of the psoas muscle. PMIs were evaluated at 4 time points (TPs) TP1, at the diagnosis of neuroblastoma; TP2, after the first cycle of chemotherapy; TP3, after the third cycle of chemotherapy; and TP4, at the end of the induction chemotherapy. PMI recovery was defined as an increase in PMI between TP2 and TP4. The mean PMI decreased by 15% between TP1 and TP2 (TP1 7.09 ± 0.99 vs. TP2 6.01 ± 0.98, P less then 0.001) and by 10% between TP1 and TP4 (TP1 7.09 vs. TP4 6.35, P = 0.004). PMI recovery between TP1 and TP2 was observed in 7 (29%) patients. The median age of patients with PMI recovery was significantly lower (2 vs. 4 years, P = 0.028), and the proportion of boys was significantly higher in patients with PMI recovery (100% vs. 41%, P = 0.017).Conclusion This study demonstrated that prominent PMI reduction occurs during the early time of chemotherapy, and a younger age and male sex may be predictive factors for PMI recovery. Single-use disposable digital flexible ureterorenoscope has become an attractive option to reusable scope with many advantages. Currently available single-use digital fURS have outer shaft diameter above 9 Fr which requires large access sheath insertion and sometimes double J stent placement. Recently, 7.5 Fr single-use digital fURS is introduced in market by Pusen. Objective of this study is to compare two Pusen single-use scopes in the clinical setting 7.5 Fr Uscope PU3033A and 9.5 Fr Uscope PU3022A.

30 patients, having renal stones < 2cm, planned for RIRS were prospectively randomized to two groups group 1 had 15 patients in which 7.5 Fr Uscope PU3033A and group 2 had 15 patients in which 9.5 Fr Uscope PU3022A was used. The various pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative parameters at 1month along with complications were evaluated for both the scopes by a single surgical team.

Pre-operative parameters including stone characteristics were comparable in both the groups. Three patients in group 2 needed ureteric dilatation prior to 11/13 access sheath insertion, while 10/12 Fr access sheath was placed in all patients in group 1 without manipulation (p = 0.06). Intra-operative vision was comparable in both scopes with an empty working channel and with laser. Hazy vision while lasing in two and one patient in group 1 and group 2, respectively (p = 0.54). In group 1, one had fever and UTI, while in group 2, one had fever post-operatively.
