Bioinoculants mitigated the negative effects on shoot biomass, especially when PGPR were co-inoculated, increasing up to 89% the aerial biomass of plants exposed to moderate water deficit. Bioinoculation also increased nitrogen (N) and phosphorous (P) use efficiency, which may have led to higher maize growth under water deficit conditions. The size of the inocula applied had marginal influence on biometric and nutrient parameters, although the higher concentration of the mixture of PGPR was the most effective in improving shoot biomass under moderate water deficit. This study shows that rhizobacterial strains are able to increase nutrient use efficiency and to alleviate water stress effects in crops with high water demands and have potential applications to keep up with productivity in water stress scenarios. For many years, the application of mixed-effects modeling has received much attention for predicting scenarios in the fields of theoretical and applied sciences. In Selleck Danusertib , a "new" Multilevel Linear Mixed-Effects (LME) model is proposed to analyze and predict multiply-nested and hierarchical data. Temperature and rainfall observation were carried out successively between 1979-2014 and 1984-2018; and the data input was organized on monthly basis for each year. Besides, a daily observation was made for "Dar Chaoui" zone of Northern Morocco. However, we chose in the first time a simple linear regression model, but the estimation has been just for fixed effects and ignoring the random effect. On the other hand, in multilevel linear mixed effects models, once the model has been formulated, methods are needed to estimate the model parameters. In this section, we first deal with the joint estimation of the fixed effects (β), random effects (ui) and then with estimation of the variance parameters (γ, ρ and σ2). The study revealed that the predicted values are very close to the real value. Besides, this model is capable of modelling the error, fixed and random parts of the sample. Moreover, in this range, the results showed that there is three standard deviations measures for fixed and random effects, also the variance measure, which demonstrate us a great prediction. In conclusion, this model gives a decisive precision of results that can be exploited in studies for forecast of water balance and/or soil erosion. These results can also be used to inhibit the risk of erosion with possible arrangements for the environment and human security.Several approaches have been applied to harvest bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) and to differentiate into neurons or neuronal-like cells through chemical stimulation or exposing to growth factors. To date, the data regarding induction or regulation of neuronal transcription program in neuronal-like cells derived from BMSCs is yet unknown. The objective of this study is to co-culture BMSCs with neonatal hippocampal cells and generate neuronal-like cells by direct cell-to-cell contact system without using neuronal growth factors or neurobasal medium. Here, we proposed a role for NeuroD1 and Neurogenin -2 bHLH family of transcription factors implicated in onset of neurogenesis and differentiation of cells into neurons in promoting the interaction of hippocampal cells with BMSCs and their differentiation in to neurons. The proliferation of the cells was assessed with MTT assay and the role of neuronal induction and differentiation transcription regulators NeuroD1 and Neurogenin-2 in cocultured cells was determined through immunocytochemical analysis. We observed activation and expression of the neurogenic transcription factors NeuroD1 and NGN-2 associated with neuronal activation program to initiate the onset of neurogenesis in cocultured cells. Further, our results have shown a significant expression of neuronal progenitor and immature neuronal marker i.e., nestin and tubulin respectively in cocultured cells endorsing the initiation of neuronal activation.Binding interactions of boronic acid derivatives viz. 2-Methylphenylboronic acid (B1) and 3-Methoxyphenylboronic acid (B2) with mono saccharides (arabinose, fructose and galactose) and disaccharides (sucrose, lactose and maltose) in aqueous condition at pH 7.4 by means of fluorescence spectroscopy is reported in the present investigation. Sugar sensing as well as continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) plays a significant role in diabetes regulation. Sugar sensors mediated through enzymes have their own drawbacks, which led to encouragement to search for designing new sensors through alternate approaches. Among many, fluorescence-based sensors are drawing more attention. Boronic acid-based fluorescence sensors have the capacity to bind reversibly with diols, which makes their demand high in applications. Addition of sugar reduces fluorescence intensities. Change in intensities is associated to cleavage of intermolecular hydrogen bonding which leads in reduced stability of boronate ester. Lineweaver-Burk and Benesi-Hildebrand equation is used for analysing data. Mono sugars are estimated to have higher binding constants. Mutarotation leads to structural changes in saccharides which play a key role in binding interactions. Sugars in furanose form are found to be highly favoured for binding. Molecular docking of B1 and B2 with proteins with PDB ID 2IPL and 2IPM being periplasmic was done with the help of Schrodinger Maestro 11.2 version. GLIDE scores terms are used for expressing binding affinity.
To examine the difference of eye closed learning (iCLOL) time (time during which vision is not required), and the interblink interval (IBI), depending on the learning content, in order to consider the possibility of applying iCLOL to learning.

To examine iCLOL time during the listening, writing, and reading sections of an English examination, 19 Japanese subjects were asked to close their eyes whenever it did not interfere with their responses to the examination. Their eyes were video recorded with a video camera, and iCLOL time and the IBI were compared.

The percentage of iCLOL time during the listening, writing, and reading sections of the examination was 50.7 ± 10.9%, 8.0 ± 6.5%, and 0.9 ± 1.0%, respectively with significant differences among the three. The iCLOL frequency during the listening, writing, and reading sections was 1.64 ± 0.54 times/min, 0.67 ± 0.50 times/min, and 0.26 ± 0.29 times/min, respectively, with significant differences among the three. The IBI during the listening, writing, and reading sections was 3.7 ± 1.7 s, 3.7 ± 1.6 s, and 5.0 ± 2.1 s, respectively; it was significantly shorter for listening and writing than for reading.

iCLOL time was observed during the English examination, the percentage and frequency of which differed depending on the examination content. At times during the examination when the iCLOL time percentage and frequency were greater, the IBI was shorter. These results suggest that iCLOL may be applied as a method during learning.

This paper sought for possible factors that put children at risk for ASD. In this study, we investigated the association between ASD and parental ages, parental age gaps, birth order and birth delivery method in Malaysian population. In this school-based case control study, 465 children with ASD 464 controls participated. Questionnaires were distributed to the parents of the selected children through the respective principals. Among the tested variables, Caesarean section (OR = 1.63, 95% CI 1.20, 2.20), earlier order of birth in the family (OR = 0.68, 95% CI 0.59, 0.77) and increasing gap in parental ages (OR = 1.04, 95% CI 1.001, 1.07) were significantly associated with ASD. This study concludes that Caesarean section, earlier order of birth in the family and increasing gap in parental age are independent risk factors for developing autism among Malaysian children. The challenge of automatically screening for potential school shooters involves several difficulties. In this paper, we present a simple and interpretable methodology for screening for potential school shooters through (1) the psychological textual signature of the shooter and (2) Jaynes approach for measuring the weight of evidence. We have tested our proposed approach on a dataset of texts written by shooters and non-shooters alike (N = 5047). Our major finding is that the methodology can successfully support the screening for potential shooters in interpretable way. The major implication for stakeholders is that there is great potential in developing screening systems for improving the safely of schools. #link# However, developing such a system is a project that must be actualized within an integrated system of "command and control".In the context of megacities in an urban environment, air quality is an important issue, due to the direct correlation to population's health. The biomonitoring of pollutants can indicate subtle environmental alterations, for that, anemophilous fungi can be monitored for changes in atmospheric conditions related to pollution. In the present study, the concentration of fungi and bacteria in the atmosphere was measured during a specific vehicle fleet reduction in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, from May 24 to 30, 2018, using impactor air samplers. The number of isolated developed colonies was related to atmospheric conditions and the concentration of other air pollutants constantly monitored. link2 Aspergillus, Curvularia, Penicillium, Neurospora, Rhizopus and Trichoderma were identified. link3 The number of colony-forming units increased by approximately 80% during the sampling period in response to environmental changes favored by the fleet reduction. This result implies the relation between fuel emissions, concentration of atmospheric pollutants, and the presence of viable fungal spores in the urban environment, which highlights the importance of combined public policies for air quality in large cities.[This corrects the article DOI 10.1016/j.heliyon.2020.e04140.].Optimization of process parameters for the regeneration of used mobil oil by acid/clay method using sulphuric acid as washing agent was successfully carried out. Used mobil oil was characterized before and after regeneration to determine the changes in the physicochemical properties of the oils. The viscosity, flash point and fire point of the oil increased after regeneration while the specific gravity and sulphur content decreased. The Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS) carried out revealed the presence of eight different metals in the fresh mobil whose concentration increased during use but reduced after regeneration. The FTIR instrumentation analysis revealed that the used mobil oil has high concentration of some ester groups, aromatic materials, glycol and sulphur oxidation products while the proportion of these materials plunged significantly after treatment. Changes in the process conditions like acid concentration, settling time and bleaching temperature affected the effectiveness of the regeneration process by affecting the desired changes in the physicochemical properties.
