The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding its production facilities in the overseas market and operating in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an opportunity to grow for bidet and washlet toilet seats, in contrast to its "base" markets in Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto was recording Toto words to ensure the next generation would be able to read them. Many words were replaced by foreign words. For example dui, which is Bengali for verandah was being used.
Origins
Toto's early history, which began in 1917, was a reflection of Japan's economic growth. In the first half of 1917, Toto made products to meet the growing demand for modern, contemporary urban housing. To accomplish this, it used the country's first tunnel kiln that produced ceramics in continuous flow. 스포츠토토 pioneered automation for production control, allowing greater efficiency and consistency.
The company began expanding overseas in the late 1980s in order to benefit from new markets and sales opportunities. The company created the Cera Trading Company to import and sell other products of other manufacturers in order to complement its own line of sanitary earthenwares as well as plumbing fittings. This strategy increased sales and expanded the market share of the company globally.
By the 1990s, Toto had shifted its focus on research and development for household appliances that are water-related. It also redesigned its system of distribution to better serve its customers and boost profits. The company employed the same approach of just-in-time in its supply chain management as well as sales program. This led to a higher level of customer satisfaction.
Toto continues to invent toilet technology. Its latest toilet, for instance, has an extremely powerful tornado flush that is more eco friendly than conventional toilets. Toto also makes use of recycled water in its production process and has a green procurement policy. In addition to toilets Toto produces bathtubs and faucets, as well as hand dryers that are more efficient in terms of energy consumption than conventional models.
The company's first museum opened in the year 2015 It has exhibits on Toto's most iconic products and their development as well as its group companies (all having to do with ceramics) and the history of plumbing and other products such as bath units and, in a separate gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum even has a bathroom that includes a WASHLET toilet as well as other toilet-related innovations.
Before beginning the formation of Toto members of the group did sessions for a variety of musicians. Boz Scaggs album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich and guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather, drummer Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. They also performed on albums by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
With a name like Asia one would expect the group to be prog kings and queens but they're actually a fairly straightforward rock band. The band began as four members and released two albums: 1979's self-titled debut and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. Although the band have a diverse musical background, their biggest success was achieved in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a major blockbuster but not without its difficulties. Record companies put the band on place with the directive "give us an album that is a success or we'll sack you" and the pressure was on them to deliver. Toto was able to do this with the help from the hit song "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is due to their prior experience in the music industry, as the band members had been session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts prior the group. Their sonic signature has since become the standard for '80s pop, influencing many modern artists.
This album starts off hard, with songs such as Running Out of Time and Unknown Soldier showcasing the bands ability to write fantastic AOR songs that slowly build their hooks into your mind. The album also features jazzier, slower tracks like The Little Things and Chinatown. And the album ends with Great Expectations, a song that combines folk with distortion AOR and could sound totally wrong, but is incredibly effective.
After Toto IV the band's fortunes started to plummet. David Hungate left the band to pursue a solo career. The band had several drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the group in the aftermath of drug-related charges. However, Highly recommended Website continued to perform as a trio, which included Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
Despite the turbulence, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation that was not as successful as IV. However, the band had a successful chart-topping album in the year 1992 with Kingdom of Desire. This album marked the conclusion of the original Toto lineup and was also the first to feature the new singer, Simon Phillips.
Tours
The band has performed across the world, performing to an crowd of millions, with sold-out shows in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia and New Zealand. The band has a huge repertoire, and its catalog has been played over one billion times on streaming services around the world. The band's music has influenced generations of fans.
Steve Lukather has forged a vibrant, intimate friendship with Joe Williams that is flourishing professionally around the globe. In 2018 the duo celebrated 40 Tours Around the Sun with a massively successful global tour. The album that bears the same name reached #5 on Billboard 200. The new tour of the band features their greatest hits and rarely played live deep cuts, along with some of the songs from Lukather and Williams their individual catalogs.
TOTO has an NP Score of 20. This score is a measure of how likely it is that customers will recommend the brand. Promoters are those who praise the company and actively encourage others to utilize their products or services. Detractors are those who rate the company poorly and might even actively hinder others from using their products or services.

Line-up
Turn Back, the band's third studio album, was a return to a classic sextet format, and it was a more consistent, more powerful effort that had a more grittier edge. The more edgier sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the development of the group. Drummer Bobby Kimball's increased ability to play was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and mature. David Paich's keyboard work was as well more refined, more precise, and less derivative on earlier efforts.
After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live performance in Amsterdam which was released as a set of two CDs entitled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. The group released a brand new studio album a few months after, and went on a world tour to help promote it. In this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich, and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich and Lukather started looking through old demos and tapes in search of a new record featuring songs that had never been recorded before. It was released in the form of a double-album called Then & Now in 2001. It was the band's first album that did not contain a single song titled "A". The album also included a previously unreleased track titled "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New was not a commercial success and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis that affected his singing abilities. Hungate also returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming was replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.
Downes, Wetton Palmer and Howe, the founding members of Asia The original Asia members met in England in the beginning of 2006 to discuss the possibility that the group could be revived. This lineup, minus Howe who was busy with Yes during that time, became Toto XIV. They toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also had a special appearance by singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
