3 Differential Appearance Evaluation Strategies to RNA Sequencing: limma, EdgeR, DESeq2.
Rumen fermentation parameters (pH, ammonia nitrogen concentration and protozoa count) were not affected (p > .05) by any of the three treatments. The average daily gain of lambs on V and VWS lambs was three times greater (p less then .05) than that of WS lambs (164, 152 and 49.5 g respectively). Cold carcass yield averaged 444, 428 and 388 g/ kg for lambs assigned to V, VWS and WS treatments respectively. It is concluded that grazing vetch alone or combined with WS increased substantially the growth performance and carcass yield of lambs compared with WS grazing only. Therefore, dried vetch grazing could be a solution to make possible mulching and biomass uptake by sheep under the context of CA.
Pediatric papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is clinically and biologically distinct from adult PTC. We sequenced a cohort of clinically annotated pediatric PTC cases enriched for high-risk tumors to identify genetic alterations of relevance for diagnosis and therapy.

Tumor DNA and RNA were extracted from FFPE tissue and subjected to next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation using a custom 124-gene hybridization capture panel and the 75-gene Archer Oncology Research Panel, respectively. NGS libraries were sequenced on an Illumina MiSeq.

Thirty-six pediatric PTC cases were analyzed. Metastases were frequently observed to cervical lymph nodes (29/36, 81%), with pulmonary metastases less commonly found (10/36, 28%). Relapsed or refractory disease occurred in 18 patients (18/36, 50%). DNA sequencing revealed targetable mutations in 8 of 31 tumors tested (26%), most commonly BRAF p.V600E (n=6). RNA sequencing identified targetable fusions in 13 of 25 tumors tested (52%) RET (n=8), NTRK3 (n=4), and BRAF. Mutually exclusive targetable alterations were discovered in 15 of the 20 tumors (75%) with both DNA and RNA analyzed. Fusion-positive PTC was associated with multifocal disease, higher tumor staging, and higher American Thyroid Association risk levels. Both BRAF V600E mutations and gene fusions were correlated with the presence of cervical metastases.

It was aimed to provide controlled ampicillin delivery by incorporation of HA-NPs into biocompatible CS-G hydrogel structure. According to in vitro ampicillin release studies, 55% of ampicillin was released from CS-G/HA-NPs hydrogels after 5 days. Antibacterial performance of CS-G/HA-NPs hydrogels was proven with agar disc diffusion test. For cytotoxicity assay, fibroblast cell viability increased in CS-G/HA-NPs hydrogels compared with CS-G group after 24 hr incubation. Consequently, the potential ability of CS-G/HA-NPs hydrogels as a controlled drug delivery system has been verified.
This study was conducted to examine the association between mindfulness and health promotion among undergraduate nursing students and explore the mediation effect of certain factors (perceived stress, depressive symptoms, self-care agency, and impulsivity) on this relationship.

Cross-sectional quantitative design.

A total of 195 undergraduate nursing students from a public university in Jordan participated in this study. A demographic questionnaire was used in addition to using well-established, validated tools to measure health promotion, mindfulness, perceived stress, depressive symptoms, impulsivity, and self-care agency. Data were collected between March and November 2018. Data were analysed using PROCESS macros.

The direct association between mindfulness and health promotion was positive but not statistically significant. Simple mediation analysis showed that perceived stress is the only statistically significant mediator (effect=0.03; 95% CI LL=0.008, UL=0.057). The serial multiple mediator anal benefit from the findings of this study.
This study examined the complex relationship between mindfulness and health promotion. There is a mediation effect of nursing students' perceived stress, depressive symptoms, and self-care agency on the relationship between mindfulness and health promotion. Researchers interested in designing mindfulness-based interventions to optimize health promotion of nursing students could benefit from the findings of this study.
Echo planar imaging (EPI) is commonly used to acquire the many volumes needed for high angular resolution diffusion Imaging (HARDI), posing a higher risk for artifacts, such as distortion and deformation. An alternative to EPI is fast spin echo (FSE) imaging, which has fewer artifacts but is inherently slower. The aim is to accelerate FSE such that a HARDI data set can be acquired in a time comparable to EPI using compressed sensing.

Compressed sensing was applied in either q-space or simultaneously in k-space and q-space, by undersampling the k-space in the phase-encoding direction or retrospectively eliminating diffusion directions for different degrees of undersampling. To test the replicability of the acquisition and reconstruction, brain data were acquired from six mice, and a numerical phantom experiment was performed. All HARDI data were analyzed individually using constrained spherical deconvolution, and the apparent fiber density and complexity metric were evaluated, together with whole-brain tractography.

The apparent fiber density and complexity metric showed relatively minor differences when only q-space undersampling was used, but deteriorate when k-space undersampling was applied. Likewise, the tract density weighted image showed good results when only q-space undersampling was applied using 15 directions or more, but information was lost when fewer volumes or k-space undersampling were used.

It was found that acquiring 15 to 20 diffusion directions with a full k-space and reconstructed using compressed sensing could suffice for a replicable measurement of quantitative measures in mice, where areas near the sinuses and ear cavities are untainted by signal loss.

Reconstructing the occlusal morphology of posterior teeth in definitive dental prosthesis can be challenging.The use of the correlation technique enables replication of the information and occlusal anatomy of interim dental prostheses to the definitive ones. The purpose of this controlled clinical trial was to compare the static and dynamic contacts (SDC) of monolithic zirconia crowns designed with correlation and library techniques.

Twenty-four patients were included in the study for a total of 28molars. For each abutment tooth, an interim crown was fabricated and two digital scans, with and without the interim crown in place were made. Two single crowns were designed using correlation and library techniques. Fifty-six monolithic zirconia crowns were milled. The interim and definitive crowns were evaluated intraorally for SDC by using a 24-μm-thick blue articulating foil. The experience of feeling overworked has led to feelings of burnout and low morale among nurses in Ireland, which has prompted the authors to identify potential variables that reduce these outcomes-in this case, ethical leadership and decision authority.

A descriptive, cross-sectional survey design was used across three hospital sites.

A cross-sectional sample of 89 nurses was recruited from three Irish hospitals to capture the experience of nurses between December 2017 - February 2018. Hypotheses were tested using path model analysis.

Ethical leadership positively predicted decision authority among nurses. Ethical leadership also had an indirecte predictor of emotional exhaustion, and turnover intention among nurses.
To describe the clinical presentation and outcome of two greyhounds with calcaneal malunions that were treated with corrective osteotomy and partial tarsal arthrodesis.

Two adult racing greyhounds.

Varus and recurvatum deformity of the calcaneus was ascribed to malunion of prior calcaneal fracture with concomitant central bone fracture that had been sustained during racing in both dogs. Both dogs exhibited severe, weight-bearing lameness and had radiographic evidence of moderate to severe osteoarthritis of the proximal intertarsal joint. A closing wedge corrective osteotomy and partial tarsal arthrodesis were performed with a 2.7-mm locking compression plate and cancellous autograft.

Calcaneal morphology and alignment of the common calcaneal tendon seemed restored postoperatively. The implant was removed in one dog, while the other dog experienced no postoperative complications. Lameness improved in both dogs, although residual intermittent lameness after heavy exercise was reported by owners of both dogs 1 year after surgery.
