The band releases Mindfields in 1999 and goes on a major tour across the globe. After a few weeks in Europe the band travels to Japan for sold-out shows. After a short hiatus, Toto resumes their recording and release their first live album, Absolutely Live in 1993. The album features a cover of Weezer’s song Hash Pipe as a response to the band covering Africa on their recent tour. Toto's touring band includes drummer Lenny Castro and bassist Shannon Forrest along with keyboardist Shem Von Schroeck.

However, Toto reunited in 2010 to benefit the ALS Foundation. This was the first time that all the original Toto members appeared performing together for over 31 years. The original group was joined by keyboardist Greg Tambu who filled in for Paich and bassist David Hungate who filled in for Shem von Schroeck.
