The band released Mindfields in 1999 and embarks on a huge tour around the world. After a few months in Europe they travel to Japan where the shows are sold out. After a brief break, Toto resumes recording and begins recording their first live album, Absolutely Live in 1993 which includes an original cover of Weezer's song Hash Pipe in response to the band covering their hit Africa during a recent tour. Toto's touring lineup is completed by drummer Lenny Castro, bassist Shannon Forrest and keyboardist Shem von Schroeck.
