The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding its production facilities in the overseas market and was doing business in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an opportunity to grow for toilets and bidet seats, in contrast to its "base" markets in Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto recorded Toto words so that the next generation could be able to read them. Many words were replaced with foreign words. For example dui, which was Bengali for verandah was being used.
토지노 커뮤니티
Incorporated in 1917, Toto's early years mirrored Japan's economic growth. In the first half, Toto manufactured products to meet the demands for modern, brand new urban housing. To accomplish this, it used the first tunnel kiln in the nation to produce ceramics in a continuous flow. It also pioneered the use automation to control production, allowing for greater efficiency and consistency.
The company began expanding internationally in the late 1980s in order to profit from new markets and sales opportunities. The company created the Cera Trading Company to import and sell other products of other manufacturers to complement its own line of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. 토토 꽁머니 helped increase sales and expand the firm’s global market share.
In the 1990s, Toto began focusing on research and development of water-related appliances. It also upgraded its distribution system to better serve customers and improve profit. The company used the same approach of just-in-time in its supply chain management and sales program. This led to a higher level of customer satisfaction.
Toto continued to develop toilet technology. The latest toilet from the company features a powerful, environmentally-friendly tornado flush. The company also uses recycled water in its manufacturing process and has a green purchasing policy. In addition to toilets, Toto manufactures faucets and bathtubs and hand dryers that are more efficient in terms of energy consumption than standard models.
The first Toto museum opened in the year 2015. It has exhibitions on the most iconic products of Toto and their evolution, the group companies (all of which are made of ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing, and even bath units. In a separate gallery you can view Toto products that are sold across the world. The museum also has a bathroom that includes a WASHLET toilet and other toilet-related innovations.
Before forming Toto, members of the group did session work for many musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, drummer Jeff Porcaro, and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all played on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. They also performed on albums by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
You might expect a band with a name such as Asia to be a prog rock band, but it is actually a relatively straightforward rock band. The group began as a group and recorded two albums: 1979's self-titled debut and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The band has a varied musical background but their biggest success came in 1982 when they released Toto IV.
The album was a huge blockbuster but not without its difficulties. The record companies placed the band under pressure to release an album that was a success or they would rescind them. Luckily for Toto they delivered and they did it with the aid of the smash single "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is due to their previous experiences in the music industry, as the band members had been session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts prior the group. Their sonic trademark has become the standard for '80s music, influencing many contemporary artists.
The album opens up hard with songs such as Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to write great AOR tunes that slowly creep into your head. But the album also contains some more mellow, jazzy tracks, like The Little Things and Chinatown. 토토 꽁머니 closes with Great Expectations. This song is a mix of folk and the distorted AOR which could appear completely unnatural, but actually is very effective.
After Toto IV the band's fortunes started to plummet. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career and the band went through several drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in the wake of drug charges and the group continued to perform as a trio featuring Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
Despite the chaos, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation, which was not as successful as IV. However, the group was able to release a chart-topping album in 1992 with Kingdom of Desire. This album marked the conclusion of the original Toto lineup and was also the first album to feature a new singer, Simon Phillips.
Tours
The band has performed across the globe to an audience of millions, and has sold-out shows across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia and New Zealand. The band's repertoire is vast, and their collective catalog has accumulated more than a billion streams on streaming services worldwide. The band's music has influenced many generations of fans.
Steve Lukather and Joe Williams have developed a deep, colorful friendship that thrives professionally on a global basis. In 2018 the duo celebrated their 40 Tours Around The Sun with a hugely profitable global tour. The album that bears the same name reached #5 on Billboard 200. The band's new tour features their greatest hits and rarely live cuts, along with a selection of songs from Lukather and Williams their individual catalogs.
TOTO has a Net Promoter Score of 20. This score measures the likelihood that customers will recommend the brand. Promoters are those who praise the company and actively encourage others to make use of their products or services. Detractors are those that do not like the company and actively discourage others from using its products or services.
Join Toto for an unforgettable cultural experience in Asia. This highlights tour features luxurious accommodation, a cruise on an elegant cruise ship on Halong Bay and an exploration of Angkor Wat, a mystical temple that was once the home of the French called Indochine. You'll also stay a night in the charming town of Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage city that is a feast for the senses. This is a excursion you should not miss!
Line-up
Turn Back, the band's third studio album, was an ode to the classic sextet structure, and an even more consistent and powerful effort with a harder edge. The edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the growth of the band. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing proficiency was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. David Paich's keyboard work was as well more refined, more precise, and less derivative on previous recordings.
After touring to promote the album, the band recorded a live performance in Amsterdam which was released as a two-CD set called Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. A new studio album was released a few months later, and the group went on an extensive world tour in support of it. In this time keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich and Lukather started searching through old demos and tapes in search of a new record featuring songs that were never recorded before. It was completed as a double album titled Then & Now in 2001. It was the first album by the band not to feature one single track with the word "A" in its title. It also included one previously unreleased track, "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth record, Old Is New was a commercial failure and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis, which restricted his singing capabilities. In addition, Hungate returned to Nashville and drummer Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.
Downes and the other original members of Asia - Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened an event in England in early 2006 to discuss the possibility of reforming the band. This lineup, minus Howe (who was working with Yes at the time) was eventually referred to as Toto XIV and toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also featured a guest appearance by singer Michael McDonald, and a backing singer named Mabvuto Carpenter.
