We additionally established an open-access database named MEILAM for easy access to Ds insertional mutations. Overall, our results have provided an efficient workflow for TE insertion identification and rich sequence-indexed mutant resources for maize functional genomic studies.
Exposed endoscopic full-thickness resection (Eo-EFTR) is emerging as a promising minimally invasive alternative to surgery for the treatment of deep gastric submucosal tumors (G-SMTs). However, literature concerning this subject is heterogeneous and data mostly come from relatively small retrospective studies.

We aimed to perform a pooled analysis of published data with regard to gastric Eo-EFTR, providing a pooled estimate of technical and clinical outcomes.

The protocol was registered in PROSPERO. MEDLINE and EMBASE databases were searched for studies published from 1998 to 2020. The primary outcomes were complete resection and surgical conversion rates. The secondary outcomes were overall and selected major adverse events rates. The Forest plots on primary and secondary endpoints were produced based on fixed and random effect models.

Nineteen studies including 952 Eo-EFTR-treated G-SMTs were included. The pooled estimate of the complete resection rate and surgical conversion rates was 99.3% and 0.09%, respectively. The pooled estimate of overall major adverse events, delayed bleeding, delayed perforation and peritonitis, abdominal abscess and/or abdominal infection was 0.29%, 0.14%, 0.14%, and 0.12%, respectively.

Gastric Eo-EFTR has a high rate of complete resection with a low surgical conversion rate. It appears to be relatively safe and might represent a non-inferior minimally invasive alternative to surgery in selected cases.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has had a dramatic impact on cancer diagnosis and treatment. Most patients newly diagnosed with digestive system cancer are aged 65 and over.

We performed a retrospective, observational, multicentre cohort study based on prospectively collected electronic health records. link2 All adults aged 65 or over and having been newly treated for a digestive system cancer between January 2018 until August 2020 were enroled.

Data on 7882 patients were analysed. The first COVID-19 lockdown period led to a 42.4% decrease in newly treated digestive system cancers, and the post-lockdown period was associated with a 17% decrease. The decrease in newly treated digestive system cancer did not differ as a function of age, sex, comorbidities, primary tumour site, and disease stage. The proportion of patients admitted to an emergency department increased during the lockdown period. We do not observe a higher 3-month mortality rate in 2020, relative to the corresponding calendar periods in 2018 and 2019.

To avoid a decrease in newly treated cancers during future lockdown periods, access to healthcare will have to be modified. Although 3-month mortality did not increase in any of the patient subgroups, the 2020 cohort must be followed up for long-term mortality.

Timely discriminating biliary atresia (BA) from other causes of cholestasis is important but challenging.

To develop a useful diagnostic nomogram and a simplified scoring system to diagnosing BA.

All medical records of the patients who were consecutively admitted to our institution with cholestasis from March 2016 to December 2020 were retrospectively searched. The patients were allocated to the derivation cohort (n=343) and the validation cohort (n=246). Multivariable logistic regression models were used to construct the nomogram. The nomogram was validated in both cohorts. The simplified risk score was derived from the nomogram.

The nomogram was constructed based on presence of clay stool, gallbladder length, gallbladder emptying index, shear wave elastography value, and gamma-glutamyl transferase level. This model showed good calibration and discrimination ability, with the C-index of 0.968 (95% CI 0.951-0.984). The discriminating ability is most prominent in the 61-90 days group, with AUC of 0.982 (95% CI 0.955-1.000). The simplified risk score identified most patients with very high or low risk of BA, and was capable of exempting 64.3% non-BA patients from intraoperative cholangiogram procedure.

This novel diagnostic nomogram had good discrimination and calibration abilities. The simplified scoring system showed significant clinical utility.

The prevalence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and childhood obesity are increasing, and youth with ASD are at an increased risk of obesity compared to typically developing youth. Specific obesity risk factors in adolescents with ASD remain poorly understood.

This study examined correlates of obesity among adolescents with and without ASD using extant 2017-2018 National Survey of Children's Health (NSCH) data.

This cross-sectional study examined the co-occurrence of obesity among US adolescents with ASD aged 10-17 years compared to those without ASD, adjusting for sociodemographic characteristics, co-occurring conditions, and relevant covariates, using 2017-2018 NSCH data. Multiple logistic regression was used to compare the odds of obesity among children with mild ASD, moderate/severe ASD, and without ASD.

Odds of obesity were higher in adolescents with ASD compared to adolescents without ASD (cOR 1.9, CI 1.3-2.7). In the adjusted model, the odds of obesity were not significantly higher in those wir household income are needed. Further research is needed to examine additional factors associated with obesity in adolescents with ASD, including family, community, organizational, and policy factors. Our understanding of sex differences in subclinical atherosclerosis and plaque composition and characteristics have greatly improved with the use of coronary computed tomography (CCTA) over the past years. CCTA has emerged as an important frontline diagnostic test for women, especially as we continue to understand the impact of non-obstructive atherosclerosis as well as diffuse, high risk plaque as precursors of acute cardiac events in women. Based on its ability to identify complex plaque morphology such as low attenuation plaque, high risk non calcified plaque, positive remodeling, fibrous cap, CCTA can be used to assess plaque characteristics. CCTA can avoid false positive of other imaging studies, if included earlier in assessment of ischemic symptoms. link3 In the contemporary clinical setting, CCTA will prove useful in further understanding and managing cardiovascular disease in women and those without traditional obstructive coronary disease.
Emerging evidence suggests that exercise interventions may improve sexual dysfunction, one of the most common and distressing long-term adverse effects of cancer treatment.

The aim of this systematic review is to provide an overview of the effects of exercise on sexual dysfunction in prostate cancer patients.

A systematic review was conducted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses statement. The systematic literature search was performed on 13th July 2021 using CINAHL, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Embase, Medline and Web of Science. Studies were included if they were randomized controlled trials (RCTs) assessing sexual function in prostate cancer patients conducting an exercise intervention alone or in combination with other supportive interventions. The methodological quality was assessed using the Physiotherapy Education Database Score and Jadad scale. Outcomes were reported as between-group differences. Intragroup differences were s involving sexual dyfunction as a primary outcome and more comprehensive assessment tools are needed to confirm the rehabilitative and preventive effects of exercise on sexual dysfunction in prostate cancer patients. While there is an increasing burden of chronic postoperative opioid use and opioid abuse in the United States, opioid use following inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) surgery has not been well described.

Describe postoperative opioid use following IPP surgery.

Seventy-four consecutive patients undergoing IPP implantation by a single surgeon were enrolled. Self-reported diaries tracked the type and amount of medication taken for 2 weeks following IPP surgery. High opioid consumers were defined as those consuming more than the median amount (10 mg) of opioids during the first 2 weeks postoperatively. Multivariate analyses were performed using stepwise backward elimination.

Quantification of opioid use postoperatively and factors related to high opioid use.

Fifty-six patients were included after 7 were excluded for preoperative opioid use and 11 were excluded for inability to contact. Median age was 67.5. Devices used were Boston Scientific (41, 73%) and Coloplast (15, 27%). All patients received localsting that we can reduce or replace the amount of opioids that are prescribed. J Sex Med 2021;XXXXX-XXX.Pruritus associated with chronic kidney disease is a frequent and disabling symptom in patients with severe chronic kidney disease treated by dialysis. It is associated with a poor quality of life, an increased risk of comorbidities and even mortality. Nevertheless, its prevalence is underestimated by nephrologists. The pathophysiology of pruritus associated with chronic kidney disease is not well understood, but several mechanisms seem to contribute to its occurrence accumulation and skin deposition of uremic toxins, peripheral neuropathy causing an activation of the pruritogenic cowhage pathway, chronic microinflammation, opioid imbalance, and kidney disease-related skin xerosis. Optimization of the treatment of chronic kidney disease treatment, of dialysis parameters, and general skin care measures should always be performed prior to the introduction of systemic therapy targeting one or more of these mechanisms. The available therapeutic trials remain mostly at high risk of bias, with small patient numbers. Gabapentinoids are the molecules recommended as first-line therapy. Peripheral opioid agonists could find a place of choice in the treatment of pruritus associated with chronic kidney disease and will soon be available in France. The low level of evidence for the other molecules does not currently allow us to specify a second-line treatment for this condition.
