1. Lack of student engagement, resulting in a drop in scores
Why it's a problem:
Typically, students at this school aren't engaged in classroom material and discussions. Some teachers make learning fun. But many kids are bored during class and don't learn or take in information. This leads to a drop in test scores. Even with incentives, such as the 4.0 GPA and Perfect Attendance parties, a lot of Dallas Ranch's middle schoolers seem not to care about school and just come to hang out with friends and/or cause drama.
How we can solve this:
2. Fights
Why it's a problem:
Multiple fights break out between students regularly at this school. This is a problem because students are constantly choosing violence instead of solving issues in an appropriate and mature manner. Obviously, kids are getting hurt during these fights. Aside from that, some students leave their classrooms to record fights. Because of constant violence, threats of harm, and even more extreme threats like bombs and school shooting, people don't feel safe at Dallas Ranch.
