The process of adding more BMW keys is relatively easy for those living in the St Louis area. The most advanced key fob, called the Display Key, has a touchscreen with a color display and controls features like climate control and preconditioning. It can also be used for remote-controlled parking.

Keyless entry via app

A BMW Digital Key allows you to remotely unlock your car, so you don't require the physical key in your possession. The key is stored in the app, which can be shared with up to five of your friends and family members (the recipients must also have a compatible phone). If you wish to start your car remotely you can simply click a button in the app and the engine will start to run.

You can share your Digital Key Plus even with those who don't have an iPhone or BMW Connected Drive Account. You can also assign "Restricted functions" which limit the maximum speed and volume of the radio. All 2021 BMW models are compatible with Digital Key Plus. You can connect it to any iPhone or Android device. The first generation of the system was only compatible with Apple devices, however the latest version now supports Google and Samsung products as well.

Reliable security
