Prosthetic Therapy associated with Nose Septal Trouble with Magnetic field Kept Sinus Septal Prosthesis.
The conclusion indicates that the CPA of the main food industries associations in the country is changing sharply to respond to criticisms of the commercial determinants of health. In tropical reservoirs, limnological factors are responsible for changes in plankton and vary at temporal and vertical scales. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of temporal and vertical variation of the water column on phytoplankton and zooplankton dynamics in two tropical reservoirs (mesotrophic and supereutrophic) in Northeastern Brazil. Monthly collections from three depths in the limnetic region of the reservoirs were performed to analyze the phytoplankton, zooplankton, and limnological variables. The temporal and vertical variation of the physical and chemical water variables, including their interactions, influenced the phytoplankton and zooplankton community. In the supereutrophic reservoir, decreased nitrogen and increased phosphorus and temperature contributed to the dominance of Microcystis panniformis Komárek, Komárková-Legnerová, Sant'Anna, M.T.P.Azevedo & P.A.C.Senna. Conversely, Planktothrix agardhii (Gomont) Anagnostidis & Komárek was dominant under high nitrogen concentrations and low temperatures. In the mesotrophic reservoir, the desmids were dominant and showed a positive relationship with nitrogen. Copepoda Calanoida was dominant and correlated to phytoplankton in both reservoirs. The results showed that nitrogen forms directly influenced phytoplankton, and the importance of nitrogen for management strategies of tropical reservoirs, as well as demonstrated the ability of Calanoida to adapt to different trophic conditions and phytoplankton compositions.Alternaria alternata causes leaf spot and black rot diseases in leaves and grapes of grapevines, respectively, and leads to huge economic losses in table grapes production. As natural antifungal agents, essential oils (EOs), which are generally recognized as safe substances, shows strong antifungal activity against fungal phytopathogens. The aim of this study was to determine the chemical composition of Eucalyptus staigeriana EO and its in vitro and in vivo effects against A. alternata. The major compounds of E. staigeriana EO were citral (34.32%, of which 21.83% geranial and 12.49% neral), limonene (20.60%) and 1,8-cineole (12.33%). E. staigeriana EO exhibited the highest inhibitory activity on mycelial growth and conidial germination at 1 µL mL-1. Moreover, the EO was able to reduce the incidence and severity of leaf spot disease in leaves and black rot disease in table grapes caused by A. alternata. These results represent a possible alternative to reduce the use of synthetic molecules for the control of diseases in postharvest of table grapes and in vineyard.Recent years have seen a significant increase in the number of patents related to products and/or processes from aquatic organisms. Therefore, this paper aims to identify patent documents related to fishery resources available in the Brazilian patent system of the National Institute of Industrial Property. The research involved patents deposited/provided between 1999 and 2019, with the search in the system occurring through the descriptors fish(s), mollusk(s), crustacean(s), and algae(s). A total of 363 records were found, where the group of fish presented the highest representation (40%), followed by algae (35%), crustaceans (14%), and mollusks (10%). The apex of 34 patent applications was found in the year 2011. Moreover, the results showed that the inventions registered are directed mainly to food, drugs, biocides, cosmetics, cultivation, processing and beneficiation, water treatment, patents for sustainable technologies (green patents), and biotechnology. Brazil holds most patent applications, followed by the United States of America (USA), which focuses its patent applications mainly on algae and fish. Considering the Brazilian biodiversity and the country's technological development in recent years, Brazil needs to expand its technological autonomy and competitive capacity in the aquaculture and fisheries sector, mainly through the strengthening of R&D and innovation activities.
Vertical transmission of SARS-CoV-2 from the infected mother to the newborn is still uncertain and the definitive answer is under evaluation.

of this review was to evaluate the evidence available in the literature regarding whether the pregnant woman infected by SARS-CoV-2 represents a potential risk of vertical transmission to the fetus and/or newborn.

A scoping review was performed using Science Direct, PubMed, and Cochrane library to search for research papers.

published studies of pregnant mothers with COVID-19, with perinatal outcomes reported in the first 72 hours after birth.

569 studies were found; 65 of them were repeated. Therefore, 504 were evaluated, of which 460 were excluded. Finally, 42 research papers that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed. 334 pregnant women with COVID-19 and 335 new borns were described; of which 20 presented SARS-CoV-2 infection confirmed by Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) from nasopharyngeal swab. Of these, 18 were identified in the first 48 hours after birth and 12 presented with symptoms. The most frequent route of delivery was cesarean section in 76.2%, and the gestational age range of the newborns was between 26 and 40 weeks. In 86.8% of the cases, mother-child pairs were isolated.

Vertical transmission of COVID-19 is possible, although infrequent. Prospective studies are required to establish the possibility of in utero maternal- fetal transmission and its consequences.

This has led to numerous questions regarding the benefits and risks that may arise from its implementation. Food restriction implies the potential deficiency of several nutrients, establishing some of them as critical for this period of development and rapid growth, so the safety of vegetarian diets has not been fully established worldwide. The main critical nutrients are iron, zinc, calcium, vitamin B12, and omega-3 fatty acids. The groups most at risk of nutritional deficiencies are infants, adolescents, more restrictive vegetarian options, and those who do not have adequate professional nutritional counseling. Therefore, vegetarian diets should be strictly supervi sed. Scientific societies such as the American, Canadian, Italian, and British nutrition societies recog nize vegetarian diets as healthy in the pediatric age as long as they are supervised by qualified health professionals. However, there are others that do not support it as the French one, while the Spanish one supports it with restrictions in the infant period. The objective of this publication is to describe potential nutritional deficiencies and to provide recommendations to follow a balanced and safe ve getarian diet in the pediatric population according to the available information, paying attention to the limitations that we may have in the implementation of this diet in our population, especially in critical stages such as infants and adolescents.
Inverted urothelial papilloma is a very rare neoplasm in the pediatric population. Because of the low incidence of cases and the reports of atypical components, the management and follow-up plan is not standardized.

To report a case of inverted papilloma in a female adolescent and to review the diagnostic approach, management, and follow-up plan for this entity.

We reported a case of inverted papilloma as an incidental finding of a polypoid lesion on bladder ultrasound in a 13-year-old adolescent. Endoscopic resection was performed, and the histopathological analysis was compatible with inverted urothelial papilloma. The patient remains asymptomatic, with no evidence of recurrence after 3 years of ultrasound follow-up.

This case supports the benign beha vior of inverted papilloma, highlighting the importance of a correct histopathological diagnosis for the decision to carry out a non-invasive ultrasound follow-up.

Congenital disorders of glycosylation (CDGs) are a group of inborn errors of glycan metabolism with multi-systemic manifestations. More than 100 different types of CDGs have been reported. The form involving the asparagine-linked glycosylation 13 (ALG13) gene is an uncommon X-linked form of these pathologies.

To describe the clinical features in one patient with ALG13-CDG and to compare them with previously reported cases.

A 11-years-old boy, child of consangui neous parents, with hypotonia, severe developmental delay, intellectual disability, feeding difficulties, congenital heart disease (patent ductus arteriosus and mitral regurgitation), without epilepsy or coa gulation disorders. The metabolic screening showed unclear results, including N-glycosylation stu dies in plasma that were normal. Therefore, whole-exome sequencing (WES) was performed which identified a previously unreported variant in the ALG13 gene c.428C > T (p.P143L) in hemizygous state; confirmed by Sanger sequencing. His mother was a carrier of the same variant.

This is the first report of a Colombian patient with ALG13-CDG without epilepsy. The findings in this patient broaden the phenotypic spectrum of ALG13-CDG known to date and support that N- glycosylation disorders may be present in normal biochemical analysis. DMAMCL inhibitor WES has become a cost- effective technique that allows the identification of disease-causing mutations in diseases with a broad phenotypic and genotypic spectrum.

Idiopathic sudden hearing loss (SHL) is a relatively frequent entity in the adult population with unk nown cause in most cases. There are few studies in pediatric age and its diagnosis and management are a challenge for health professionals.

To relate macrolide therapy as a causal agent of sudden hearing loss in pediatric patients.

3-year-old girl with no relevant pathological history, with normal neonatal hearing screening and age-appropriate language development. She consulted due to an upper airway infectious process, treated on an outpatient basis with azithromycin for 3 days. One week later, she developed bilateral hearing loss, confirmed with Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials (BAEP), and started treatment with oral methylprednisolone and intratympanic corticosteroids. During treatment, imaging, laboratory, and genetic studies were performed, ruling out other causes of SHL, so the recent use of macrolides was considered as a possible diagnosis. As no clinical improvement was observed 6 weeks after the treatment, confirmed by the absence of response in the steady-state auditory evoked potentials and BAEP, simultaneous bilateral cochlear implant surgery was carried out.
