App-based keyless entry

A BMW Digital Key allows you to remotely unlock your car, meaning you don't have to carry the physical key with you. The key is stored in the app, which can be shared with up to five friends and family members (the recipients must also have a compatible phone). If you want to start your car remotely you can simply press a button on the app and the engine will begin to run.

When you're ready for driving you can unlock your vehicle by bringing your phone to the door handle. The phone will be recognized and the doors will unlock. The vehicle can be locked by bringing the smartphone up to the door's handle like you would with a regular key.

The BMW smart key allows you to manage your parking from a distance, which is very useful when parking lots are packed. The app can be used to sound your car's horn when your BMW is within range. This makes it simple to find your car in an area that is crowded and is a fantastic security feature that will prevent collisions.

Secure and reliable
