More significantly, discovery of novel results in cancer genomic studies is enabled through the advanced features in MutScape. MutScape is freely available on GitHub, at https//github.com/anitalu724/MutScape.Intra-tumor heterogeneity is a phenomenon in which mutation profiles differ from cell to cell within the same tumor and is observed in almost all tumors. Understanding intra-tumor heterogeneity is essential from the clinical perspective. Numerous methods have been developed to predict this phenomenon based on variant allele frequency. Among the methods, CloneSig models the variant allele frequency and mutation signatures simultaneously and provides an accurate clone decomposition. However, this method has limitations in terms of clone number selection and modeling. We propose SigTracer, a novel hierarchical Bayesian approach for analyzing intra-tumor heterogeneity based on mutation signatures to tackle these issues. We show that SigTracer predicts more reasonable clone decompositions than the existing methods against artificial data that mimic cancer genomes. We applied SigTracer to whole-genome sequences of blood cancer samples. The results were consistent with past findings that single base substitutions caused by a specific signature (previously reported as SBS9) related to the activation-induced cytidine deaminase intensively lie within immunoglobulin-coding regions for chronic lymphocytic leukemia samples. Furthermore, we showed that this signature mutates regions responsible for cell-cell adhesion. Accurate assignments of mutations to signatures by SigTracer can provide novel insights into signature origins and mutational processes.Objective To measure the impact of restrictions due to COVID on the proportion of matches won at home, away and draw in professional soccer and rugby union. Materials and Methods Two samples of professional soccer and rugby union matches were collected from 2012-13 to 2020-21 seasons. Results The proportion of away matches won between the 2012-13 and 2020-21 seasons increased significantly from 28.5 ± 1.2% to 32.5 ± 1.5% in soccer and from 38.0 ± 3.6% to 42.8 ± 5.0% in rugby union. In Premiership Rugby championship, the victory percentage at home dropped from 55.8 ± 3.1% when tifosi were present to 45.8 ± 12.8% when they were not. Conclusion The home advantage was drastically reduced in empty stadiums for several European soccer and rugby union professional championships. People with Diabetes Mellitus are at high risk of encountering COVID-19 infection and are more vulnerable to the negative repercussions of this infection. In this study we aimed to explore the impact of COVID-19 related home confinement measures on physical activity, dietary habits, body weight and perceived glycemic control of adults with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) in Qatar.

A cross sectional web-based survey was conducted between January and February 2021 targeting adults ≥18 years with T2DM.

Over 40% of the participants reported unhealthy dietary changes. We found a significant increase in the sitting/reclining, and screen times. One third of the participants reported weight gain, while one fifth reported poorer glycemic control since the start of home confinement measures. We found that reporting at least one unhealthy dietary change (p<0.001) and being a female (p=0.002) were significantly associated with reporting greater weight gain. Participants who reported five unhealthy dietary behaviours were more than seven times more likely to perceive poorer glycemic control during home confinement measures compared to those who did not report any unhealthy changes (OR 7.27, 95%CI 1.60-33.5, p=0.011).

Adults with T2DM experienced adverse lifestyle changes during COVID-19 related home confinement measures. Further research is needed to investigate the persistence of such changes in the post pandemic era.

Adolescent pregnancy is a major health problem that is significantly associated with adverse impacts on the health of both teenage mothers and their newborns. This study was conducted to evaluate the opinions of midwifery students on adolescent pregnancy.

The participants were selected using a purposeful sampling method. Thirty-seven students studying at the final year of the midwifery department were interviewed in the study in Erzurum, Turkey, in 2018. The interviews were analyzed by the phenomenological qualitative method.

Students thought that adolescent pregnancy was a social problem in addition to its maternal and fetal risks. The students indicated that adolescent pregnancy was perceived as normal in a family in which cultural values were important (especially in those families that live in the Eastern and South-Eastern regions). Only one student attracted attention to the effect of the media in this respect. The students stated that adolescent pregnancy was a social problem, and a multidisciplinary approach was required for its solution.

Our qualitative study provides insight into the role of adolescent pregnancy in Turkey. Participants expressed the idea that increasing the education level of girls and raising awareness among mothers may be an effective solution to the problem.
