A systematic review and meta-analysis was carried out searching electronic databases for articles published between January 2007 and September 2020 reporting the prevalence estimates of vaccine HPV (vHPV) types in women who had received one or more doses of quadrivalent or bivalent vaccines. This systematic review was based on standard systematic review guidelines and the meta-analysis was performed by pooling the HPV vaccine type prevalence data with 95% confidence interval (CI) among 16,929 young women who had received the prophylactic HPV vaccines before the age of 27 years. The overall pooled prevalence of vHPV types was.0.04 (95% CI 0.02, 0.05). Through retrospective chart review, musicogenic epilepsy patients were identified. Among 16 musicogenic epilepsy patients, nine underwent autoantibody evaluations and all had high-titer glutamic acid decarboxylase 65-immunoglobulin G (GAD65-IgG; >20 nmol·L-1 , serum, normal ≤ .02 nmol·L-1 , eight women). Median GAD65-IgG serum titer was 294 nmol·L-1 (20.3-3005 nmol·L-1 ), and median cerebrospinal fluid titer (n = 4) was 14.7 nmol·L-1 . All patients had temporal lobe epilepsy, and bitemporal epileptiform abnormalities were common. Right temporal lobe seizures were most frequently captured when seizures were induced by music on electroencephalogram (3/4; 75%). Intravenous (IV) methylprednisolone and/or IV Ig (IVIG) was utilized in four patients, with one having greater than 50% reduction. Rituximab (n = 2) and mycophenolate (n = 1) were ineffective. Two patients underwent right temporal lobe resections but continued to have seizures. Vagus nerve stimulation was effective at reducing seizures in one patient by 50%, and an additional patient was seizure-free by avoiding provoking music. Right temporal lobe epilepsy was more common among patients with musicogenic epilepsy when compared to nonmusicogenic GAD65 epilepsies (n = 71, 89% vs. 47%, p = .03). GAD65-IgG should be tested in patients with musicogenic epilepsy, given implications for management and screening for comorbid autoimmune conditions.
Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM) is a rare chronic B-cell lymphoma. Familial clustering of WM has been observed over the years. However, little is known about the contribution of inherited genetic variants to familial WM cases.

The authors performed whole exome sequencing (WES) of germline DNA samples from twins, one diagnosed with WM and the other diagnosed with immunoglobulin M monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance, and their healthy siblings. Bioinformatics analysis of public biological databases was used to identify the most relevant familial WM candidate from WES. Transcript expression and protein levels of the familial WM candidate were evaluated in the WM patient and 2 unaffected members of the kindred.

Among the 10 shared candidate mutations in the twins, the authors identified a novel heterozygous germline mutation in four and a half LIM domains protein 2 (FHL2; c.G226A, p.V76M) as a familial WM-associated mutation. Patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) receiving intensive chemotherapy face a life-threatening illness, isolating hospitalization, and substantial physical and psychological symptoms. However, data are limited regarding risk factors of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms in this population.

The authors conducted a secondary analysis of data from 160 patients with high-risk AML who were enrolled in a supportive care trial. The PTSD Checklist-Civilian Version was used to assess PTSD symptoms at 1 month after AML diagnosis. The Brief COPE and the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Leukemia were to assess coping and quality of life (QOL), respectively. In addition, multivariate regression models were constructed to assess the relation between PTSD symptoms and baseline sociodemographic factors, coping, and QOL.

Twenty-eight percent of patients reported PTSD symptoms, describing high rates of intrusion, avoidance, and hypervigiliance. Baseline sociodemographic factors significantly associs, and extent of QOL decline during hospitalization emerge as important risk factors for PTSD, underscoring the need for supportive oncology interventions to reduce the risk of PTSD in this population.Larval attachment organs (LAOs) are unicellular or multicellular organs that allow larvae to adhere to a substrate before yolk-sac absorption and the free-swimming stage. This study documents the LAO of tropical gar, Atractosteus tropicus, using a combination of scanning electron microscopy and light microscopy. It is shown that the LAO of A. tropicus is a super-organ surrounded by a wall and containing at its centre many smaller multicellular organ units, each comprised of attachment and support cells. Attachment cells are secretory and house large vacuoles filled with a glycoprotein. At hatching, the super-organ is well developed and occupies almost the entire anteroventral surface of the head. During subsequent development, the smaller individual units begin to regress, until at 6 days post-hatching the super-organ and its individual units are no longer visible.
