The majority of subjects were male, age > 40 years old, bataknese, heavy smoker, with Adenocarcinoma. Almost all the subjects showed the expression of exon 2 of RAS protein in PCR examinations. However, Sequencing analysis using Bioedit Software, BLASTs and Finch T showed GGT GGC as protein base 219-224 which represented 12th and 13th Codon 12 and 13. The results interpreted there was no mutations of exon 2 of KRAS in North Sumatera Population.
The absence of KRAS mutation in exon 2 in several ethnics in North Sumatera populations was not the main factors of lung cancer.

Epilepsy is a brain disorder characterised by unpredictable and excessive nerve cell activity that causes epileptic seizures. Epileptic seizures are more common in children and adolescents than in elderly population. Electroencephalography (EEG) is a diagram of electrical activity of the brain and it is used as a method of choice for diagnosing epilepsy. Despite the accurate EEG tracing of electrical activity in the brain, the disadvantage of this type of analysing is the doctor's skill to read the EEG correctly.
The aim of this study was ro represents further research presented in our pevious works with wavelet based EEG analysis after masuring a multiresolution as relation between time and frequency resolution.
Signal database set consist of 51 patients a) healthy patient; b) 50 patients with a diagnosis of epilepsy. SC79 cell line Additional characteristics of the analysed data a) 19 signals-channels of EEG, b) Duration - 20 s or 2688 samples and. Nowadays, we can find dozens of EEG signal analysis papers using mathematical approach and with a focus on identification of epilepsy.
This paper represents some results relating to the analysis of EEG in children using Wavelet Transform (WT). The signals was collected and analysed at the Department of neuropediatrics, Pediatric Clinic at the University Clinical Center, University of Sarajevo.
Using this approach it is possible to clearly differentiate patients with a diagnosis of epilepsy from healthy ones.

Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most common entrapment neuropathy in upper limbs. It affects women more frequently than men. CTS can be caused by many different systemic diseases and local mechanical conditions and it had signs and symptoms due to compression of median nerve at the carpal tunnel in wrist.
The present study aims to study whether Transthyretin (TTR) gene polymorphisms have association with the development of FCTS.
Sixty-four patients suffering from CTS were enrolled in this controlled cross sectional study. For all, nerve conduction study was performed to prove the diagnosis of CTS and to classify its severity. The mean age of all patients was 44.9±7.8 years, 89.1 % were female, 37.5 % had mild type CTS and 40.7 % had right side CTS. 3 mL of peripheral blood was collected from all patients which is a labeled (EDTA) tube at -20 C° for DNA extraction to identify a particular SNP (rs28933979; 148G/A; V50M) that locates at position chr1831592974 on the exon-2 region which is reported to be associated to the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Exon-2 of TTR gene was amplified using the PCR technique and subjected to be tested for presence of SNP by Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (RFLP) assay.
According to genetic variation, the study cannot discover any TTR gene polymorphism that back to FCTS.

Reducing the maternal and neonatal mortality rate are the predominant goals of achieving sustainable development for which it is important to ensure adequate health workforce, especially pediatric professionals at all levels of health care. Recent trends reveal a significant decline in the number of doctors opting for pediatrics specialization.
This study was carried out to explore the career preferences of the undergraduate medical students and factors influencing career choice.
This cross sectional study was carried out among 362 undergraduate medical students studying in prefinal and final year during a period of three months. A self administered questionnaire was used to obtain information regarding the career preferences and factors influencing the decision making. Attitudes regarding career choice was assessed using Likert scale and later recoded into binomial variables. Statistical analysis was carried out using SPSS software.
Majority of the participants were females (61.8%). The individual choice of specialty revealed that 12.2% of the males and 18.5% of the females wanted to take up pediatrics as their first career choice while 5.5% of the males and 7.7% of the females had pediatrics as their second choice. Overall, more females preferred pediatrics as a career choice compared to the males. The observed difference was statistically significant (p<0.0001).
Adequate motivation, driven with passion for patient care can be inculcated at the young age and will go a long way in not only addressing the pediatric needs of the society, but also improve health indicators and sustainable development of the country.

Development of medical informatics started in the fifties of the 20th century. In the period after Second World War USA was the leading country in the field of Computer science and the leader in using the first computers in medicine and healthcare services. The development of information and communication technologies (ICT) during the last two decades of 20th century was particularly important for development of medical informatics, with great influence of Internet by medical professionals at every level of health care system. Comprehensive and essential contents on medical informatics, but also the aspects nurtured by the main "schools of Medical informatics" - Anglo-Saxon (Abbot, Anderson, etc.), French (Gremy, Remond, etc.), German (Reichhertz). et al.), American (Collen, Green, et al.), Middle and East Europe (Dezelic, Masic, Zvarova, Naszlady, Mihalas, eg 45 years of existence, including important facts about the influential medical informatics experts. Finally, author shortly described important facts about history of development of Health informatics in Bosnia and Herzegovina and South-Eastern Europe, including facts about his activities during long period of his participation in IMIA General Assembly and EFMI Council. There he was very actively involved in a lot of activities, including organization of 22nd MIE Conference in Sarajevo in 2009.This paper analyzes the time-frequency spillover effects between food and crude oil markets, two particularly important commodity markets, under the impact of the pandemic. Using the BK frequency domain spillover index and the rolling window method, we explore the spillover effects between the food and crude oil markets under the influence of COVID-19, and compare the changes of spillover effects in each market before and during the pandemic. Based the network connectedness method and the Bayesian structural time series method, we further reveal the changes of the pairwise spillover effects between markets on different time scales. Our study shows that the food-oil market system has the strongest spillover effect in the short term, and the spillovers during the pandemic are significantly weaker than that under the financial crisis. In addition, the pandemic has significantly increased the impact of corn on the crude oil market, but reduced its spillovers on soybeans and rice. Finally, during the COVID-19 period, the wheat market is likely to receive more spillovers from other markets, particularly corn and soybeans. These findings are of great significance for market participants with different horizons to understand the spillover effects of food and oil markets under the impact of the pandemic and to avoid the risk transmission across markets or assets. In France, the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing lockdown measures have created unprecedented circumstances that increase stress and anxiety, thus leading individuals experiencing home confinement to adopt various coping strategies that contribute to building resilience. Given the novelty and recency of the COVID-19 lockdown, factors of coping and resilience in this specific context of home confinement remain undefined. Based on some recent observations, we conducted a study on a convenience sample in France (N = 809) in order to investigate two potential factors of lockdown resilience and coping social position and household affordances, while also exploring some complementary hypotheses based on the literature. Social position and household affordances were identified as significant predictors of lockdown coping and resilience, and low social position was found to coincide with less social support coping strategies. Results are discussed in relation to the theory and the limits identified in this study. Recommendations are made for potential second waves of COVID-19 spread or similar pandemics in the future.
Right hemisphere brain damage (RHD) commonly causes pragmatic language disorders that are apparent in discourse production. Specific characteristics and approaches to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of these disorders are not well-defined. RHDBank, a shared database of multimedia interactions for the study of communication using discourse, was created to address these gaps. The database, materials, and related analysis programs are free resources to clinicians, researchers, educators, and students.
A standard discourse protocol was developed to elicit multiple types of discourse free speech, conversation, picture description, storytelling, procedural discourse, and question-asking. Testing included measures of cognition, unilateral neglect, and communicative participation. Language samples were video-recorded and transcribed in CHAT format. Currently, the database includes 24 adults with RHD and 24 controls.
Illustrative analyses show how RHDBank can facilitate research using micro- and macrolinguistic discourse analysis techniques both within this population and across populations. Educational resources, such as the Grand Rounds tutorial, were developed using case studies from the database.
RHDBank is a shared database of resources that can facilitate educational and research efforts to address the gaps in knowledge about RHD communication and improve the clinical management of individuals with RHD.
