The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding its production facilities overseas and operating in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the People's Republic of China. The company saw North America as a growth market for Washlet bidet seats and toilets, in contrast to its "base" markets of Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto was recording Toto words to ensure that the next generation could comprehend the words. However, many of the words were replaced with foreign ones, such as dui from Bengali for verandah.
Origins
Incorporated in 1917, Toto's early years mirrored Japan's economic growth. In 토토사이트 모음 , Toto produced goods to meet the demand for modern, brand new urban housing. To achieve this, it used the first tunnel kiln in the nation to make ceramics in a continuous flow. It also pioneered the use of automation for production control, which allows for greater efficiency and consistency.
The company began expanding its operations overseas in the late 1980s in order to take advantage of new markets and sales opportunities. The company established the Cera Trading Company to import and distribute other products of other manufacturers in order to enhance its own line of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped to increase sales and expand the market share of the company globally.
In the 1990s, Toto had shifted its emphasis on research and development of household appliances that use water. It also upgraded its distribution system to better serve the needs of its customers and to increase profits. The company employed the same just-in-time approach to its supply chain management as well as sales program. This led to a higher level customer satisfaction.
Toto continues to invent toilet technology. The latest toilet from the company features a strong, eco-friendly tornado flush. The company also makes use of recycled water in its production process and has a green purchasing policy. Apart from toilets, Toto manufactures faucets and bathtubs and hand dryers that are more efficient in terms of energy consumption than standard models.
The first Toto museum opened in 2015. It has exhibitions on Toto's most famous products and their evolution, the group companies (all of which are made from ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing and other products like bath units. In a separate gallery you will find Toto products sold all over. The museum even has a bathroom that features a WASHLET toilet and other toilet-related innovations.
Before forming Toto, members of the band did sessions for various musicians. Boz Scaggs' album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich and guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather as well as drummers Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. They also performed on albums by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
You might expect a band with a name such as Asia to be a prog band however, it's actually a fairly straight forward rock band. The band was initially four-piece, and released two albums that were self-titled in 1979 and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. But even though the band have a variety of musical backgrounds, their biggest success was achieved in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a major blockbuster, however it did not come without its share of issues. Record companies put the band on the place with the directive "give us a hit record or we'll drop you" and the pressure was on them to meet the deadline. Luckily for Toto, they did, with the assistance of the smash single "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery owes a lot to their previous experiences, as the band members had been session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts prior the group. Their sonic signature has since become the standard for pop music from the 1980s, and has influenced many contemporary artists.
This album starts off hard with tracks like Running Out of Time and Unknown Soldier showcasing the bands ability to write great AOR songs that slowly build their hooks into your mind. The album also includes some more jazzy, slower tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. The album closes with Great Expectations, a song that combines folk with distorted AOR and should sound like a complete flop, but works amazingly well.
After Toto IV The band's fortunes took a turn for the worse. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career and the band had to go through several drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the group in the wake of drug charges and the group continued to perform as a trio with Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
Toto released Isolation despite the turmoil. It was not as popular as IV. The band managed to release an album that was chart-topping, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. The album marked the end of the original Toto lineup and was the first to feature a new singer, Simon Phillips.
Tours
The band has performed all over the world to a global audience of millions, and has sold-out shows in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia and New Zealand. The band's repertoire is vast, and their collective catalog has accumulated over a billion streams on streaming services worldwide. The band's music has influenced numerous generations of fans.
Steve Lukather has forged a rich, deep friendship with Joe Williams that is flourishing professionally around the globe. In 2018 the duo celebrated 40 Tours Around the Sun with a massively successful global tour. The album of the same name debuted at 5 on the Billboard 200. The band's newest tour features their most popular hits rare live deep-cuts as well as some songs from Lukather's and Williams individual catalogs.
TOTO has a satisfaction rating of 20 Based on its Net Promoter Score which measures how likely customers are to recommend the brand. Promoters are those who praise the company and actively encourage others to make use of their products or services. Detractors rate the company negatively and actively discourage people from using its products or services.
Join Toto to experience a unique cultural encounter in Asia. It also includes one night in the charming city of Luang Prabang. This UNESCO World Heritage City is a feast for your senses. This is an unforgettable trip that you won't want to miss!
Line-up
Turn Back, the band's third studio album it was an attempt to return to the classic sextet structure and an even more consistent and powerful effort that had a more grittier edge. The more experimental sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the maturation in the group. Bobby Kimball's growing ability to play was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. Keyboardist David Paich's work was sharper, more intricate and less cloned earlier recordings.
After touring to promote their album, the band recorded the band's Amsterdam live concert that was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set titled Falling In Between. A new studio album followed shortly after, and the band embarked on a long-distance tour to promote the album. During this period, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes replaced Paich and bassist David Hungate quit the group to spend time with his family.
In 1998, Paich and Lukather started searching through old demos and tapes in search of a new record featuring songs that were never recorded before. It was completed as a double-album titled Then And Now in 2001. It was the first album in the band's history not to include one single track with the word "A" in its title. It also included one previously not released track, "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New was a commercial failure and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis that affected his singing abilities. Hungate also returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming duties were replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.
Downes, Wetton Palmer and Howe, the original members of Asia, met in England early in 2006 to discuss the possibility that the band could be reformed. This lineup, minus Howe who was occupied with Yes during that time, was renamed Toto XIV. 먹튀검증 커뮤니티 toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band featured an appearance by singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
