Car Seat Buggy 2 in 1 - Combos That Are Easy to Use
The Car Seat Buggy 2 in 1 combines two of the most crucial baby items: strollers and infant car seats. It makes it easier to get on and off public transport (and walk up and down stairs).
Doona's infant car seat and stroller combo is a great option. It's the first integrated travel system that allows you to switch between the car seat and stroller in a matter of seconds without disturbing your sleepy baby.
Simple to use
Parents must have a stroller and car seat combination that is simple to use. 2 in 1 pushchair allow you to easily change between running errands, or walking the dog before going for an exercise. You can also adapt to the ever-changing needs of your child, so you can have fun with your family adventures. Our testers love how easily and smoothly these travel systems glide whether they have only one front wheel or a swiveling rear wheel. The Thule Urban Glide 2 Combo and the BOB Alterrain Pro combo are incredibly easy to maneuver however, the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo and the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo can be pushed effortlessly with just one hand.
Some models are difficult to remove or attach from the base. The Doona Combo, for example requires a two-step attachment process and straps that go over the infant carrier's bottom portion. It's tempting to skip these steps, but it could result in dangerous results.
In the same way some models are hard to fold and put away, which makes them less practical than other. Graco FastAction 3 in 1 Car Seat Stroller is difficult to fold because of its huge dimensions and heavy frames. It also has a small canopy, which some users are disappointed with. The Britax Parkway Combo Click and Go is simple to fold with just a push of a button and a pull of the lever. This model is also a great option for parents who plan on using their car seats on other people's vehicles as it can be removed from the base and then attached to any standard stroller.
Easy to Fold
If you're storing your car seat on its own, in the trunk of your vehicle or even in the closet, it should be simple to fold and unfold. The most efficient combinations we've tried fold easily with one hand and are sturdy enough to use on long walks. They are also easy to maneuver and glide effortlessly over uneven surfaces. Certain combos are only attached and detached by straps. This could seem like a step in the back, and can make it more difficult for parents to secure their car seat properly.
We love the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo for its convenient features and sturdy construction, which include a large storage basket that is accessible from the front to the back. Its exclusive SafeCenter LATCH makes it easy to achieve a secure car seat installation by simply connecting the lower anchors by pulling the straps tightly and clicking the carrier into the base.
It is also relatively light and compact, making it a great choice for families or frequent travelers who have multiple vehicles. The Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo and the Thule Urban Glide 2 have also scored well in our tests of user-friendliness. Both have one front wheel that is easy to push (one-handed! ), as well as an swivel front wheel that can be swiveled which is ideal for shopping or running around. The only drawback is that they're quite heavy, so it can be tricky to lift them up when you're carrying children in the car seat.
Easy to Assemble
Certain car seat and stroller combinations can be difficult to put together. The UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo is one of the most simple travel systems to assemble. It comes with a helpful guide. Other models we tested, such as the UPPAbaby Minu, UPPAbaby Vista V2 Thule Urban Glide 2 and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal, were also fairly simple to put together. In contrast, the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo is difficult to put together as it requires two steps: connecting the lower anchors and using straps to cover the bottom portion of the carrier. It's also very heavy, which means it requires two hands to secure the carrier into the base and detach it from the base.
In our tests it took us around 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 together. This is quite fast when you consider the time it saves by not having to take out the pieces. The majority of these models have a simple process for attaching and detaching the toddler seat, as well.
