Electrochemical water splitting is an ideal pollution-free path to generate hydrogen at large scale, though the developing of highly catalytic electrocatalysts for water oxidation reaction at large current densities are still a fundamental challenge. In this work, we demonstrated a novel, high wettability water-oxidation electrocatalyst composed of amorphous NiFe layer and CoS film on commercial nickel foam via a two-step electrodeposition synthetic path. Benefiting from the strong interactions between NiFe layer and CoS film, enlarged surface active sites and enhanced wettability, CoS@NiFe/NF electrode exhibited outstanding water oxidation performance at 10 mA/cm 2 with an overpotential of 175 mV in 1 M KOH solution and steadily delivered a current density of 1 A/cm 2 at merely 330 mV in 30 wt% KOH solution. Even at large densities, the CoS@NiFe/NF hybrids also showed excellent water oxidation stability and corrosion resistance for at least 24 h. Such synergistic assembling approach to fabricate CoS@NiFe/NF heterostructure together with excellent OER performance may possess a promising strategy for rationally building and designing hetero-structural electrocatalysts towards highly efficient water oxidation reaction. © 2020 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. buy IDF-11774 KGaA, Weinheim. The highest efficacy of oral propranolol is for infantile hemangioma (IH) in the proliferative phase. Evaluation of the effectiveness of oral propranolol is less established when it is administered in late infancy following the proliferative phase. We aimed to assess the clinical outcomes of pediatric patients managed by oral propranolol beyond the proliferative phase of IH. A retrospective cohort study in a tertiary healthcare referral center was conducted to track all patients with IH receiving systemic propranolol following the proliferative phase. Twenty-eight eligible patients were managed by 2-3mg/kg per day of oral propranolol for IH beyond the proliferative phase, defined at 9 months of age. The mean age at the initiation of propranolol was estimated at 11.25 (SD, 2.24) months. All eligible patients experienced some degree of clinical resolution, with the average improvement rate being estimated at 77.1 (SD, 16.1)%. Comparable results were achieved among patients who were placed on propranolol at an age older than 12 months and those managed between the age of 9 and 12 months. No serious adverse events were observed during the follow-up duration. In conclusion, oral propranolol is a safe and effective treatment for patients with IH initiating this agent beyond the proliferative phase. This article is protected by copyright. We classify the goals of citizen science in ecology and environment into four broad categories (1) scientific, (2) participant benefits, (3) community, and (4) policy. Although none of these goals have been well studied, we review the literature showing that these projects are most effective in tracking ecological trends over large swaths of space and time, and discuss the challenges of recruiting, training, retaining, and educating participants, maintaining and disseminating high-quality data, and connecting with the larger community and policy. Biomedical studies, where patients participate in their own treatment in randomized trials, provide an interesting comparison with citizen science in ecology, sharing challenges in recruitment and involvement of nonscientists and ethical conduct of research. Future study will help address the ethical difficulties and enhance ways for citizen science in ecology and the environment to complement scientific discovery, involve and educate the public, and guide policy founded in science and the local community. © 2020 New York Academy of Sciences.Existing literature has provided support for an association between posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and emotion dysregulation. However, few studies have examined the relation between PTSD and emotion dysregulation that stems from positive emotions. Moreover, the role of trauma exposure, per se, on positive emotion dysregulation is unknown. Addressing these limitations, the current study compared levels of positive emotion dysregulation among (a) individuals without trauma exposure, (b) trauma-exposed individuals without probable PTSD, and (c) trauma-exposed individuals with probable PTSD. Participants were 400 community-dwelling individuals (M age = 43.76 years, 68.6% female; 24.2% Asian, 23.7% Black, 24.5% Hispanic, 27.6% White). Lower levels of positive emotion dysregulation were found among trauma-exposed participants without probable PTSD compared to trauma-exposed participants with probable PTSD, ds = 0.66-0.73, and unexposed participants, ds = 0.58-0.64. The present findings suggest the potential protective role of low levels of positive emotion dysregulation following trauma exposure. If replicated in longitudinal studies, these results may indicate the utility of enhancing skills for regulating positive emotions among individuals at risk for trauma exposure. © 2020 International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. The adjuvant analgesics are a large and diverse group of drugs that were developed for primary indications other than pain and are potentially useful analgesics for one or more painful conditions. The "adjuvant" designation reflects their early use as opioid co-analgesics for cancer pain. During the past 3 decades, their role in pain management has changed with the advent of many new entities, emerging data from numerous analgesic trials, and growing clinical experience. Many of these drugs are now used as primary analgesics for specific types of chronic pain. With proper patient selection and cautious administration, they can potentially contribute meaningfully to the management of chronic pain in older adults. A practical approach categorizes the many adjuvant analgesics by broad indications multipurpose drugs and drugs that target neuropathic pain, musculoskeletal pain, and cancer pain, respectively. This article reviews the status of the evidence supporting the analgesic potential of the adjuvant analgesics and discusses best practices in terms of drug selection and dosing.
