Coronavirus disease 2019 is associated with high mortality rates and multiple organ damage. There is increasing evidence that these patients are at risk for various cardiovascular insults; however, there are currently no guidelines for the diagnosis and management of such cardiovascular complications in patients with coronavirus disease 2019. We share data and recommendations from a multidisciplinary team to highlight our institution's clinical experiences and guidelines for managing cardiovascular complications of coronavirus disease 2019.

This was a retrospective cohort study of patients admitted to one of six ICUs dedicated to the care of patients with coronavirus disease 2019 located in three hospitals within one academic medical center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Tacrolimus reduced ethanol intake and BALs. Tacrolimus had no effect on water intake, but reduced saccharin intake. There was no effect of sirolimus, PEA, or secukinumab on ethanol intake or BALs. For evaluation of the effect of tablet size on deformation behaviour and mechanical properties, compressibility, compactibility and tabletability plots are created and evaluated. Deformation behaviour is analysed by In-Die Heckel plot and modified Weibull function. Further, specific plastic energy (SPE) profiles are generated out of force-displacement plots. The effect of the adjustment of the aspect ratio towards 1 as in conventionally sized tablets on deformation behaviour and tabletability is analysed. The effect of tablet size on deformation behaviour mainly showed lower yield pressures for conventionally sized tablets, whereas comparable SPEs were obtained with all tablet sizes. However, no superior tabletability properties are obtained for mini-tablets compared to conventionally sized tablets.This paper presents a novel evaluation approach for optical coherence tomography (OCT) image analysis of pharmaceutical solid dosage forms based on deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs). As a proof of concept, CNNs were applied to image data from both, in- and at-line OCT implementations, monitoring film-coated tablets as well as single- and multi-layered pellets. CNN results were compared against results from established algorithms based on ellipse-fitting, as well as to human-annotated ground truth data. Performance benchmarks used include, efficiency (computation speed), sensitivity (number of detections from a defined test set) and accuracy (deviation from the reference method). link3 The results were validated by comparing the output of several algorithms to data manually annotated by human experts and microscopy images of cross-sectional cuts of the same dosage forms as a reference method. In order to guarantee comparability for all results, the algorithms were executed on the same hardware. Since modern OCT systems must operate under real-time conditions in order to be implemented in-line into manufacturing lines, the necessary steps are discussed on how to achieve this goal without sacrificing the algorithmic performance and how to tailor a deep CNN to cope with the high amount of image noise and alterations in object appearance. The developed deep learning approach outperforms static algorithms currently available in pharma applications with respect to performance benchmarks, and represents the next level in real time evaluation of challenging industrial OCT image data.We here introduce the third major release of the SIMPLE (Single-particle IMage Processing Linux Engine) open-source software package for analysis of cryogenic transmission electron microscopy (cryo-EM) movies of single-particles (Single-Particle Analysis, SPA). Development of SIMPLE 3.0 has been focused on real-time data processing using minimal CPU computing resources to allow easy and cost-efficient scaling of processing as data rates escalate. Our stream SPA tool implements the steps of anisotropic motion correction and CTF estimation, rapid template-based particle identification and 2D clustering with automatic class rejection. SIMPLE 3.0 additionally features an easy-to-use web-based graphical user interface (GUI) that can be run on any device (workstation, laptop, tablet or phone) and supports a remote multi-user environment over the network. The new project-based execution model automatically records the executed workflow and represents it as a flow diagram in the GUI. This facilitates meta-data handling and greatly simplifies usage. Using SIMPLE 3.0, it is possible to automatically obtain a clean SP data set amenable to high-resolution 3D reconstruction directly upon completion of the data acquisition, without the need for extensive image processing post collection. Only minimal standard CPU computing resources are required to keep up with a rate of ∼300 Gatan K3 direct electron detector movies per hour. We searched PubMed, EMBASE, CINAHL, POPLINE, and Global Index Medicus to identify studies describing pharmacologic agents used to induce fetal demise prior to termination of pregnancy. We included randomized controlled trials and observational studies comparing digoxin, potassium chloride (KCL), and lidocaine to induce fetal demise. We included studies that evaluated the primary outcomes of safety and effectiveness, including success in achieving fetal demise, induction to expulsion time for medical abortion, dilation and evacuation time, as well as maternal side effects and complications.
