A better Distinction Temperatures Settlement Method for MEMS Resonant Accelerometers.
Cystic Echinococcosis (hydatidosis) is caused by the larval stage of Echinococcus spp. It is an animal-borne zoonotic parasitic disease with local epidemic and natural foci, which is very common in northwest China. In recent years, a considerable attention has been paid to the epidemic investigation of hydatid disease in humans and sheep, but there are few large-scale epidemic investigation and data analysis of bovine hydatid disease. We systematically reviewed and analyzed the prevalence of bovine hydatid disease (2000-2021) in China for the first time. Several databases including CNKI, Wanfang, VIP Chinese periodical database, Baidu Library, PubMed and ScienceDirect were used to search 57 articles and 72 sets of valid data about bovine hydatid disease in China from 2000 to 2021. We used the random effect model in META package of R software, and PAS for rate conversion. The subgroup analysis and univariate meta regression analysis were used to reveal the factors leading to the heterogeneity of the study. The total prevalence rate of bovine hydatid disease in China from 2000 to 2021 is estimated to be 17.27% (10898/63113). According to the analysis of sampling years, the lowest positive rate since 2016 is 7.54% (1503/19929). The highest prevalence rate of bovine hydatid disease is 53.93% (4340/8048). The infection rate of bovine liver accounted for the highest proportion of the total infections, 45.2% (2040/4507). We also assessed the effects of different geographical and climatic factors on the prevalence of bovine hydatid disease. The results showed that the prevalence rate of hydatid disease was higher in cold and humid areas. Although the infection rate of bovine hydatid disease has declined in recent years, it is still necessary to carry out long-term surveillance and control of hydatid disease, cut off the infection route and reduce the risk of infection in high-risk areas. In contemporary society, numerous food discourses are being constructed and promoted regarding how and what people should eat. However, such expositions are often too nutrition-centred and contradict each other, leaving contemporary eaters at a loss rather than rescuing them from their gastro-anomic situations. It is therefore necessary to seek an understanding of what 'eating well' means to contemporary people and to navigate current food discourses based on such a social consensus. Using a combined method of ethics (capability approach) and the sociology of food, the aim of this study was to arrive at an understanding of the total - spatial to temporal, quality, structural and aesthetic - dimensions of eating well through a web-based questionnaire survey conducted in Japan (n = 973). The norms and practices across all the dimensions were identified, facilitating the creation of a social standard that indicates the parameters of their capability to eat well. Some findings are in conflict with current discourses, in which particular meal structures have been idealised and solo eating has been stigmatised. The analysis also highlights the absence of socio-cultural values in people's dietary mindsets as a consequence of the nutrition-centred food discourses.
Recent evidence suggests that the presence of magnetic susceptibility changes in MS lesions correlates with patients' expanded disability status scale (EDSS).

This study evaluated the presence of ring lesions (RLs) and non-RLs, as well as changes in lesion susceptibility and lesion volume over a two-year time period in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) patients and compared these measures to the EDSS.

Longitudinal cohort.

A total of forty-three (43) patients with RRMS were recruited for this study. All subjects underwent 3T MRI at baseline and forty-one (41) subjects had follow-up scans over a two-year period. The protocol included T2 fluid attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR), pre- and post-contrast 2D T1-weighted gradient echo imaging and susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) sequences. All data were acquired prior to gadolinium-based contrast agent injection except for SWI and post-contrast T1-weighted data. Mean and peak susceptibilities of lesions were measured using quantitative susated with increased disability as measured by EDSS. These findings may strengthen the role of QSM in assessing MS patients radiologically.
The susceptibility distribution and lesion volumes for the RLs remained almost constant over time, suggesting that the changes in pathophysiology of the RLs is a gradual process. On the other hand, the presence of more than one RL along with both volume and susceptibility of non-RL QSM+ lesions were significantly associated with increased disability as measured by EDSS. These findings may strengthen the role of QSM in assessing MS patients radiologically. In this study, an attempt was made to decipher the underlying differential response mechanism of Klebsiella sp. KL-1 induced by exposure to disparate categories of dyestuffs in xylose (Xyl) co-metabolic system. Here, representative reactive black 5 (RB5), remazol brilliant blue R (RBBR) and malachite green (MG) belonging to the azo, anthraquinone and triphenylmethane categories were employed as three model dyestuffs. Klebsiella sp. KL-1 enabled nearly 98%, 80% or 97% removal of contaminants in assays Xyl + RB5, Xyl + RBBR or Xyl + MG after 48 h, which was respectively 16%, 11% or 22% higher than those in the assays devoid of xylose. LC-QTOF-MS revealed an increased formation of smaller molecular weight intermediates in assay Xyl + RB5, whereas more metabolic pathways were deduced in assay Xyl + RBBR. Metaproteomics analysis displayed remarkable proteome alteration with regards to the structural difference effect of dyestuffs by Klebsiella sp. KL-1. Significant (p-value less then 0.05) activation of pivotal candidate NADH-quinone oxidoreductase occurred after 48 h of disparate dyestuff exposure but with varying abundance. Dominant FMN-dependent NADH-azoreductase, Cytochrome d terminal oxidase or Thiol peroxidase were likewise deemed to be responsible for the catalytic cleavage of RB5, RBBR or MG, respectively. Further, the differential response mechanism towards the structurally discrepant dyestuffs was put forward. Elevated reducing force associated with the corresponding functional proteins/enzymes was transferred to the exterior of the cell to differentially decompose the target contaminants. Overall, this study was dedicated to provide in-depth insights into the molecular response mechanism of co-metabolic degradation of refractory and structurally discrepant dyestuffs by an indigenous isolated Klebsiella strain.Occurrence, spatiotemporal variation, sources, and ecological risks of 20 organophosphorus flame retardants (OPFRs) in water and sediments from Hangzhou Bay (HZB) and its adjacent East China Sea (ECS) were investigated in this study. The concentrations of OPFRs (∑OPFR) in water ranged from 0.51 ng/L to 885 ng/L, with chlorinated OPFRs having the highest value. For sediments, ∑OPFR ranged from 2.93 ng/g, dry weight (dw) to 37.8 ng/g, dw. The ∑OPFR in the water and sediments of HZB in summer was significantly (p less then 0.05) higher than that in autumn. Additionally, the pollution of OPFRs in HZB was higher than that in ECS, and the high-concentration areas appeared in the north and south banks of HZB and near the coast of ECS. Principal component analysis-multiple linear regression showed that the OPFRs in this region were mainly from industrial products (e.g., polyurethane foam/paint/coating/textiles/product processing). find more In terms of aquatic environments, ecological risks were in a low (∑RQs less then 0.1) to moderate (0.1 less then ∑RQs less then 1) level, with regard to median exposure levels, a moderate risk (0.1 less then ∑RQs less then 1) was found in the sediments during autumn. This study can provide new insights into the OPFR pollution characteristic and ecological risk in a specific eco-environment.The associations of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) with semen quality from human studies are conflicting, and also it is largely unknown whether the associations are modified by genetic polymorphisms. We aimed to evaluate the associations between serum concentrations of 18 OCPs and semen quality among 387 Chinese men, and further to examine the modifying effects by genetic polymorphisms in cytochrome P450 (CYP2E1) and glutathione S-transferase (GSTT1). Multivariable linear regressions were used to evaluate the relationships between serum OCP concentrations and semen quality, and the role of CYP2E1 and GSTT1 polymorphisms in modifying the associations were assessed. Multiple testing was adjusted using the false discovery rate (FDR). We observed that men with detectable concentrations of serum ɤ-HCH had a decrease in sperm motility of 7.07% (95% CI -10.9%, -3.24%) compared to those with undetectable concentrations (FDR-P value = 0.02). Men with TT of CYP2E1 rs 915906 genotypes had higher median concentrations of serum dieldrin compared with those with CT/CC of CYP2E1 rs 915906 genotypes. There were interactions between CYP2E1 and GSTT1 polymorphisms and certain OCPs namely ɤ-HCH, δ-HCH, dieldrin, endosulfan I, and endrin aldehyde on semen quality. For example, elevated dieldrin levels in relation to decreased sperm concentration, sperm count, and sperm motility were only observed among men with CC of CYP2E1 rs2031920 genotypes (all Pinteraction less then 0.05). However, these interactions were not statistically significant after the FDR adjustment. Our results suggested that CYP2E1 and GSTT1 polymorphisms may modify the effects of OCP exposures on semen quality. Due to the relatively small size samples, further investigation is warranted to confirm the findings. The rapid development of new energy battery enterprises manifolds the obsolete and scrapped batteries which are considered serious concern for the environment and ecology. Increasing trend of recycling batteries waste is public hazard throughout the world. The batteries wastes affect the various body systems but exact toxicological mechanism of battery wastewater is still unexplored. The present study was designed to observe the toxicological effects of batteries wastes on kidney functional dynamics. In this experiment, a total of 20 male mice were randomly divided into two groups including control and treatment (battery wastewater) group. The control group was provided the normal saline while the battery wastewater group were provided battery waste-water for a period of 21 days. The isolated kidneys were processed for histopathological analysis, biochemical assays, mRNA and protein estimation. The results showed that battery wastewater provision increased the mitochondrial division-related genes and proteins (Drp1, MFF, Fis1) and decreased the expression level of fusion-related nuclear proteins (MFN1, MFN2, OPA1) in kidneys. Moreover, the battery wastewater exposure significantly up-regulated the autophagy (PINK, Parkin, mTOR, ATG5, LC3-b, p62) and apoptosis (Bax, Cytc, APAF1, P53, Caspase3, Caspase8) related mRNA and proteins levels in kidneys. However, down-regulation of mRNA and proteins levels of Bcl2 and Beclin1 were also observed in kidneys after batteries wastes exposure. In conclusion, it is evident that the battery wastewater leads to renal apoptosis and autophagy by disrupting the mitochondrial dynamics in mice kidneys.
