RESULTS OF DATA SYNTHESIS Identified studies were reviewed using a narrative synthesis. Within the 36 articles reviewed, 13 enablers from across organizational, team and individual levels were identified. These enablers were grouped according to five broader themes priority for patient safety, improvement or learning orientation, support, familiarity with colleagues, status, hierarchy and inclusiveness and individual differences. CONCLUSION This systematic review of psychological safety literature identifies a list of enablers of psychological safety within healthcare teams. This study examined how pre-disaster social capital and its changes after a disaster were associated with the onset of mental disorders. In October 2013, we mailed a questionnaire to participants of the Japan Gerontological Evaluation Study living in Mifune town (Kumamoto, Japan) and measured pre-disaster social capital. In April 2016, the Kumamoto earthquake struck the region. Three years after the baseline survey, post-disaster social capital and symptoms of mental disorders were measured using the Screening Questionnaire for Disaster Mental Health (SQD) (n = 828). A multiple Poisson regression indicated that a standard deviation of 1 in pre-disaster social cohesion at community-level reduced the risk of depression (relative risk [RR] = 0.44); a decline in social capital after the disaster elevated the risk among women (RR = 2.44). In contrast to social cohesion, high levels of social participation at community-level were positively associated with the risk of depression among women. Policymakers should pay attention to gender differences and the types of social capital when leveraging social capital for recovery from disasters. © The Author(s) 2020. Published by Oxford University Press on behalf of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.Effectively representing Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) headings (terms) such as disease and drug as discriminative vectors could greatly improve the performance of downstream computational prediction models. However, these terms are often abstract and difficult to quantify. In this paper, we converted the MeSH tree structure into a relationship network and applied several graph embedding algorithms on it to represent these terms. Specifically, the relationship network consisting of nodes (MeSH headings) and edges (relationships), which can be constructed by the tree num. Then, five graph embedding algorithms including DeepWalk, LINE, SDNE, LAP and HOPE were implemented on the relationship network to represent MeSH headings as vectors. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed methods, we carried out the node classification and relationship prediction tasks. The results show that the MeSH headings characterized by graph embedding algorithms can not only be treated as an independent carrier for representation, but also can be utilized as additional information to enhance the representation ability of vectors. Thus, it can serve as an input and continue to play a significant role in any computational models related to disease, drug, microbe, etc. Besides, our method holds great hope to inspire relevant researchers to study the representation of terms in this network perspective. © The Author(s) 2020. Published by Oxford University Press.OBJECTIVE Vocational rehabilitation for people with severe mental illness (SMI) has many benefits. Among the existing models, supported employment has consistently shown to have better impact on vocational outcomes while the findings on non-vocational outcomes are inconsistent. One source of variation with regard to non-vocational outcomes could be related to differences between consumers' self-reports and the providers' point of view. DESIGN A cross-sectional study of people with SMI consuming three different vocational services and their service providers. SETTING Data were collected as part of the Israeli Psychiatric Rehabilitation Patient Reported Outcome Measurement project. PARTICIPANTS The current data is based on 3666 pairs of people with SMI consuming vocational services and their service providers. INTERVENTIONS Vocational services included supported employment, sheltered workshops and vocational support centers. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES The consumers-filled self-report questionnaires, which consisted of the following patient-reported outcome measurements (PROMs) quality of life, functioning and illness management. Primary professional providers were given instruments that mirrored the ones designed for self-report. RESULTS According to providers' ratings, supported employment was associated with higher functioning (F = 78.6, P less then 0.001) and illness management (F = 33.0, P less then 0.001) compared to other vocational services. PROMs revealed that supported employment was associated with higher functioning only (F = 31.5, P less then 0.001). Consumers rated themselves higher compared to providers on all measures. CONCLUSIONS This study provides a deeper insight into non-vocational outcomes of people with SMI participating in vocational services and suggests differences in perspectives between consumers and providers with regard to outcome measures. © Crown copyright 2020.OBJECTIVE Health care-related infections are a public health problem, among them surgical site infection (SSI) are the most frequent in hospitals. The objetive of this study was to assess the effect of the compliance to antibiotic prophylaxis protocol on the incidence of surgical site infection in hysterectomized patients. METHODS A prospective cohort study was carried out between October 2009 and December 2018. The incidence of SSI was studied after a maximum period of 30 days from the moment of surgery. The degree of adequacy of antibiotic prophylaxis in hysterectomy and the effect of its inadequacy on the incidence of infection was evaluated using relative risk (RR) adjusted with a logistic regression model. RESULTS A total of 1,025 interventions were studied in 1,022 women. The cumulative incidence of SSI was 2,1% (n = 22). The most frequent etiology of infection was Escherichia coli (23.1%) and Proteus mirabilis (23.1%). Antibiotic prophylaxis was indicated in 1,014 interventions (98.9%) being administered in 1,009 of them (99.5%). The adherence to the protocol was 92,5%. The main cause of non-compliance was the time of onset (40.9%), followed by the choice of the antibiotic (35.2%). The effect of inadequate prophylaxis on the incidence of infection was RR = 0.9; 95% CI 0.2-3.9; p> 0.05. CONCLUSIONS The adequacy of antibiotic prophylaxis was very high, with a low incidence of surgical site infection. No association was found between adequacy of prophylaxis and incidence of infection in hysterectomy. The continuous improvement of epidemiological surveillance in gynecology should be emphasized. ©The Author 2020. Published by Sociedad Española de Quimioterapia. A total of 102,517 unigenes were obtained, with an average length of 1,076 bp, in which 58,453 (57%) had a functional annotation. A total of 1154 simple sequence repeats (SSRs) distributed over 1078 unigenes were detected. Gene expression profiles in response to cold and desiccation stress and the expression of specific stress-related genes were compared. Gene ontology analysis and pathway-based analysis were used to further investigate the functions of the differentially expressed genes. The reliability of the sequencing data was verified through quantitative real-time PCR analysis of 19 stress-related genes. RNA interference used to further assess the functions of the cold-related unigenes 15628 and 15596 showed that the knockdown of each of these genes led to decreased cold tolerance of D. destructor. Hence, this study revealed molecular processes and pathways active in cold- or dessication-treated nematodes. The transcriptome profiles presented in this study provide insight into the transcriptome complexity and will contribute to further understand stress tolerance in D. destructor.Hemicellulose and cellulose are essential polysaccharides for plant development and major components of cell wall. They are also an important energy source for the production of ethanol from plant biomass, but their conversion to fermentable sugars is hindered by the complex structure of cell walls. The glucuronic acid substitution of xylan (GUX) enzymes attach glucuronic acid to xylan, a major component of hemicellulose, decreasing the efficiency of enzymes used for ethanol production. Since loss-of-function gux mutants of Arabidopsis thaliana enhance enzyme accessibility and cell wall digestion without adverse phenotypes, GUX genes are potential targets for genetically improving energy crops. However, comprehensive identification of GUX in important species and their evolutionary history are largely lacking. Here, we identified putative GUX proteins using hidden Markov model searches with the GT8 domain and a GUX-specific motif, and inferred the phylogenetic relationship of 18 species with Maximum likelihood and Bayesian approaches. Each species presented a variable number of GUX, and their evolution can be explained by a mixture of divergent, concerted and birth-and-death evolutionary models. This is the first broad insight into the evolution of GUX gene family in plants and will potentially guide genetic and functional studies in species used for biofuel production.In this study, novel silicon(iv) phthalocyanines axially disubstituted with bis[(4-3-[3-(dimethylamino)phenoxy]propoxyphenyl)methoxy] and bis[(4-3-[3-(diethylamino)phenoxy]propoxyphenyl)methoxy] groups and their quaternized derivatives were synthesized and characterized. Then, their supercoiled pBR322 plasmid DNA cleavage properties were investigated using agarose gel electrophoresis. The in vitro PDT effects of Si-3a and Si-4a were investigated using the MTT cell viability assay against HCT-116, A549 and SH-SY5Y cell lines. Si-3a and Si-4a did not show cleavage effects upon increasing concentrations in the dark but both compounds showed cleavage activities upon irradiation for 30 and 60 min, respectively. The MTT cell viability assay indicated that Si-4a had a cytotoxic effect in a concentration-dependent manner on the HCT-116 cell line but it did not show any statistical difference with regard to phototoxicity. Otherwise, Si-3a and Si-4a had significant phototoxic effects when compared to cytotoxic effects against A549 and SH-SY5Y.
