The actual usefulness, challenges, and facilitators regarding telemedicine inside post-treatment cancers survivorship proper care: an introduction to thorough reviews.
The aim of this paper is to investigate the impact of Brexit on the dependence between European financial markets. We use the Diebold and Yilmaz (2009, 2012) approach to better map the relationship between the three main European markets and we propose an Optimal portfolio weighting to gain insights into the portfolio design dynamics in the period between 2013 and 2019, in particular any changes due to uncertainty surrounding Brexit. First, the findings show that between September 2015 and September 2016, the high level of volatility and spillover confirms the strong degree of market integration, with uncertainty surrounding the referendum outcome having a clear impact on the three main European markets. Second, the direction of spillover in the pre-Brexit period was from the UK market to the French and German markets in anticipation of uncertainty regarding the outcome of the referendum and the period immediately following it. Third, only the conditional correlation between the pair (CAC40-FTSE100) is characterized by an asymmetric effect.Natural levees are common features in river, delta and tidal landscapes. They are elevated near-channel morphological features that determine the connection between channel and floodbasin, and consequently affect long-term evolution up to delta-scales. Despite their relevance in shaping fluvial-tidal systems, research on levees is sparse and often limited to fluvial or non-tidal case studies. There is also a general lack of understanding of the role of vegetation in shaping these geomorphic units, and how levee morphology and dimensions vary in the transition from fluvial to coastal environments, where tides are increasingly important. Our goal is to unravel the effects of fluvial-tidal boundary conditions, sediment supply and vegetation on levee characteristics and floodbasin evolution. These conditions were systematically explored by 60 large-scale idealized morphodynamic simulations in Delft3D which self-developed levees over the course of one century. We compared our results to a global levee dataset compution. This brings new insights for geological reconstructions as well as for the future management of deltas and estuaries under sea-level rise. © 2020 The Authors. This study examined how custodial grandmothers navigated the process of their grandchildren being reunified with a biological parent.

Prior research has focused on factors associated with unsuccessful reunification instead of resilient family processes that may support successful reunification. How custodial grandfamilies navigate reunification has not been examined, despite their unique relational configuration and grandparents' frequent involvement in raising their grandchildren.

Guided by Walsh's model of family resilience, semistructured, in-depth qualitative interviews were conducted with a convenience sample of 17 grandmothers whose custodial grandchildren had been reunified with a biological parent. Data analysis was guided by grounded theory methodology.

Grandmothers believed in parents fulfilling their obligations, prioritizing grandchildren's needs, and coping via their faith. Grandmothers supported reunified parents and children by providing emotional support and instrumental assistance, while maintaining clear role boundaries. Accessing resources and engaging in open family communication were helpful to the reunification, although there were still challenges in navigating family relationships.

Within custodial grandfamilies, not all reunifications were a positive outcome for the grandchildren. Grandmothers remained heavily involved in supporting and monitoring the reunifications, with the quality of the grandmother-parent relationship being paramount.

Practitioners should address family dynamics when working with custodial grandfamilies before, during, and after a reunification.

We examined how married custodial grandparents from the same household appraise the impact of caring for a grandchild on their sense of self, and how these appraisals are related to their psychological well-being.

This study is important because there is scant information on how custodial grandmothers and grandfathers both experience their caregiver role, even though 70% of these grandparents are married.

Four competing measurement and structural models from the combined perspectives of the stress process model and the two-factor model of caregivers' psychological well-being were tested with 193 married grandmothers and grandfathers.

The best fitting model was one in which two positive (personal gain and satisfaction) and two negative (loss of self and role captivity) appraisals emerged as distinct first-order constructs. Both negative appraisals correlated highest with negative affect, and both positive appraisals correlated highest with positive affect. The measurement and structural components of this model were largely invariant by grandparent gender. Mean comparisons showed that grandmothers reported significantly higher negative appraisals than grandfathers, with the latter reporting significantly greater perceived gain in the caregiving role. Bivariate correlations between grandmothers' and grandfathers' appraisals were nonsignificant for perceived gain and loss of self and of only moderate magnitude for caregiver satisfaction and role captivity.

Given that appraisals are a core component of coping with stressors, our findings have important practice implications and point to meaningful directions for future research regarding custodial grandparent families.

The principle is based on existing image-to-image translation approaches, where each pixel in an image is assigned to a class label. We show that established networks architectures can be trained for the task of multiclass face analysis in thermal infrared. Created class annotations consisted of pixel-accurate locations of different face classes. Subsequently, the trained network can segment an acquired unknown infrared face image into the defined classes. Furthermore, face classification in live image acquisition is shown, in order to be able to display the relative temperature in real-time from the learned areas. This allows a pixel-accurate temperature face analysis e.g. for infection detection like Covid-19. At the same time our approach offers the advantage of concentrating on the relevant areas of the face. Areas of the face irrelevant for the relative temperature calculation or accessories such as glasses, masks and jewelry are not considered. A custom database was created to train the network. The results were quantitatively evaluated with the intersection over union (IoU) metric. The methodology shown can be transferred to similar problems for more quantitative thermography tasks like in materials characterization or quality control in production.Cyber technologies are offering new horizons for quality control in manufacturing and safety assurance in-service of physical assets. The line between non-destructive evaluation (NDE) and Industry 4.0 is getting blurred since both are sensory data-driven domains. This multidisciplinary approach has led to the emergence of a new capability NDE 4.0. The NDT community is coming together once again to define the purpose, chart the process, and address the adoption of emerging technologies. In this paper, the authors have taken a design thinking approach to spotlight proper objectives for research on this subject. It begins with qualitative research on twenty different perceptions of stakeholders and misconceptions around the current state of NDE. The interpretation is used to define ten value propositions or use cases under 'NDE for Industry 4.0' and 'Industry 4.0 for NDE' leading up to the clarity of purpose for NDE 4.0-enhanced safety and economic value for stakeholders. this website To pursue this worthy cause, the paper delves into some of the top adoption challenges, and proposes a journey of managed innovation, conscious skills development, and a new form of leadership required to succeed in the cyber-physical world.Despite growing recognition among journalists and political pundits, the concept of victimhood has been largely ignored in empirical social science research. In this article, we develop a theory about, and use unique nationally-representative survey data to estimate, two manifestations of victimhood an egocentric one entailing only perceptions of one's own victimhood, and one focused on blaming "the system." We find that these manifestations of victimhood cut across partisan, ideological, and sociodemographic lines, suggesting that feelings of victimhood are confined to neither "actual" victims nor those partisans on the losing side of elections. Moreover, both manifestations of victimhood, while related to candidate support and various racial attitudes, prove to be distinct from related psychological constructs, such as (collective) narcissism, system justification, and relative deprivation. Finally, an experiment based on candidate rhetoric demonstrates that some political messaging can make supporters feel like victims, which has consequences for subsequent attitudes and behavior. The eastern oyster (Crassostrea virginica) is a keystone species in estuarine environments but faces threats to shell formation associated with warming temperatures and acidification. Extrapallial fluid (EF), which is responsible for shell formation, harbors diverse and abundant microbial communities. Commensal microbial communities are vital to host health and fitness, yet long-term studies investigating temporal responses of the EF microbiome and its function in oyster fitness are lacking. In this study, bacterial communities of oyster EF and the water column were characterized monthly from October 2010 to September 2011. We investigated the selection, composition, and dynamics of resident and transient community members, evaluated the impact of temperature on EF microbial communities, and examined the functional role of the EF microbiome. Oyster EF communities were significantly different from the water column and were enriched for several taxa, including the Deltaproteobacteria, Epsilonproteobacteria, and Gammaproteobacteria. Overall, 94 resident members were identified in oyster EF. These members were persistent and abundant, comprising on average 33% of EF communities. Resident EF communities formed high-temperature and low-temperature groups and were more abundant overall at colder temperatures. Oyster EF resident communities were predicted to be enriched for dissimilatory nitrate reduction, nitrogen fixation, nitrification, and sulfite reductase genes. Sulfate and nitrate reduction may have a synergistic effect on calcium carbonate precipitation and indirectly aid in shell formation. Therefore, the potential role of the oyster EF microbiome in shell formation warrants further investigation as oysters and other shellfish face the future impacts of ocean warming and acidification.
